Ruth's Chris Steak House - N. Palm Beach Ratings and Reviews
Celebrated Mother's Day lunch here with a party of 8 plus two babies. Reserved online via Open Table and everything was set. They even called to reconfirm, as I asked for some special seating seating arrangements, which they were able to accommodate us. Ruth's Chris has always been a top choice for us when we want a high quality experience. They have never failed us.
Everyone enjoyed their cuts of meat, cooked to perfection and served on piping hot plates. Excellent sides. First class service for sure, we had a great waiter, James! First time I had tried a Tomahawk 40oz. rib eye, wow, we shared it between four of us!
As always, a very pleasant experience.
Ribeye was perfectly cooked. Salmon was tender and delicious as were the sides of mushrooms, creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Calamari and shrimp appetizers were good. Much too loud in the room for conversation around a 5 top round table. Wait staff didn't get any orders wrong but disappeared for too long too many times. Maybe she had too many covers , but when you drop $500 for dinner, looking for the server several times during the dining experience shouldn't happen.
We arrived for our 4:30pm reservation and found empty parking lot which was lovely...We requested oval booth in sw corner because we found it to be very quiet and relaxing...two couples sat quite comfortable...
We had excellant service and food was wonderful.I would highly recommend Ruth Chris..Our secret is go early and leave very happy..
Normally great over all experience. Great steakhouse, drink prices are reasonable and a relaxing bar atmosphere. Service is great, little cooking issues this time with the food, but corrected quickly. But the bartender did not get the message that banging glasses, abruptly washing mixing containers and communicating loudly to fellow workers is probably not the concept "Ruth" was going for. I had a customer lean over to me and say "I came here to relax". This isn't the first time. We really like the restaurant but the bar atmosphere is so unprofessional and so obvious there is an issue, why it continues, no clue!
Filet was prepared completely wrong. I asked for it to be prepared black and blue and it arrived cooked medium. Lyonnaise potatoes were inedible as were the stuffed mushroom appetizer. The noise level here also bordered on obnoxious. Management never came to check on the table and when I asked for a new filet our server acted as if she was doing me a favor. Last time we were here was about 2 years ago and the food was wonderful. I don't believe we will be returning.
We went on Easter.Food was OK...bread was awful.Wine pour was extremely small.Noise level was high...screaming children in a high end restaurant....Mgmt did't seem to care or address the issue. Our credit card was ran through with another table's bill although our bill was in the billet. Server said he couldn't reverse , but it would come off in a few days. Then charges me the right amount. Easy to charge the customer, but not credit them.
Overall, poor high end restaurant. Very average decor, good food and lousy service.
From the moment we arrived everyone was friendly and was considerate of our reservation time, unlike some restaurants , where you make a reservation and you still have to wait. The food was excellent, pricey but excellent. The waitress was very attentive , she offered to take pictures of us since we were celebrating our anniversary. The complimentary dessert was a big plus. Thank you all for an enjoyable evening.
Our party of 6 was gracously welcomed and expected and there was birthday confetti on our table. The service was a little slow, but the food was delicious. The only disappointment was the level of noise. Perhaps our round table should have been smaller. It would have accommodated 8. Although not ordered, a birthday dessert with a candle was presented to the birthday "boy". This was a very nice touch even though our group of six do not usually eat dessert
Afraid that we are joining a growing list of disappointed diners at Ruths Chris. And this is the first time we would not recommend Ruths to a friend. Arrived Thursday at 5 for our reservation and already the bar was overflowing, so we accepted a table in the dining room, therefore full price menu. Diners poured in, service slowed accordingly, noise level rose. As always, outstanding Caesar salad. Eventually our petite fillets were served (with a cone of tepid skinny fries). My fillet looked nothing like Ruths glorified pictures, was most difficult to cut and was "gamey" flavored. Positively NOT worth $41 for an 8-ounce fillet. Meanwhile, not Ruths fault, a woman seated near by was saturated with her fragrance - my throat burned and my eyes watered - which added nothing to our disappointing experience.
The food as always was delicious! I dined with a friend I hadn't seen in several years and had requested a quiet table to facilitate our catching up with each other's lives. Not only did we have a great table, but we weren't rushed at all as we kept deferring our order because we had not yet looked at the menu!
Pro: Excellent very professional server.
Con: Filet mignons ok, but not much flavor because not much browned crust on outside. Our own steaks on our home Weber grill are much better (and God knows they're cheaper!). The Ruth's filets looked as though the grill was not hot enough. We will not return (unless a stock brokerage offers a lecture and free dinner there).
I wish I could give a higher rating. My family had been coming to this location for years when I was a child. After returning as an adult, now taking my own father to dinner there, everything was fine with the exception of the hostess.
Maybe if the hostess is a bit nicer next time and makes it a little more clear as how to obtain a table in the bar area to conduct business while they are going
