We came here tonight to celebrate my son's 25th birthday. The steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster mac and cheese? Wow! A huge table sized serving of bubbly, creamy deliciousness! The lobster bisque was fabulous as well. The service was great. They decorated the table with Birthday confetti and served a complimentary dessert with a candle. It was a great evening.
Ambiance is great as always. Todays visit we had a very kind and sweet server, however, she was very slow for the entire meal (almost 2 hours for lunch). It was not busy at all, we could not figure out why everything was so slow. I had the filet medium rare and felt it was a little dry considering how i eat my steaks. The lobster bisque seemed like someone cooked the roux too long and slightly burned it (weve had it before and it wasnt like that, who knows maybe its supoosed to be that way). Rest of the meal was fantastic.
Service was excellent; we were not rushed. Food was very good with the exception of a 12-ounce ribeye, which was a little tough and had plenty of gristle. All other dishes were fine. The majority of patrons were very casually dressed: T-shirts and cargo shorts for several male guests.
I have been to this restaurant several times, and the food and service are usually exemplary. Tonight was an "off night" regarding both food and service, but nothing that would prevent me from coming back. Their record of excellent food and service certainly makes up for an occasional subpar performance.
We celebrated my boyfriend's 21st birthday. I would recommend also putting the side of asparagus on a hot plate also because it got cold. His favorite desert is cheesecake so I wanted that brought out for desert. I called to make these arrangements, but the normal birthday desert was still brought out (apple cinnamon something and he hates cinnamon) So, needless to say, we were disappointed. Then, she brought out another birthday desert which was the cheesecake and said "I didn't forget your cheesecake." It was weird, but none of the deserts were on the ticket so fine with me!
