Steak House Salad
Iceberg, baby spinach and spring mix with cherry tomatoes, garlic croutons and red onions.
The tenderest cut of corn-fed midwestern beef. 11-oz.
Sweet Potato Casserole
With a pecan and brown sugar crust.
Both steaks were amazing. And you’ll laugh - we thought the mashed potatoes were INCREDIBLE
Spent about $120 on a ribeye that was not cooked even close to what I had ordered, filet was not bad mash potatoes were not very good at all, calamari was alright did not stay for dessert spent over $400 for a meal I did not enjoy... for these prices I would expect something decent to eat
Great service the trainee on the bar was great I ordered a second drink
Where do I start: we arrived on time, not super dressed up(forgot suitcase at home so we just went out and purchased some new casual clothes for out 3 night get away). Was taken all the way to the back or Restaraunt out of sight of other patrons seeing we weren’t dressed up. They saved the front for patrons better dressed. The even moved patrons with kids and others whom weren’t well dressed to the back (dungeon). I looked around at other patrons whom were also in the back area with us and they too were less dressed. I felt it was to not hinder their well dressed representation. I ordered a 12oz prime rib medium rare to medium cooked with baked potato. The meat was more rare than medium to medium rare. The meat was Luke warm in temperature. They had forgotten the back potatoes for the two of us. Waitress was hardly ever around to voice concern. We had a 100.00 voucher. I did request manger however they were to busy to talk with us. When it came to paying the bill I was very reserved on a tip and didn’t want to give one yet I gave something. The waitress look at what was given when it printed from debit machine roll (was rolled up)and threw the receipt folded up from the debit machine roll down at my hands and table. She did apologizes as if it were a mistake however the two of us seen it and it was NOT and mistake in the waitress action.
In closing we have gone to “the capital steak house” in chicago” and it was excellent and would go again. This “Ruth Chris Steak House” was the worst food and worst restaurant I’ve been too especially in the Niagara Falls Ontario area. I could never recommend them based on what we experienced and endured. Staff rude and manager didn’t even care.
No special treatment even though it was my birthday. Really extreme prices post-covid. All entrees over $100. Service is slow and washroom was really inconveniently outside. You can tell they are understaffed because of the pandemic.
After we were served our drinks we didn’t see our servers for 45 mins. We didn’t get the free Bread that Ruth’s Chris usually gives ( not sure if that’s because of covid) ....When our food did come, my boyfriend ordered prime rib and it was cold! We had to ask for it to be warmed up. I’ve been to Ruth’s Chris many times and I usually rave about how good the steak is but the overall service and food had me really disappointed this time.
We have coupons from hotel that we’re not honoured in full despite matre’d saying we could use them before we were seated
On our honeymoon.
Booth was next to kitchen door which was extremely noisy.
Creamed spinach was old and cold.
Long wait before anyone checked on us.
Menu is not same as online - selection was poor.
Yorkshire pudding was way burnt
Prime rib and New York strip steaks were perfect
Waiter was great - celebration dessert from the restaurant was a great touch.
Not sure if we got screwed over with seating and menu because we had a voucher. This just didn’t compare to any of multiple Ruth’s Chris restaurants I have attended
My opinion was it was running an expensive restaurant pretty similar to a diner. The food w
I made reservations for my birthday, called ahead of time to let them know we would be there later than the booked time. The lady said as long as we get there before 15 of the reservation time everything would be fine. When we got there by 10 after the reserved time and they refused to give us a table because they stated the kitchen was closed.
Price gouging. Pricing differs from every other Ruth’s Chris in Canada. 2 menus with different pricing under the guise of covid and being a franchise restaurant. Also charging Niagara Falls Development Fee which is not mandatory. Not something I would expect from this world class fine steak restaurant.
Definitely not worth the money food quality bad. Only thing good was mashed potato. Prime rib was lukewarm. Overpriced tourist trap
Dined many times at ruth’s Chris in Toronto totally different experience.
Good was not cooked. Terribly overpriced for what you get.
Waited very long for our main course to be ready. The prices were extremely high in comparison to other quality steak houses. Wouldn’t go back again.
Terrible experience. Awful service. Do not recommend
It was closed on Monday ! We booked in advance and we even called to confirm our booking. When we showed up at 7:45PM on Monday, it was closed. They are a joke.
I have a big problem with the Niagara Falls premium in pricing. $135 CDN for wine that costs $20 at LCBO - that's egregious! Julienne potato AKA french fries! $120 for ribeye, I don't think so. I get they are getting back in a Covid era but this place is so over priced and over-rated. Go down the strip to Morton's. Now I read the tip was in the bill, I didn't see that. Server Zoli was great and had to put up with anti-maskers who gave him a hard time for wearing a mask.
