Ruth's Chris Steak House - Myrtle Beach Ratings and Reviews
My son and I stopped in for the Swizzle and Sizzle in the bar area from 4-6:30. Fun! Drinks were fairly priced and the menu had a nice variety. I prefer small plates and my son is gluten-free. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Can’t wait to go back with friends. Thank you!
After very enjoyable experiences at other Ruth's Chris locations, we were disappointed at this one.
My wife's med/well filet mignon was a little under done and my med/rare RibEye was a little overdone. Side dishes were only warm.
We don't like to complain at the restaurant because often it's made up for with free stuff, desert etc. That is not the point. At an establishment with this reputation and price, we expect everything to be done right the first time. No second chances.
Our server Erin was responsive and efficient.
I don't think we will be back. Our next fancy meal will be at Frank's in Pawley's island.
Not Delighted! This was a family get together from 3 states for Thanksgiving. We were 6 adults and a 10 yr old boy. 2 of the four adult entrees (shrimp and grits) had to be sent back as they were cold. I ordered the Shea Estates Pinot Noir ($25.00 p/glass) and it was either corked or old so I sat for 10 minutes as my 12 oz filet cooled and they opened a new bottle. The new glass was fine but it turns out the filet was about 20 % gristle. Not wanting to wait again I ate it anyway. What was edible was excellent but was not thrilled to pay $45.00 for such a poor cut. My sons mini filets were (2 medallions) not consistent either, one being med rare and one was well done. He ended the night with a bad stomach ache but it could have been too much cheesecake lol.
My wife's wine glass was poured about an inch lower that the other three and that was a $19 glass. The waitress was pleasant but as a former bartender while in college, it would have been a nice gesture to comp my sons cheesecake or at least offer to adjust the bill somehow. We do not complain during family dinners, rather choose to enjoy each other and hope the restaurant will do its part. While the server did send the manager over to acknowledge the issues, our tact apparently did not warrant any further attention. The check was over $400.00 and if I could rate the value (0) stars, I would. One of my favorite saying is "you get what you pay for" however, in this case it was not even close to being accurate. This was NOT my first time to a Ruths Chris steakhouse but it will very likely be a while before I return.
My wife and I were actually disappointed this trip. We came for Thanksgiving and while pretty much everything was very good, the lobster mac'n cheese was cold when brought to our table. Our sever apologized and had it heated up, but still like was extraordinarily disappointing. It's obvious that it was either old or had been made well in advance and then microwaved for service.
I've been to Ruth's Chris several dozens of times and I think this is probably my first bad side and I've never had a bad steak, so I guess I was due.
When I made my reservation I had asked for a romantic corner table as it was just my husband and I celebrating Thanksgiving. We were sat next to a table of 20 that turned over during our meal. Certainly not the quiet corner table....the filet and seafood were okay but our potatoes were cold....the cheesecake was a circle of crumbs with a small amount of filling. If we return, it will only be for happy hour.....
Went for Thanksgiving Dinner. Very nice prix fixe turkey dinner offering. Nice size serving of turkey. Stuffing was moist and well seasoned. I don't typically like cranberry sauce but their cranberry sauce was delicious. Waitress was attentive and although they were very busy we were not rushed. We will definitely consider for a future Thanksgiving meal.
I took my Mom to Ruth’s Chris for the first time (for Thanksgiving) and she loved it! We had the best service, food, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I have been several times and have always been pleased; however, this visit was extra special as my Mom truly enjoyed herself. Thank you to Saul and the young man who helped him make our Thanksgiving Day amazing!
Our wonderful dinner notched up to exceptional because of our waiter Chuck. Professional and unobtrusive, yet right there when needed. Steak and lobster tail were delicious and salad and dessert just as good. We will most certainly be back the next time we're in Myrtle Beach.
We had a great time. Party of 6 and we sat very comfortably. In fact they looked up where we sat last time and put us there. Our server David (aka Elvis) was excellent. He made the meal even more enjoyable. The Iced Tea Vodka was so good. I started with the tomato and mozzarella salad that was delicious. They use kumato tomatoes with hearty chunks of cheese and balsamic reduction. Of course everyone got steak with butter (extra butter). Always tasty. We opted for several potato dishes. How can you not. You have to have one of everything. Sweet Potato Casserole, Potato A'gratin, Lyonnaise plus we got the corn as well as the sprouts. We finished with several desserts. I love the fruit and cream (it's like a yummy vanilla cake batter). We also got the french press coffee which I was pleased about because some Ruth's Chris don't have it anymore. We had a great visit.
My son treated me to your restaurant for dinner for my 70th birthday. I very much enjoyed the view & the atmosphere of the room. The waitress was delightful and my meal was delicious. We will definitely be scheduling a night out at your Pittsburgh restaurant over the holiday seasons.
First time to Ruth Chris. Very nice and comfortable atmosphere. The staff at the hostess station were friendly. The server very professional. The steaks were excellent but we weren't overly impressed with the vegetables. The creamed spinach tasted like it came out of a box and the brussel sprouts were tasty but a little undone. We didn't complain because it was late and we were hungry. Overall, we enjoyed our time there.
It was storming outside the night we were there, so we didn't get a chance to enjoy the outdoor view. Maybe next time!
We've eaten at Ruth's Chris all over the US and in Cancun. This one was mediocre where we have been spoiled with excellent at other Ruth's Chris.
Both Filet Mignon had large chunks of fat/gristle.
The potatoes were barely warm and the asparagus was cold.
On the good side, the steak tasted great and was cooked perfectly.
My friends from Kansas City and I dined at Ruths Chris Steak House in Myrtle Beach the evening of October 19, 2017. It was Great. The steaks were great and the Steak/Seafood Special was fantastic. The servers working as a team were great. They never let our drinks get empty and they were as courteous as they could be. We ended our meal with the berries and cream for dessert. It was a great choice. The overall experience was exceptional. It was truly a Five Star meal and experience. Thank you Ruths Chris for a great time and an exceptional meal.
My husband and I visited Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse recently during a beach getaway. The service was excellent from the host to our waiter. We ate the ribeye and it was delicious. We had roasted brussel sprouts and lobster mac and cheese for sides. They were just ok. We did not care for everything being a la carte. We also felt it was over priced but were willing to give it a try for the experience. My biggest disappointment was the atmosphere. They have a dress code in place so we were dressed up. There were other guest there with shorts and jeans. I was excited about having a romantic dinner with my husband. It was brightly lit and the tables were so close together at times I couldn’t hear our conversation because of the noise from the other tables.
We have been to other Ruth Chris's restaurants previously. This one was especially memorable in that the décor was superb as was the food. It is a bit pricy but well worth it. The prix fixe menu was excellent. The full menu offered a great choice of entrees as well as appetizers.
Spend the money, this Ruth Chris is worth the price of admission.
