Great meal, a little mix up with the food but waiter fixed the issue and brought the correct food in a timely manner. Adam was an excellent server and management was very professional which you would expect and a high end restaurant.

Anniversary dinner and staff made us feel special

We had a 8:00 pm reservation and wasn’t seated till 8:50. They had called during the week and the day of to make sure we were keeping our reservation.

Service was slow and wasn’t checked on to see how our food was. Assistant waiter was good, but main waiter seemed to always be somewhere else even when taking our order. We have been there a few times and service was always excellent. This time was just off

We had open table reservations and had to wait 30/35 minutes to be seated. We went to watch the fireworks. They did not have the music piped outside. Our server said they had not done this for 5 years. Excuse me, I was there last year and they did indeed broadcast the Thunder music outside. Despite no music, the food was very mediocre. Will not return.

Ruth's Chris has a reputation of being classy. Well the Louisville restaurant delivers. We have been here a ton of times and the atmosphere, service and food are always world class. Whether you are on a date, meeting family, celebrating a birthday or getting engaged, the staff at Louisville Ruth's Chris makes you feel like you are the only people there from the moment you step off the elevator. Yes I said elevator, see the Louisville Ruth's is atop the Kaden towers with a balcony you can walk around on and see different parts of the city.

My wife ordered a ribeye steak medium well. She had finished almost half of the steak and the rest was closer to well done. I ordered the 11 oz filet medium. Although the inside appeared to be mostly medium, the edges were closer to well done and the exterior of portions of the filet was hard making it difficult to cut. I could actually tap on the top and it was like it was burned. We really didn’t say anything because we had mostly finished eating the steaks. I have been to Ruth Chris on other occasions and this was not the experience nor presentation that I remember. From the pics below they actually just looked like big hunks of meat. This was not what I expected for the cost of the meal.

John Michael was our server. We never had to ask for anything, as he was there before we could. We had a person with a peanut allergy with us, and the restaurant was great at accommodating him. Filet was seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. We will be back. Great restaurant.

Never disappoints. Great all around.

Our meal was amazing. Started off with the stuffed mushrooms and then my husband had the 11oz filet with the bleu cheese crusting. It was cooked perfectly and asparagus was delicious. I had the crab cakes, which were very good. Our server, Chelsea had a great personality and was very attentive. Thanks to the awesome assistants, our water was always full and table always clear. One even wished us happy anniversary during one of his table visits. The best part of the night was the complimentary dessert (creme brulee....amazing!) and photo in celebration of our anniversary. They helped make an already special night even better.

We were treating ministry friends from Romania visiting Kentucky for their first time. The Louisville location is highly recommended for it's ambience & views from the 16th floor. The food was typical to Ruth's Chris standards from start to finish. We made last minute reservations & were pleased with the seating, hostess team & Mariah our server!

This place has the service and food that only others wish they had. By far better than Jeff Ruby's or Eddie Merlots

Everything was wonderful! We celebrated my husbands birthday. The food was delicious and service was exceptional. We have been here many times and will continue to go back!

We made reservations for 7:45. When we arrived, the hostess stated they were running behind, which was fine. We went into the bar for a drink. We had been watching the hostesses walk through the bar and get parties once their table was ready. At 8:30, we inquired about our table, and the hostess stated they thought we left as they sent us a text that our table was ready and had given our table away? What???? No one ever came into the bar to look for us nor did they ever mention we would receive a text when our table was ready. Very poor way to handle reservations and seating. Once we were finally seated at 8:45, our dinner was very nice.

Good food. Great steak. Great atmosphere. Make sure you have a reservation!! Wait staff was attentive and on the spot when we needed anything. The most impressive thing was the host staff. They were swamped but everyone was friendly and did what they could to make people comfortable while they waited.

Great view of Louisville on top of a Frank L. Wright designs. Great food and great service overall. Expensive evening with wines and meals but worth it all the way.

There were two large parties and our waiter and his assistant didn’t give us the service that we deserve and they admitted that the parties were so large but we feel that’s unacceptable food is great atmosphere is lovely but our service was poor Easter Sunday

The food is the best. We had a reservation for 12pm when they opened and was the second guess too arrive. When we arrived after checking in and waiting to be sitted, five guess were sitted before we were. We were given a poor reason for why. ("Your party was not all here". But we were). They seated a party of 9 with 4 people there. Then it took over an hour to get or food. We watched people who were seated after use (6 tables) be served. Even when the manager told us we would be next other were served ahead of us. Because of the Easter holiday we accepted the poor service. The waitress was great the food was delicious. Maybe next time.

It was our anniversary which I indicated on the reservation and during the call confirmation, yet it wasn’t acknowledged in any way. Why ask if it’s a special occasion if there won’t be any sort of mention? Plus, because it wasn’t very busy yet, the non-busy servers loitered near our table as we were seated close to the kitchen entrance. In addition, server tried 3 times to remove our plates with which we were not yet finished. It was not relaxing and for $200, a relaxing dinner is imperative.

We had a reservation at 715pm, showed up at 7:10pm, we’re told they were running a little behind, waited until 8pm still not seated. Finally asked if we could sit in the bar and were seated at 8:10pm in the bar, our original table still not ready, and told there were still 4 tables in front of us. Never had something like this happen with a reservation before. Strange.

We had a 7 pm reservation -- arrived 10-15 minutes early thinking we could probably go ahead and be seated, but a table wasn't ready, no problem, our reservation wasn't until 7 pm -- however, I assumed we would be seated at 7 pm or very shortly thereafter -- I was wrong, my family stood in lobby until 7:42 before we were seated -- so, with arriving a few minutes early combined with a 42 MINUTE WAIT after our reservation time -- almost an hour of waiting was the start to ruining the evening! It was followed up by mediocre service (slow to come to table, unable to even keep drinks refilled)and a filet with chunks of fat. Absurd wait, marginal service and comparatively inferior food quality -- no reason to go back. I can get better treatment, service and food anywhere. BTW, not so much as even a "Sorry" from the manager -- Manager, Just in case you have no idea what to do: When a party is seated 42 minutes after their reservation time, you should, at the very least, go to the table and apologize while offering complimentary appetizers, a round of drinks or desserts.

We have celebrated our anniversary at Ruth's Chris for two years now and it has been perfect. Christopher is an awesome server and never disappoints!

The restaurant is top notch. Highly recommend if you like quality steak.

Thomas was an amazing server. Food was delicious, but didn't match the price. Our first experience there, and we were seated at one of three tables in the bar. That lessened the intimacy of our visit, as it was a high traffic area and the TVs were on.

Was great got seated after people that came after us brought to their attention And they missed our turn apologized and got if fixed right away. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Steak was one of the best I’ve ever had . Had been to another high end steakhouse in town (rivue) and Ruth Chris blew them out the water. Will go back again

Unfortunately this restaurant wasn’t what I hadn’t hoped it would be. Our medium rare steaks were over cooked to medium well and the au gratin potatoes didn’t have any flavor. Highly disappointed and won’t return
