Ruth's Chris Steak House - Lake Mary Ratings and Reviews
The valet is where the wonderful service begins. From the minute we pulled into the entrance to the minute we drove away every single person was so friendly and professional and welcoming. We were seated in a more private room with only a few other diners at other tables. We were immediately greeted and our drinks were brought right away, even our drink from the bar. We dine here often with family so we knew what we wanted to order for dinner and the way to order our side dishes. Natalia (and the other server I'm sorry I don't remember her name) were both very attentive but not invasive. The food was delicious as always. Although one of the desserts was no longer on the menu but we were able to order it and it was made especially for us. Although some people consider the restaurant to be "pricey" it was definitley comparable with other restaurants we dine at and the food and service is well worth it. We could not have asked for a better evening and look forward to our next visit. Thank you to everyone for a very pleasant experience!
Food is alway outstanding. First time I had bone in fillet , best steak I have ever had. They have grill that can attain such high temperature you can get a real Black and Blue steak. My only complaint was we were seated in a back room part of Resteraunt which was not festive AT ALL. Will not do that again.
Our meal was delicious as always. Alexis, Janine and Carlos were our serves and they all did an excellent job. However when I went to the ladies room at the end of the meal it was a disaster. There was paper on the floor and my stall had no toilet tissue. I do not think anyone had checked it recently.
Going to an old stand by on Valentines day is always risky, and this was no exception. The Ruth's Chris level of service is always exceptional, but on a night when the restaurant is packed, and additional seating has been set up in the bar and the private dining room, it suffered. The young ladies at the hostess stand were particularly unprofessional. The Trio of Dipping Sauces suggested by our waiter did not arrive until half way through our meal. To his credit, he removed it from the bill.
We're once-a-week regulars at this Ruth's Chris and we'll continue to enjoy those visits. But I may look for another venue next year for Valentines.
Our service was spectacular and food was exceptional. The only negative was the waiting area. Our receptionist was a little rude, the large vase with red and yellow orchids was beautiful but the table it was on was covered in thick dust. The mirrors on the receptionist desk were filthy. I was praying that the restaurant wasn't that way in the dining area and the kitchen. First impression was not positive.
We have been to this location several times, the last two times the service was terrible. We has 6 people in our party, two of the steaks were undercooked and by the time they were returned to the table everyone else was almost done eating. Waited forever for our check and longer for the receipt to sign. Management offered a flip apology and moved. Will not be back to this location.
Chris was an excellent server. Drinks are expensive at $13 ++, but pours are ample. Wine list is expensive, but can get bottles under $50. The filet was good on the classic menu, but the regular ribeye was EXCELLENT! The regular menue has prime steak, but the Classic menu does not. Hollandise was great on the asparagus, and desert chocolates are fine.
We were celebrating Richard's retirement using a gift card sent by our son in Boston. Although there were many open tables when we arrived, we were seated at the end of the dining room at the entrance to the kitchen. Two side dishes, French fries and broccoli arrived cold and were returned. Only the fries were re-served to the table. We never received a new order of broccoli and had to remind the server to remove it from the bill. My husband and I ordered the dinner combination of lobster and filet. It was supposed to be accompanied by salad, potatoes and dessert. We also ordered the mashed potato side dish. We never received the potatoes included in the combination dinner and were still charged for the mashed potatoes. For the cold side dishes we were given free desserts. Our desserts were included anyway. Altogether, for the price, it was disappointing!
We went to R.C. for New Year's Eve and we were greatly disappointed. Our Seat was in the bowels of the restaurant, didn't even know this room existed. We were sat at a fold up table with conference room chairs. The wine they suggested with the "Classic" was sold out. They tried up sell us, we asked for a price they suddenly had a cheaper (much cheaper) suggestion. The server didn't clarify which "Classic" my guests wanted and subsequently three of my guests to received the wrong meal. Surprise, they were given a much more expensive option. Overall, this was not what you expect from an establishment like this on New Year's Evening. I feel like they just wanted to pack as many people in the restaurant as they could and get the bill as high as you can, shame on them.
