This Ruth's Chris location never disappoints. From the greeters, to the bartenders, to the excellent wait staff, this is a class restaurant. Aside from the staff, the food is excellent and served when hot. Highly recommend!!!!
My son and his date enjoyed the evening and the prom thanks!
A great dining experience for our last evening in New Orleans. Was looking forward to a filet after all the cuisine NO has to offer.
Outside of being seated a few minutes later than our reservation time, our dining experience couldn’t have been better. As always with Ruth’s my food was great, the servers were very attentive, and polite, I would definitely recommend this Ruth’s to my family, friends, and people who are looking for an upscale meal in a casual atmosphere.
Horrible Service! Tool forever to get drinks. Appetizers came we hadn’t even ordered entrees yet. Continued to have to Ask to have our water glasses to be filled. The lobster bisque appetizer came out almost when the entrees of steaks came out. Change in waiter 1/4 of the way through dinner. Empty Food plates left on table for Far too long. Had to Wait to order dessert. Ordered a Latte and then was told that the machine was broken. Finally, almost finished with my coffee the dessert came to the table. That’s why a $370 meal ended the waiter with a skimpy $60 tip.
And That was Generous. I’ve eaten at Ruth’s Chris about 20 times in different cities and this is By Far the WORST top to bottom experience I have ever had the Sorry misfortune of enduring. Ruth’s Chris should’ve paid Us for the Lack of service. I will/would caution anybody thinking about having a meal at Ruth’s Chris New Orleans to go to IHOP. You’ll have a better meal and I’m sure Much Better Service.
Good service and food.
We ate there on Easter Sunday and we couldn't get a reservation until 830 pm...downfall they ran out of bread...For the amount we paid for three people, I feel the food could have been better. We often go to Ruth Chris Steakhouse at Mohegan Sun but usually only have appetizers at the bar. I would recommend getting appetizers over paying the higher prices for dinner entrees.
Ruth Chris is my favorite restaurant. I always leave there feeling satisfied and their food is always delicious.
Food was great and prix fixe menu was a pretty good deal. Celebrating Easter and a birthday. This was a great choice.
The food great, especially the lobster, The lobster was soooooo tender.
This food is delicious and the wait staff was great. The only complaint we had was that the restaurant was so cold. The staff said that it was controlled by the hotel. Wear a jacket when you go.
I always have relied on Ruth's for a dependable excellent meal. Service was very slow though and my steak had to be returned because it was well done and just tasted bad. I ordered medium. New steak was more well done. Manager came to check on me while I first cut it and saw it was too well. I just didn't want another at that point. Although they did not charge me for steak, I was just disheartened that the experience was not as good as I was used to. I would return but, sadly, would not get a steak again. Valet parking was just a huge pain - oh how I miss the days of South Broad!
We were a group of 8 people celebrating our friend birthday and had a fabulous time. Thanks to our fabulous server Joseph for making our experience enjoyable by attending to our needs and checking up on us. The food was delicious and everyone was very impressed! We will be back!
Great ambiance, service and excellent steaks.
The Harrah's Ruth's Chris location is by far the worst I have ever experienced. After telling the hostess my mother is disabled, she put us at the farthest table next to the noisy kitchen.
IMHO New Orleans Ruth's Chris is one of the best in the country!
Everything was great
Delicious! We had the Shrimp Cocktail appy. It was really fresh and the cocktail sauce had a perfect amount of horseradish. Had the Heriloom Tomato & Mozzarella Salad. Very tasty with the balsamic. We shared an entree of Barbecue Shrimp. It's our favorite and didn't disappoint!! Yum!
I love the steaks here! The crab stack was good too!
Langston was a great server. The food was superb. I am glad we picked this rstr to celebrate our 1 week of marriage.
steak was a little disapointing. Had a ribeye and there was a lot of gristle. Hard to even cut away. Flavor was great as always with butter and sizzling plate.
It was a very pleasant experience. Joseph always waits on us and he is an excellent waiter. The food is superb and could not be any better. We always go to Ruth Chris for dinner when we are in New Orleans.
We celebrated a birthday, our waiter Joe R. was wonderful!!
We dine here often.
As always, server was respectful and attentive. However the salad and dessert were very slow to table making entree service seem too fast. (This is unusual)
Food taste and quality is exceptional!
Ruth’ s classic pre-fix menu is a great value! This is our favorite restaurant for steaks!
