Ruth's Chris Steak House - Louisville Ratings and Reviews
Always a treat and never a disappointment. We were there to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. The table they selected was not ideal. The hostess worked with us and after a :30 minute wait, we were seated in a comfortable booth. Service is always excellent.
I went to Ruth Chris for my one year of engagement anniversary, we came here the night we got engaged so this is a great new tradition for us. The personal touches for celebrating our anniversary was great. The food was so delicious and worth every penny. Our waiter told us that we could go to the balcony and check out the views at anytime during the meal and how to get outside, which was a great suggestion! I had the barbecued shrimp entree and my fiancé had the bone in filet. Everything was wonderful! We will be coming here for every anniversary and hopefully to enjoy their bar happy hour menu soon as well!
We have previously had impeccable meals at Ruth's Chris. This was the first time we ever had a complaint about the food. The 8 oz. rib eye was surprisingly tasteless, with an unappealing texture. Our server immediately contacted the manager, who told us that he was less than satisfied with the quality of the 8 oz. rib eyes provided by his supplier (which begs the question as to why they were offered). He immediately replaced the steak with a 12 oz cut which was up to the previous quality we had experienced at the restaurant, and we were not charged for either steak. The quality of the service went a long way to make up for the disappointment, and the overall dining experience was very enjoyable. The drinks were well crafted and generous, the seafood entrée was well-executed, and the dessert, which was complementary as a birthday treat, was off the regular menu rather than being a "special" lesser quality as provided by some restaurants. We will certainly return.
We arrived 10 minutes early and were seated within 5 minutes. The receptionist was exceptionally pleasant. Our waiter (Nathan) was young, although he was very knowledgeable about the menu options and was very attentive to our needs. We were there for my wife's birthday. Nathan gave us all the special attention a birthday deserved. Our meal was excellent and presented as Ruth Chris expects. We will continue to use Ruth Chris as our go to special event restaurant.
The entire Ruth’s Chris staff was as attentive as ever, and the food was delicious. My son was celebrating his third dating anniversary with his girlfriend. When the two of them showed up, she was presented with a rose. They were also treated with a complimentary dessert to celebrate their special evening. We have been and will continue to be raving customers.
The evening started on a bad note. Our reservations were for 9:45 but we were not seated until 10:45. However, it was NYE, but nevertheless I could expect a 15 minute delay, but one hour delay???
Once we were seated, we were given a free appetizer and also received a free dessert. In addition, we were also treated to a champagne toast at midnight!
This was our first visit to this restaurant for New Year's Eve. Our server was exceptionally polite and skilled. The food was simply amazing. The ambiance was a little too energetic, but it being a holiday, it was understandable. However, the wait past our reservation time was a little too long.
We have been customers of this restaurant for sometime and have several years now attended on our anniversary we were celebrating our 36th and were very disappointed in a couple of things in this visit
First the steaks we ordered (petite filet) were certainly not up to last visits and the alacarte pricing is getting ridiculous ie; coffee 3.50/per cup and tea 3.25 and we usually get one desert for my wife (berries) no cream but this time it was added to our bill for $9.50
Guess Ruth Cris doesn't want not need our business
I don't mind paying for good food but hate the feeling that I have been fleeced
We frequent the Ruth Chris steakhouse in Louisville, Ky. We have had a great meal the majority of the times we have been there, however this time the food was not as good as normal and the server and helper we had wasn’t that good. When you go to a place of this magnitude you pay top dollar for the quality of the food, it’s taste, and for the service. Both the food and service should be top notch but this visit wasn’t up to par. After pay nearly $300 for a single meal we left kind of blah. We didn’t complain we just sucked it up and figured we write a review and see where this goes. Usually a fine place to have a meal but on occasion they dont get it right and that is not acceptable.
Had a 7:15pm reservation on Christmas Eve 2017. Normally we are seated right away, but they were either overbooked or had several large parties booked at the same time and as a result, the waiting and bar area was standing-room only and very crowded. As they are one of the few high-end dining options open on Christmas Eve in the Louisville area, I understand they tend to be busy, however our table was not ready until 7:45 and we were squeezed against the walls trying to allow people to pass through while we waited. Once seated, the food and service were very good. Not complaints except for the delay being seated and cramped waiting.
