We showed up five minutes early for a 7:45 pm reservation, and were told to wait in the bar, where no seats were available. Thirty-five minutes later, we asked how much longer before our table was ready, and we were told that there were six people in front of us, and it would be at least 30 more minutes. After conferring with our guests, we told Ruth’s Chris that we were leaving. They didn’t seem very apologetic. Something is seriously wrong with their reservations system if this can happen.
Reservation was made a month in advance, we were sat almost an hour after our 7:15pm reservation. This meant that the kids in our party were hungry and going nuts, which made for an unpleasant evening. No action was taken to apologize, like an appetizer or discount of some sort. Lastly my Father in law spent a good 15 minutes trying to flag down someone with our check so we could get our rowdy kids out of there, the table had been pre-bussed already, no one asked about desert which at that point was fine because we just wanted to leave.
We had a wonderful anniversary celebration with incredible service from Frankie --- he is above 5 star!!! The filet was perfect, the ambiance warm and romantic, .....and Frankie attended to every detail to make the evening memorable! Our experiences at Ruth's Chris Steak House are always exceptional!
We always love Ruth's Chris. Everything was prepared perfectly. The appetizers, entrees and deserts are always spot on. My Ribeye was very very good but not the best I've ever had but RC is still my favorite steak restaurant because they get all the details right.
Service was great, food not so much. Lobster bisque was not hot enough, brussel sprouts were hard and bland, 1 steak ordered medium was barely medium rare. I've been to this location dozens of times, consider it a safe pick and my family loves it. The last 2 visits have been very disappointing. Not sure what's going on but hope they get back to the standard I've come to expect.
I took my husband yesterday for his birthday. He has been to several other Ruth's Chris locations, but this was my first experience at the restaurant. We were sorely disappointed. The prices have skyrocketed since my husband was last there a few years ago, but at least they did have a "classic meal" option that was affordable. The service was average. For what we paid, and compared to other restaurants that we have frequented that are comparable, we expected much better service. The food was good, but the steaks were not a choice cut of meat as one would expect for the price. My water glass was continually empty although the waiter's assistant was in the room with us the whole time and was looking for such things. We had to wait on our waiter and his assistant to clear two empty tables before clearing ours so we could begin our next course. Mind you, there were plenty of other empty tables in the restaurant and no one was waiting to be seated. Although we had a good time overall, it was only average. We expected much more for the restaurant name and the price. Other waiters were taking pictures of patrons, and my husband said they were presented with a picture in a frame before they left...as they do in other RC franchises. My review of only 2 stars is based on everything combined. Any one thing would have been easily overlooked...but everything together made an above-average expectation very sub-par and quite the letdown. We won't be back. Out of all the restaurants in the country that we have visited, Volare Italian Restaurant in Louisville had the absolute best service, hands down. We will be happy to skip mediocre Ruth's Chris Louisville in favor of a place who knows how to go above and beyond for its customers.
We sat for 25 minutes before our waiter came to the table, was extremely apologetic and I thought everything was going to be good but it took another 25 minutes for our food to come. I had the New York strip and my Girlfriend the petite filet we both ordered medium temperatures but to only be let down once more for her filet was rare, and my strip medium rare.
