Ruth's Chris Steak House - N. Palm Beach Ratings and Reviews
Bill was our server and did an excellent job of providing us with selections and what accompaniment we should have with our steaks that we chose. He also gave us the special of a 5 ounce lobster tail which was a great addition to the strams. Absolutely love the brussels sprouts! For our anniversary, he gave us a complimentary dessert that was the delicous and a perfect ending!
Went to the restaurant the other evening with my wife for dinner but met friends there, and we joined them. Ordered an 11oz filet, with creamed spinach, and the couscous. This was the first time that I had to trim a fat layer from my filet. The creamed spinach was soupy, and the couscous was bland. The bread pudding was unusual. no the typical bread pudding. Had a cheese cake like top and did not taste like the bread pudding of old. Took it home and threw it out.
WE had a really nice meal at Ruth Chris ‘s New Year’s Eve. I had a delicious salad, I can’t remember the name but it had pecans and goat cheese in it. Then I had the petite filet , which was delicious. For sides we had the skinny French fries and creamed spinach. Everything was first rate.
We are on vacation in North Palm Florida and made a reservation for my boyfriends birthday at 6:45pm. Upon arriving we were told there was a minor wait as there was another reservation for 6:45. I told them not a problem and we would wait at the bar. We were never seated until 7:30. During that time, no one came over to apologize for the wait, the service was slow, and our dinner was served with the appetizers. Also the waiter upon taking our food order asked if we wanted another drink, we ordered two more wines, which came another 20 minutes later.. The manager walked around and came to our table at the end of the meal asking how everything was and at that point it was so crowded and loud, we just said fine thank you.
Our dining experience was 5 star soon as we walked in the door. The service was timely yet not over done. The chopped salad was a perfect opener..sharing it was a great option. The filets that we had were cooked to perfection..delicious! Finished dinner sharing a cream brûlée that was heavenly. Highly recommend for that special dining experience.
We dined at Ruth's Chris on Christmas Day. The restaurant was full, but the noise level was manageable. I ordered the King Salmon from the "Chef's Suggestions" portion of the menu and it was the best salmon I've ever had! It was super-fresh, with a delicious buttery-like texture and flavor. It was served over sautéed spinach. I also ordered a side dish of Brussels sprouts, as I always do at Ruth's, as no one prepares them better! My companion had his usual --- a house salad and a filet mignon and pronounced them both very good (as usual).
First time at this location-always a good experience. We went for Christmas dinner and the service was impeccable.Bill, our waiter, was excellent. Our ribeye and filet were done to order and were delicious. The sides, garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, were also very good.
A couple of observations- the wine we ordered was not available and we had to pay an upcharge for the next one. It was only $2.00 more a glass, but It was the principle. If you run out of a wine at 3Pm,you ought to be prepared to honor the first choice. When we asked, the server just laughed. also, the dessert on the Ruth's Classic was a cheesecake, which was too hard. It should have been creamier.Overall though, great meal, and we will return.
We have driven past Ruth Chris for ten years and my wife said she would like to go. So for our 34th Anniversary I made a reservation for 8:15 pm - got there at 8:10 - sat at the bar for thirty minutes while we waited for a table - then went to ask when we could be seated - and the hostess casually stated that we will get a table when other people leave! Then we stood part way into the dining room for another 15 minutes waiting for a table. The server was nice and informative - but our meal came out and it was missing half of my wifes order including her favorite (Lobster Mac n Cheese)... when I asked for it the waiter came out and said that no one informed him that they were out of Mac n Cheese (this is one of their signature dishes). My wife waited another 10 minutes for a second glass of wine with dinner - and she was sure it was a different selection than the first glass... It was a long dragged out experience. We decided against dessert. The bill came and it had the Lobster Mac on it...
Order my steak medium. When the waiter came by and ask how steak was cook only cut around outside edge. In the middle steak was well done. I told waiter he told me couldn't do anything about it.. said should of told him when he ask.. needless to say won't be back.
Our server Angie was the best. Steak and seafood cooked to perfection. Far, far above Capitol Grill. Sides were delicious as well. This isn't a value meal, it can be pricey but well worth it. They have specials and other pairings that include sides for a very reasonable price. A la carte side items large enough to share. Consistently excellent.
This is the 4th year that we have gone to Ruth's Chris for Thanksgiving dinner with our daughter and son-in-law and it will be our last. We waited 15 minutes at the table and no wait staff showed up. My husband complained & even then it took another 5 minutes. The waiter took our drink orders and we decided to also put in our dinner orders. We waited 15 minutes and still no drinks. Finally our salad and then main course was served and still no drinks. The drinks finally came somewhat after our dinner was served. We are usually given a little tote bag with extra Thanksgiving food for the next day; this is one of the things that we found delightful about Ruth's Chris. However, we were told they had run out of these bags. All in all, not a good experience for an any restaurant especially an expensive one like this.