It was FANTASTIC as always!! Crab cakes are full of jumbo lumb meat and my fillet was cooked perfectly not to mention our waitor was AMAZING....Hands down one of my favorite places to eat!! We were running 15 mins late due to a Parade downtown I called to tell we were on our way and the sweet hostess told us not to worry our reservation would still be available when we arrived😁
Excellent service and food will return again would recommend
We were put at a table by the bar that was so loud waiter had to literally yell at us and we could not even hold a conversation. If it weren't for how good the food is I would rate overall experience as a 1. It was not a pleasant evening.
Consistently good service, food, wine list...need I say more?
Loved our experience and meal here! We went two nights in a row it was so great!
We ordered the steak, a few sides and the tomato mozzarella salad is amazing!
Our server was friendly and fun!
The atmosphere was beautiful and romantic or totally briskness dinner appropriate.
My only complaint is the restaurant was freezing cold so ladies bring a sweater or jacket. (I wore a blazer and pants and still froze).
We loved the experience and we look forward to trying other locations.
I’m really sorry this dinner experience, I was with a group of 6 people + another group of 6. I’ve asked to put us together and the manager set up a table outside even if the temperature was cold . I ask for a change but the answer was NO if you feel cold you can stay closer ... NO WAY! How can I accept this answer? I’m sorry because our waitress was really nice and she did her job in a really professional way but the manager was not adapt to his role . The meat was excellent and it was a pity not to be able to enjoy the dinner cause of the cold outside
Went for my son's birthday, his choice. The food is way overpriced. The service was slow and a drink got spilled on my husband. The only bonus were the apps were free and drinks due to the misfortunate service. Our bill was still over $400 despite the bill be adjusted.
It's was good as all Ruth Crist are, but as it got busier the less we saw of the staff, which is unusal for Ruth Crist they normally are always very attentive.
Reservation was at 8:15 and seated at 8:40. Our server was great...however she spilled a martini on his $600 sweater. We were unbothered and accepted the apology, because she was so sweet, attentive and it was an accident. The manager came quickly. We then waited 45 minutes between salads and entrees. My steak was not cooked to order and I didn’t feel like sending it back at that point. I was ready to end the evening. We were extremely disappointed when the bill came and it included the charge for the drink. Something should have been comped especially since we left with a dry cleaning bill in the making. My husband is forgiving and a gentleman. He still tipped $40 (25%) and we left without incident. Overall, not the best experience. We usually frequent the Metairie location and Morton’s for steak. I think we will stick with the less busy sites for faster/on time seating and food preparation turnaround time. Thank you
The wait staff was excellent. The food was delicious. We had a wonderful dinner.
Awesome place for dinner. Excellent atmosphere
Great food and great service!!!!!
Ruth steaks are always best around. Hands down. Been to this location before and food did not disappoint. Second Ruth's I have been to in 2 months that changed the Lyonaise Potatoes to wedges. Not fond of new recipe. The usual were perfect. Seared Tuna and Calamari are a must before the steak.
Hostess need a lesson in etiquette. Arrived at 6:10 with Reservations for 6:15 party of 4, she sat a party of 5 with a 6:30 reservation before me and said my wait was 10 min. When asked why she sat them before us she claimed it was a larger party. It was one more than us with a later reservation time. Did not let that ruin my evening.
Ruth's is always on my list of eats every large town I go to. Do not pass it up.
My love had a wonderful time for his birthday ! My first experience at Ruth Chris was the best I would go over and over if possible ! The food was great !!!!! Amazing !!!!!!!!
We were seated out on the patio per our special request. Our table was decorated in Happy Birthday confetti which was very sweet and a thoughtful touch. On the website and on the sign on the way in to the restaurant, I noticed "proper attire required" and that the attire was business casual. When we were seated outdoors, we were seated directly next to a large group of rowdy people in shorts and t-shirts. (I get it....it's downtown and there are tourists who are staying in the hotel so you cut them a break.) What bothered me the most was that some of them were smoking. I know indoor smoking is banned in restaurants and I kind of thought that within 20 feet of a building's entrance (especially a restaurant) it was too, but I was sorely mistaken. We had to breathe in cigarette smoke all night during our dining experience. The $99 steak (porterhouse for 2) and the filet we ordered were not seasoned at all. They were cooked perfectly, but had absolutely no taste. In my opinion, there's no point in a steak that melts in your mouth if it has no flavor. Being a finer dining restaurant, no salt or pepper was provided on the table. The only redeeming thing about the experience was our service. I believe our waitress was named Susan. She was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt and courteous. I've heard bad things about this location before, but I wanted to give it a chance and try it myself first hand. Next time I'll just go to the Metairie location because I've always loved Ruth's Chris, and this one bad experience won't stop me from being a fan.
