Our waiter, I think his name was Bill from North Carolina, was terrific. Please send him our thanks. Joe
Our waiters name was Wyatt, he was informative and attentive.
Warm bread with butter was served just as we received our drinks and our water glasses were always refilled promptly.
We started with salads. The Caesar salad was crisp and the dressing was very light and not over bearing. The chopped salad was served in a stack form with layers of the ingredients combined also with a very light dressing and crisp lettuce.
I had the 8oz filet and my husband had the sea bass. Both meals were perfect.
The beef was cooked perfectly, medium, nice baseball cut, every bite as good as the first.
The sea bass was moist, flaky and delicious and finished with a roasted coconut crust.
We had a side of mashed potatoes which were good but nothing to write home about.
Topped our dinner off with a shared bread pudding which was finished with a sweet cream of sorts.
Expensive meal but feel we received value for the price.
We were celebrating an anniversary and we received a glass of Champagne and flaming strawberries in recognition of the event. It was a nice touch and unexpected.
Steak quality was well below my previous experiences at Ruth Chris locations.
Very nice evening!
The service was great, the food phenomenal as usual!
Everything was fantastic except the lobster was rubbery.
We love Ruth's Chris as a rule and have come to expect quality and consistency throughout the chain. We're willing to pay for this. Our party of 4 each ordered medium steaks. We were starving, well passed the mediocre leathery ahi appetizer, and well into our 4-hour meal when they came out. Two were perfect, one over done, one bloody rare. Mistakes happen, recovery makes the difference. The well done steak was replaced timely; the rare streak refired to the point it was charred and well done. Not the way to handle a $65 steak--especially with the manager standing near by to see how it was going to go over. By then, we have 2 people eating the original steaks before they're cold, one starting in on the replacement, and one frustrated at having to ask the waiter then manager together to take back the blackened steak. They offered to replace the steak, which they should have done to begin with. Bad form and too little too late. What should have been a lovely dinner ended up in a marathon night feeling disgruntled and left wanting. Yes, the steak was deducted from the bill, but the negative experience was worth far more than any correction to the bill could compensate for. Oh, and the original 25% discount offered on bottled wines wasnt reflected on the bill. A $600 bill after a free steak should be a much better experience--especially at Ruth's Chris. Hawaii, you need to represent the chain better than this. Shame on you!!
Pacing of meal needs work! We waited a VERY long time between our salad course and the main course. Way beyond appropriate timing. If it were a beautiful setting overlooking the ocean maybe ok; on the second floor of a shopping mall it’s just painful.
Also their wine selections are disorganized.
Finally, diners were given the wrong “done-ness” orders and had to switch after several bites in.
Overall for a well established chain this outlet needs some attention.
Food was great...as always. Server was attentive and very helpful.
Food was excellent; service was outstanding. Ambiance was perfect.
I would NOT recommend this restaurant . The food was very expensive...$250 for two people. The steaks were overcooked, not as ordered, and the baked potato was cool. As I didn't want to embarrass my wife by sending the meal back, we ate, paid the bill, and left. I did send a comment to the head office and did not have the courtesy of a reply.
Expensive, but worth the money for the quality of food and service.
The New York strip was great but the shrimp tasted as if it had been grilled with taco seasoning from the grocery. Additionally the Brussels sprouts were poorly prepared and the Caesar salad main ribs were not properly trimmed as well as not crisp.
Seriously the worst meal in a long time
Ny strip Luke warm and couldn't cut into
Sort of soggy
Not a big chain restaurant fan, especially when traveling....prefer local flavors/culture,so this was outside the norm. Been to many Ruth’s Chris restaurants in and outside the US, but this was the best Ruth’s Chris food experience I’ve had in years. We were treated very well for an intimate birthday celebration.
Love the Food the staff the service the atmosphere everything
Food and service was very good . Escargot was delicious!
One of our favorites restaurants at home in IL, Florida, & The Big Island. Consistently awesome food!
I've been to different Ruth's Chris restaurants and I would have to say this was my least favorite experience. I felt my filet was too peppery and my lobster was over cooked. Both my husband and son were very happy with their meals. The aid dishes were wonderful and the white chocolate bread pudding with the chambord cream sauce was amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant.
Service was slow to the point of us having to ask about our order. The prices were very high and out of line with the quality received. Easy to avoid going to this restaurant when so many other choices are available.
