Prices different than Toronto location.
Excellent steaks. Great service. Yeah it’s $$$ but you’re in for a treat.
The steak and food at Ruth’s Chris is very good. BUT!! this specific location is a massive RIP OFF as far as prices go. Sure no RC’s prices are cheap, that’s a given. But this location charges on average $30 more per item than any of the others. This because it’s a “tourist” area. So that means a ribeye that costs $79 at other RC’s costs $108 at this location. Which means a already pricey steak costs you $29 EXTRA here because it’s a “special” location. I don’t mind paying extra for good quality food, but I do mind getting screwed over. And good luck with the wine list. Apparently this is also very “special” as your cheapest 6Oz glass of red wine (a California blend) starts at $19 a glass!! Dinner for two here with two steaks, two sides, one glass of wine and one pop cost me $336. Do yourself a favour and go eat at Mortons just up the road at the Marriott. Same quality of food at much fairer prices.
The food was really disappointing, I was expecting an awesome steak and got just average. No better than outback or canyon Creek. Service was sub par, the place is dated.
Perfect dining experience
Service was poor. Food was good, but don’t think it was worth the money spent.
I have been to Many Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses across the US but this place in Niagara Falls Ontario is horribly overpriced. For 2 people to eat with 1 glass of Wine the cost was $410 CAD. Completely not worth the cost. Better of going to The Keg as the Embassy or the Casino across the street.
Extremely overpriced for the presentation and quality of the dishes. The food was good but at these prices I expect exceptional at all levels.
The food was fresh and seasoned very well. With having a gluten and dairy allergies I wish they would have adjusted a little better to offer more options.
Have been to other locations over the years which have always been good, this one was a little below what we are use to. Also, the prices are way higher than the other locations as well. 108 for the ribeye and 56 for chicken. I understand the location warrants a premium price but that was a little much. Wouldn’t return to this location again.
We were seated fine and a waiter “helper” introduced herself and told us the name of who our waiter would be. At that point we showed our travelzoo coupon for 100.00 meal package for the two of us. Everything changed then. The server “helper” became our waitress- we never saw the waiter she originally referred to. She was not familiar with the coupon. She needed glasses to read it but didn’t have any. She used her phone flashlight to try and decipher the coupon which caused a bit of attention to our table. She confirmed we would not be getting an appetizer which was fine. I asked for a pot of warm water which she never brought. I had to get up and approach her to ask for it again. She brought each item in our meal plan and did not visit our table during the meal, to see if we needed anything. I thought when she brought the mini cheesecake dessert she may ask us if we were interested in adding tea or coffee to our bill - she did not offer.
All in all, I felt treated sub-par and I know it was because we had a coupon.
In 2005 we held our May wedding reception at Ruth Chris Mississauga on city centre drive. Every year around our anniversary we have a date weekend and go to Ruth Chris for dinner with thoughts of our wedding.
I think I’m over it. Next time We will go to the steak house over by the Sheridan.
Very overpriced food, the steak and chicken were cooked well but the sides were bland and boring, service was okay and the atmosphere was very intimate.
One minor complaint would be that the waiters in our section were bickering, and fighting with eachother during service. I know tensions can run high in the resturant buisness but if you are going to scold another server, perhaps it should be done in private, not the dining room.
Everything was the best.
The music was so loud you could not enjoy your meal or company. Our soups and our sides were cold.
So overpriced it’s unbelievable; I eat at high end steak restaurants all the time, I have no problem paying for good food, this place although didn’t taste terrible, price point was 200 percent higher than it should be. Not worth it at all.
Great service excellent food great drinks -
Pricey- but you get what you pay for
Service was lackluster, pricing wasn exorbitant. Even with a $70.00 voucher and the US exchange rate I felt I spent too much. It’s comparable to Fleming’s steakhouse.
This was the best dining experience I have had at Ruth’s Chris!
Great ambiance but Be prepared to budget a minimum of $400 for dinner of 2 wiich will include the least expensive bottle of wine.
Other choice restaurants available in Niagara Falls for much much less.
Mike B and Kent were great servers. Very professional and friendly. The manager came around to ask how everything was, we appreciated that touch! The restaurant was quite expensive for what it was in our opinion. We did not love the chop salad, not much flavour.
Was a birthday and was great!
Over priced and mediocre food
Good food, but terribly overpriced. $350 for 2 steaks, 2 sides and 2 glasses of wine
Food was great but very pricey. Bartender could not make a Cosmopolitan martini .... bottle of wine was a great choice! When your paying that kind of money for drinks I expect a great drink :)
Overpriced even with a coupon
It was one of the best birthday dinners that I have had. Patrick was our server, he was amazing and very good to us.
Loved the food, service, ambiance and so on. Felt the prices were a smidge high. The only complaint I had was the size of the dinner plates. Barely large enough for my steak which made eating any sides with it very awkward.
Beautiful experience, service was impeccable, food was delicious. Extremely pricey but nice for a special night out.
Food was good, service on the other hand, not so much. They assign two servers to a single table (absolutely unnecessary), BOTH servers neglected our table of 2 on multiple occasions throughout the course of the night. Way overpriced for the entire experience as well. This was more expensive than many Manhattan restaurants for worse service. Don't go!
I have the New York strip but was like a chewy sirloin. Poor value. It’s gone downhill since we used to come. Broccoli for example used to be $12 now it’s $16 for half the portion. They don’t even have prime rib anymore. That will be our final visit.
Food was great, but service overall did not meet our expectations, overall value below our expectations , wine price on bill higher than menu !
Extremely over priced, petite filet cost me $85 + $16 for mashed potatoes. The place was extremely dead with very little people dining on a Saturday night at 6pm. Looks like the price they’re charging I can understand why. I’ve ate at a lot of very expensive steakhouses in Las Vegas & I’ve never seen or paid $85 cdn or $61 usd for a petite steak ever & for a lot better quality steak. The service by the two waiters we had was great. We originally tried to get a reservation at the Keg but it was booked solid until 9:30 pm. Plus I also ordered a second beer that never showed up & I also put on the reservation that it was my birthday we were celebrating & when we checked at the front the guy asked who’s birthday are we celebrating & I told him mine. That’s it. No happy birthday or was it mentioned again the rest of the night. Never will ever go back there again. Way to expensive for average steak.
No apple juice for kids was disappointing. Never ate at a restaurant that makes you buy the side dishes on top of the price for a steak. This isnt for me and we won't be returning.
Firstly, the bread was AMAZING! Beef was tasteless and dry. I had to add so much pepper and salt to make it taste less like cardboard. With the taxes and fees tacked onto the bill, I believe the value just was not there. Ambiance was unique and lovely, however the steak was awful and I will not return for anything aside from drinks.
Compared to all the Ruth’s Chris Steakhouses I’ve been to, this one by far was the best!!! The food and service was exceptional, but ambiance won me over!!
