Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operated for the 38 years prior. She changed the name to Ruth's Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are over 140 Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the globe. We look forward to our opening in Marina Del Rey, CA.

This was our first time there. We were pleasantly surprised. There's a nice ambiance. The restaurant was elegant and nicely decorated. The server was very friendly and explained the menu. We were celebrating my son's graduation. Only 2 out of 4 of us had ordered desserts. We were surprised when all of us received a dessert. My son's plate had "Congrats" written on it with chocolate. Then found that the 2 extra desserts were not charged on the bill. Food was excellent!

Cocktails took forever to arrive in the end arrived after appetizers and wine so too late especially as steaks arrived before appetizers were finished. So long wait, nearly 1 hour after we arrived before getting anything but bread and water then everything came a once. When we ordered we were informed t-bone was not available so had to make another choice quickly, should have been informed about availability when we were given the menus Wife steak was also not cooked enough, was towards rare rather than medium. Not the sort of service expected from a premium steak house. Been to other Ruth's Chris with excellent service.

Service was great, drinks were great, ambience was great. Unfortunately, the food was just good. Our initial food was overcooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen. The replacement steaks were good, not great. The lobster tail was over cooked even the second time, just not as thrashed as it was the first time. The crabcakes were good, not great. The cream spinach was delicious and the cheesecake was delicious. My companion enjoyed his meal better than I did, but he had a larger steak, so that when it was prepared the second time, it was more to his liking. I had a small filet which was still not as requested, it was slightly overcooked, but not bad. The same went from my lobster tail: slightly overcooked, but not bad on the second go round. My fond memories of this place, as well as my history with the restaurant will keep me coming back. It is worth giving them another chance.

Sat on the patio with my mom and my sisters for a late Mother’s Day dinner. The ambiance was beautiful. It was a cold night but the heaters and the fireplace kept us plenty warm. We got the petite filet, sea bass, and stuffed chicken. None of the food was anything less than phenomenal. Our server Dustin was on top of everything we needed. None of his suggestions disappointed. Everything was exactly how he explained it to be and he was professional and sweet start to finish. We had a fabulous evening and will definitely be back again.

Food was good, not great for the price. I was there for the 1st time 5 years ago. Was amazed how good the steak was. This most recent visit, my steak wasn't nearly as good…was disappointed. Wife’s shrimp was really good along with my wedge salad with blue cheese dressing.

Our server, Evan was very attentive. He forgot to fill the appropriate order for my wife who ordered the 6 ounce fillet and shrimp and no shrimp arrived. We did not make a fuss about it. We felt that the ambience was slightly messy as dishes and platters were not removed from the adjacent tables.

My lobster tail was way over cooked and the presentation was a little sloppy but my steak was cooked to perfection. I also had the crab cakes which were FIRE but over all dinner was good. But they need to do better on the lobster tails oh and the butter it was just butter it didn’t taste like drawn butter.

What a Mother's Day brunch! Exceptional! We had our fav waiter, Gabe, that does everything to please you, and it feels like he becomes apart of your family.