Obscene price, 90$ for a steak?!?!? It says on the sign "Steakhouse" and they're not able to cook a steak the right way!? I asked for medium rare and it was overcooked so I sent it back and asked for rare and it was blue... And poor meat quality... The waiter did what he had to do with my order but not more.
Seriously folks, if you think it's ok to pay 90$ and more for a steak, you should come to Montreal, QC and enjoy a fabulous meal at so many restaurants for sooooo much less.
Should change the name for Ruth's Chris Steal House...
This was so frustrating. Spent a LOT of money to eat here and it was not great. The server was a nice guy but we’ve been to a couple different RCs and the service today just did not compare to what we’ve experienced before. My steak was way too undercooked, and it would have been okay if they even asked if they were cooked to our liking, or if he noticed “hmm, that is rare; not medium”. Hubby waited 20 mins for more water before food came after server said he would be right back. We didn’t get bread until our meal came. After I finished my drink, they didn’t even ask if I wanted another one. The reservation specified it was a birthday and they even asked when we arrived if we were celebrating anything but they didn’t do anything special. Other ones we’ve been to will hAve a cake or SOMETHING. Overall we’re just really disappointed and wished we got hot dogs in the touristy part of town instead.
Disappointed that I had to ask a waitress if gratuities were added to my bill, and I think it should have been disclosed by staff when they hand you the bill. I also believe that I was overcharged on my entree from the price indicated on the menu. Overrated and overpriced.
Our server was very nice. However they had given him way too many tables and he was having trouble keeping up. Though he did work very hard to do so.
The food was not good. Our steaks were tough. One of the members of our party received all of her food ice cold and it had to be sent back to be heated up. And the price was outrageous. It was not a fine dining experience, and we paid a premium for it. I have never had such a poor experience in a Ruth Chris Steakhouse, and I have visited them in several states and Canada.
Pleas know, though, that our server was a hard-working young man who did an excellent job. It was just a bad dining experience from the kitchen and the price.
The salad is fresh bad taste very cheap. Only one flavour.
The steak was ribeye but chief cut one to two pieces and served us.
The place overall is not worth it. Will not come back anymore.
Food was ok, bad service from waiter to hostess and arcade was below our booth very loud
Everything was absolutely delicious, an incredible first time and it definitely will not be our last!
Excellent menus and quality but pricey.
February 14 Valentine’s Day had a reservation for 930 got there in time it was obviously a busy night because we had to wait for one hour eventually we got seated no apologies the food was mediocre they had a special needs kid serving us which he was obviously Nervous as he was serving my girlfriend portion he dropped it luckily my girl wasn’t too fussy she asked me not to say anything however this place has major work to do not impress never will go back
Had reservations for 9:30 was seated over and hour later and didn’t receive food until almost 11:45. Tried to make us pay unnecessary fees as well. Food was amazing best steak I’ve ever had
Waited 70 minutes for our table
With a reservation
It was a waste of time and money. I am used to quality meals and steaks and eat out very frequently and everything about this place was terrible. I would never go back to that restaurant or the other locations nor would I ever recommend anyone to go there. Very disappointed.
Way to expensive. Even with voucher. Over $400
We felt we were in a hallway and near the door that made it too cold. I also thought the server was a bit flippant. We have been to other RC’s and this was a bit disappointing, but the food was still very good.
Over price for the quality of food. The steak and asparagus was extremely salty.
Although the food was good, it was very pricey for what we ordered. Wait staff were nice but for a weekday it seemed they were short staffed and rushing. Not as good as we remembered.
Food was excellent and our server was outstanding.
The food & service was amazing ...would highly recommend.
I've enjoyed my meal , my steak was cooked to perfection , Cesar salad very tasty just enough garlic and parmesan . I would skip croutons, however that's preference. Overall the whole experience was wonderful including service. I found that the prices are too high even for special occasions. I like La Castille in Mississauga which comperse to Ruth's Chris ,but has much better value.
This was our second visit the restaurant. Our first visit was just my wife and I for her birthday. It was great. Staff are very friendly and good at their job.
This visit we brought our cousins. They really enjoyed the experience. Food was excellent.
We will be back again soon.
Great food but very expensive as it’s in the downtown Niagara core. Because of this, there’s a service fee added along with the usual HST tax. All in all very expensive even though food is great.
