About Ruth's Chris Steak House - Niagara Falls
Our story began in 1965 when Ruth Fertel purchased "Chris Steak House" in New Orleans. Proudly adding her name to the original, Ruth"s Chris Steak House has since become renowned for providing and incredible Steak House experience.
Our Prime USDA steaks are cooked to perfection in an 1800° broiler and served sizzling on a plate heated to 500° to lock in the delicious flavour. Our steaks may have made us famous but our southern roots and warm hospitality are equally memorable.
With over 135 locations worldwide, our family of Steak Houses continues to offer extraordinary steaks, sides and desserts; prepared just as Ruth would have herself, with high quality, fresh ingredients, generous portions and that special homemade touch.

Ruth's Chris Steak House - Niagara Falls Ratings and Reviews
The food was wonderful (as always for Ruth's Chris Steak House). We were seated in an area that I would call the "overflow" area of the restaurant (they called it their "new section" which had obviously not been finished), so the ambiance was simply okay. In all, with drinks and tip, the meal was pricey...well over $600 (Canadian dollars) for two people. I have to say the dinner was fantastic--it just may not have been worth the large price tag. The waitstaff were not as responsive as I would have expected. I had to ask for one of my requests three times. I would have expected more for such a pricey dinner. However, we did have a lovely time.
Greeted promptly! I had earlier let them know this was our 45th anniversary and several gave us well wishes. Rose petals were sprinkled on our table as a nice touch and after our nice meal of filet they brought us a nice chocolate desert with HAPPY ANNIVERSARY spelled out on the dish. All in all, very nice with the caveat of it being VERY high priced!!
First time at Ruth's Chris. The rich buttery flavor in every bite of our petite filet steaks was amazing. Our side dishes of au gratin potatoes and asparagus were also excellent. To our disappointment we were unable to treat ourselves to a delectable dessert. The portions of our meal were very generous.
We would highly recommend Ruth's Chris Steak House.
Unfortunately we didn't get to actually eat the food, so I can't comment on that part.
I will say that our waiter, Joseph, was wonderful.
But.....after seeing the prices, my husband and I had to do the walk of shame, and leave. I thought our meal would be $250.
Turns out, it would've come to $477!! And that's if we SHARED a potato, a veg, and a dessert (!!!), and skipped the Caesar salad altogether.
That was such a huge disappointment. And the timing couldn't have been worse, with it being our 20th Wedding Anniversary.
That's an outrageous price for dinner. Especially one without a view of the Falls.
We've eaten at The Fallsview Keg and Watermark, for half the price (or less!), absolutely LOVED our meal, and had an incredible view of the Falls.
I've never in my life had the need to walk out of a restaurant. And was so disappointed that was how our BIG anniversary dinner experience at Ruth's went. :(
So based on our experience, we wouldn't recommend it to anyone...
Seared Ahi Tuna and French Onion Soup to start. Rib Steak and 8 oz. Filet with lobster tail. Shared Cheminis mushrooms and fire roasted corn. Pretzel bread with whipped butter. Best Creme Brulee ever. The entire dinner was amazing as usual. We've never been to a Ruth ' s that had bad food or bad service.
Speaking of service, our server was Judy. She was so friendly and funny, not to mention knowledgeable about the menu. She has also eaten there as a customer. Her recommendations were spot on.
Loved Judy, the food and the restaurant itself. I know it's expensive but for a very special occasion it's worth every penny.
Service and ambience were excellent as expected at RC. Food today though was nothing special to command $70+ for a steak only. Lobster Mac and cheese was also overcooked and dry. Disappointing for RC steakhouse. Also mentioned was a birthday dinner but aside from spreading some glitter decoration on the table, they did nothing else. Could have spent $500+ somewhere else for special occasion dinner.
Worst Restaurant ever! Poor service for the guest! No atention whatsoever, had reservation at 8:30 never got a table, waited for 1 hour and 10 mins and left.... every time we asked for time wait, they kept saying 20 mins more.
Basically if you are with kids and family to celebrate
A B-day you are not taken seriously, if you go with "coupons and not so nice people" you get a table!
Very bad experience, never going back!
Staff was very friendly. The additional seating in the restaurant was very weird. It reminded me of what a French house of ill repute would look like. A booth big enough for 2 with curtains that could be pulled shut (unless you were claustrophobic )why ? We ordered a 5 course meal. The entree's were delicious. Unfortunately the waiter forgot to order our 2 sides, so we cancelled them because it wasn't appealing to eat a sweet potato casserole and brussel sprouts on their own. We were given a 20% discount off the price of the sides. We gave a discount coupon to the waiter when seated, but he forgot to take $100 off of the bill. Which he did after we brought it to his attention. Waiter was very nice & he might have been having an OFF day. Unfortunately, when you pay $457.00 for dinner, you expect a better experience.
Undercooked au gratin was starchy and too firm. Steak was ordered medium rare, and half was, but half was medium. Broccoli was perfect. First two wine choices were out of stock, and the recommended replacement options were not ideal. The first was more than twice the price, and the second was ok, but not as nice as the first choices would have been.
I could not believe how expensive this place was! The entrees don't even come with any sides and the sides are ridiculously expensive. Even with $100 gift card our dinner was way more expensive then going to the keg where you get more, better quality food at the keg in my opinion. I would not waste the time or money (even with a voucher) for this experience!
This restaurant never disappoints. Always great food and great service. We had the pleasure of having Kent serve us and he was fabulous. My only complaint is that I left my sweater behind and when I came back later to retrieve it .. it was no where to be found ... guess an employee decided they liked it !
We didn't realize the niagara menu would cost so much more than Toronto - there was literally a $60 difference in the rib eye pricing. We had a $250 gift card and the whole process of getting it sorted out took about 40 minutes. They didn't want to honour it at first and told us we had to figure it out ourselves because there was a validation issue. It baffled our mind that WE had to figure out THEIR system for them! So there we were calling the customer service line who told us there should be no issues processing the gift card. The entire process was a nightmare and put a huge damper on the entire experience. Towards the end, Andres, one of the managers helped us process the gift card (which we were thankful for). Our waitress was nice but other than that, I won't ever go back. Terrible customer service towards the end.
This was my second time at this location. The staff are amazing, so friendly & professional. Service was wonderful. Our server was Penny, she was excellent! One of our steaks was over cooked, they were very apologetic and did everything they can to make up for it. Yes prices are a little on the higher end (but you know this going to Ruth's Chris) , they should maybe consider not charging a side of steamed broccoli the same as all the other sides for instance - but all round very delicious food and spectacular service. Their Cheese Cake and the Creme Brulee are amazing by the way! We shared among 4 people it was perfect.
Will definitely be back!
