Awesome experience as always!
My go to for any special occasion. Great service as usual.
NFC Championship pre-game celebrations. The day did not end as planned...
The front staff and the wait staff that attended to us were exceptional. We will definitely be back in the near future.
As always, the food was great and the service matched! We eat here often and will continue!
Nice dinner with my wife. Our waiter went out of his way to accommodate our seating request. Service and food were both excellent.
Excellent service by wait staff.
My food was cold and my entree was wrong. Wasn’t worth the $231.
Ruth’s Chris is my all-time classic favorite restaurant, I’ve been going to Ruth’s Chris back when it was on Broad Street in New Orleans. Love it for any occasion any holiday or season. Never can get tired of the steaks and foods at Ruth’s Chris. The service is always top notch.
Dinner with a friend
Had dinner after Saints win over the Eagles!
Seated me on time of reservation and everyone was helpful and pleasant to serve us!!!
Can’t wait to return on our next visit to Nola!
After 30 minutes past my reservation time, I finally asked the hostess how far out we were from being seated. After another 20 minutes she said she could seat me at a high top in the crowded and noisy bar area. That would be the best she could do at that time. I expected alot more out of a place like Ruth’s.
It was so loud i couldn’t hear myself think. It took way to long to get a drink or get water refilled at table.. definitely not on their A game
The food on this visit was probably the best we've had at Ruth's Chris ever. The steaks were cooked perfectly. Drinks were excellent. The sweet potato souffle was heavenly. Creamed Spinach was perfect. The butternut squash soup was delicious too. The atmosphere was festive, too, which was perfect for the occasion. This was a Saints game day playoff day, and everyone in the restaurant were fans, which suited us perfectly, as fellow Saints fans!
However, the dessert we ordered, banana cream pie, wasn't available with the crust, as usual, and there was a delay in serving dessert to our table of 4, as this was a problem, that our servers evidently didn't know about. Anyway, the dessert was ok. There had been another problem with another selection, as well. I would say that at a restaurant such as this, the servers should've been informed about shortages in items on the menu. And I'm sure they knew it would be a very busy Sunday with the game.
As such, I'd still go again. We eat here at least once a year, and very much enjoyed lunch yesterday. The ambiance was perfect, and the food was exceptional!
Saints Playoff game.
The food was delicious but we were seated in a booth in the bar and could barely hear each other .
Last two times i have been here, ordered the 12pz filet and it was not a good cut, barely an inch thick, overcooked...
We love going to this Ruth Chris when we visit New Orleans. Our dinner was perfectly prepared, as always. The service is extraordinary there, and delightful! Nick and Connie are two of the best! Can’t wait to go back!
All of the servers were so accommodating with us and our one year old. Food was brought out super fast, food was delicious as always.
Awesome first experience!
Joseph J and Akil were wonderful servers. The steak, sides, champagne, and blueberry cheesecake were exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We eat at Ruth’s all the time but this was not good. We had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. My filet was full of fat throughout. I never complain at a restaurant, but it was inedible. The waiter quickly got another one for me, but it was also full of fat and cooked well done (I ordered medium). I cut a few bites and there was a piece of plastic inside. I was too embarrassed to complain again so i took it to go. It was very disappointing. The potatoes were also bland. I will likely not go back to the downtown location again.
Great meal and service!!
Service was untypical and a little off. Salads took a very long time to come out and then Steaks brought out while we were still eating salads.
Our 1st ever dining experience with them where the service was horrible! We sat for 45 minutes before I stopped a manager and ask about our salad and appetizer.
Wonderful place. Already planning on going to the site in Chicago for son’s birthday
Fantastic as always! Bone in file is my go to steak. With Austin Gratin potatoes and cream spinach
The food is always good at RC, but this one was by far the best. Beautiful restaurant, great service, outstanding food.
Langston was great! Excellent service!
Good food. Nice 3lb lobster!
BBQ shrimp appetizer made both myself and my boyfriend sick
We started our New Year’s Eve celebration with dinner. Ashleigh our server was great and our meal was perfect.
The food was fabulous
The hostess, not so much.
Annual New Year dinner
We had to wait about 30 min past our reservation. The women’s restroom needed attention. The steak was heavily seasoned and not anything special. Crab cakes were tasty. Mashed potatoes were cold because the restaurant was quite cool.
Had booked the day before for 8pm. Got there early to find the place in pandemonium with the maître D unable to manage the seating. But management gave us the wine because of the wait which was very nice of them. Great dinner in NOLA in the end
We love Ruth’s Chris and it has been a staple of our family for years at home and when traveling. However, this experience may change it all.
The host staff was dishonest and disrespectful. They consistently told patrons that it would be <15 min. We were told this 4 times and were seated almost 1 hour after our reservation time. When we walked through the restaurant to our table, over 1/2 of the tables were unoccupied on Dec 30 in New Orleans. Many of the tables had dirty dishware in them. No one was cleaning the tables.
When we were finally seated, it took >45 min to get bread to the table. The steaks took longer. After we finished, the waitstaff didn’t even ask about dessert until we asked. The they brought out the wrong dessert wine. The dessert itself was great but took 42 min to come out after ordering.
Many people had similar experiences this day. If this does not correct itself, the restaurant will not survive despite being in the town in which it originated.
Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is a tried and true favorite. Our reservation got screwed up (my default is 2 and we were 3. I changed it but it reverted to 2). Instead of waiting an hour for a table, we asked to be seated outside, this the low ambience score. It was quieter than inside but no tablecloths, everything was damp and the iron chairs were very uncomfortable. Food was good as usual. Our waiter, Jimmy did a great job, checked on us often even though the kitchen was slow, we enjoyed people watching.
A reservation was made 2 weeks in advance for 12/30/18 @ 6:45. We checked in at 6:00 p.m. We checked the hostess stand 3 times, but were not seated until 8:30 p.m. We have come to this restaurant for my birthday for the last 5 years. We will no longer dine here.
Service was terrible. Poor management Extremely dissatisfying experience. We have dined at other locations and never expected to receive such terrible and unprofessional service.
