Ruth's Chris Steak House - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
I enjoyed myself. The food as well as the service was exquisite. I loved the fact that the managers came around to each table and introduced themselves and asked was everything ok. Our server and assistant service were great. Andrew, Nick and Cory are the best. It was a little busy, but they made me feel like our table was the only table in the room. I am having another bday dinner at the Philadelphia location on Friday. I can’t wait!!!!
My wife and I go out a lot. Been to many great steakhouses in the city including Barclay Prime and Butcher and Singer. I say this only to set up the fact that I know what to expect at a steakhouse of this level.
Here were our issues with our experience:
-Requested a booth, hostess told us booths were only for parties of 4, however the next 3 parties seated had two and sat at the booths we requested. Most were empty the entire time of our visit. We could have been accommodated. This isn't Applebee's.
-Bread did not taste fresh
-Beverages came out 15 minutes after initial order
- Surf and Turf was served on a plate that was too small, Lobster fell on the floor.
- My Diet Coke glass was empty much of the night, waiter nowhere to be found. Had to ask each time he was near our area for a fresh one.
- My wife's steak was suppose to be medium plus, mine medium rare. Mine came out medium.
If I was taking my wife to Friendly's, almost all of these things would be brushed off. But at nearly $100/plate I expect more, and I should since every other restaurant I have been to at this level performed better. Very disappointing.
First off, let me say that the food was amazing. BUT! I asked the waiter to use 2 different credit cards (mine and the person I dined with) for 2 different amounts. When the waiter brought back the receipts to sign, he did as instructed. However, the next day, it was discovered that the waiter ran my card for the full amount, and also ran my companion's card for an additional $100. I now have to wait 3 business days for this to be resolved. Very disappointing.
The staff was lovely from hostess to wait staff & bus staff. I would have preferred to have finished my appetizer, then gotten my salad but they were brought together. then before I was done my salad and appetizer, they brought my main course. Other than that blip, it was a lovely meal.
I would like to start off with the waitress was rude did not attend to our needs for example never made us feel welcomed did not ask if we were celebrating anything special from the beginning I told her it was our first visit and when it was time to order I asked a question about the sweet potatoe casserole and she got a attitude as if I was supposed to know the ingredients in the the dish also my wife order soda by 3 different people including the waitress she finally brung it out after I asked her 2x which she brung 2 glasses as if to say don't bother me that's how we felt there was no real conversation with us like there were with her other tables. Once desert came around that's when I mention it was my wife Birthday then she gave her dessert on the house but overall experience was terrible we've been to Capital Grill Delfriscos other resteraunts and they were fantastic so with that being said this was a very bad experience especially for first visit..
Wow....my wife and I visited Ruth's KOP for a combination early Valentine's Day and our 38th wedding anniversary. Our 11oz Filet Mignon's were nothing short of perfection. Perfect cuts. Perfect cooking. Perfect everything. Our wait staff was unbelievable. Each of them wished us well on our anniversary and made sure that EVERYTHING was exceptional. And it was!
I have been to many Ruth's.......but this one ranks up there near the top. Do not miss this place when you are in Montgomery County. And if you aren't in Montgomery County, go anyway! There are very few spots I would drive great distances for....but this is one of them!!!
Arrived a few minutes early for our reservation so we headed to the bar. Drinks were okay- nothing fantastic. Got our tab to head to our table, I went to the table while my husband waited to settle up. 10 minutes later he joined me at the table with the tab from the bar as no one would help him. Our server took care of it but just not a good start. Our table was SMALL and about 8 inches from the table next to us on either side. I could hear both sides conversations perfectly and I wasn’t trying. We ordered two apps- they were good. We then both had steak and lobster tails- again they were cooked how we asked and good. But the meal was not $180 (plus bar tab) good. Do yourself a favor and go to capital grill instead of you want excellent steak AND service with space to enjoy it.
We had a reservation for dinner for my birthday and requested the fireplace room. We arrived early and the restaurant was packed. We were offered a booth in the bar rather than wait and we took it. We have eaten in the bar before and had no problem. The service this time was lousy. While the filet and sides were good the wedge was awful. The bacon was uncooked and inedible. We had to chase our waitress to order wine. We waited more than 20 minutes for our dessert and had to ask twice to have the server check on it. All around it was a lousy experience and a disappointment after looking forward to it all week.
As expected from Ruth's! Started with the Spicy Shrimp app which was great and then we both ordered the Surf-n-turf combos, one with the 11oz. fillet and other with the 16oz. rib eye. Both meals were very good and cooked as ordered, medium-rare. Neither steaks were the best melt in the mouth cuts we have ever had, but appropriate with the price paid. TIP: You may want to order one step less cooked since the hot butter plates continue to cook the meat as you start eating.
This was my first time at the Ruth Chris in King of Prussia. We went to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious. The only complaint we had, was that we asked for the Lamb Chops to be well done and they came out burnt, but edible. Otherwise, we had a lovely evening.
For an appetizer we ordered the barbecue shrimp. It had nothing barbecue about it and was covered in a thick cream sauce. It was ok but not what we were expecting. My husband had prime rib which he said was amazing. I had filet, crab cake and chicken. The crab cake was the size of a half dollar coin which was disappointing and the bottom was so burnt I couldn’t even cut it, let alone eat it. The filet was supposed to be medium but came out very well done and very tough. The chicken was so overdone it was completely covered in black char. I was extremely disappointed. Our waitress gave me a hard time multiple times for sending it back
I love that the food is served on hot plates so your meal stays hot from first bite to last. I just don't understand why the coffee is no hotter than luke warm. I have been here before and thought it was just an off night. It may be a minor thing but rounding off a good meal with a great cup of hot coffee and dessert is what most customers want.
This is my third going here. As usual, the service was great. The food was even better. And my wife loved it. I told them it was our anniversary ahead of time and they had a signed card and rose petels on the table. Was very happy I choose this place. She had the shrimp and I had the steak. Both very delicious.
The service was top notch but the food did not match my expectations. We went here for our anniversary and we had $125 worth of gift cards. Even after that I still spent $106. We did get a bottle of wine that was like $58 but still the meal (no appetizers) was nowhere near worth the money. Next time we’ll stick with either Bridget’s in Ambler or The Farmer’s Daughter near Blue Bell.
Being frequent diners of Ruth Chris here & Center City along with Marsha Browns, we felt our table service was slow and not up to Ruth Chris standards, especially on a holiday. This was our 5th anniversary nye dinner here & have to say we were not 100% satisfied with our food nor the service. Marsha needs to step in and do an overall re-evaluation to make sure they are not slipping. Better luck in 2018 to you. I will say Christian our busser was awesome, great personality & asset to the restaurant.
