Ruth's Chris Steak House - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
Our waiter asked whose birthday it was and later the Manager came to our table to wish my son a happy birthday & said his dessert would be on them. The rest of us were full when the time so we said we would not be ordering dessert. Out waiter then just brought the check. It would have been nice for them to bring a piece of something with candles so we could just sing happy birthday & have that moment. The four of us would have taken a bite. When they just brought the check we just looked at each other and shook our heads...
Dinner was very disappointing. The quality of the ribeye was no better than any diner. The vegetables of the day (broccolini) were supposed to be sauteed with garlic. Instead, they were hard, and simply boiled...no taste.Certainly, not what you would expect form a top steak house.
Service was just horrible. We have been here many times and have never had this issue. Waiting 20 minutes just to get our drinks then another 15 just to take our order. We had 2 different other waitresses ask if we've been helped yet an took our menus because they were sitting on the edge of the table for so long when we didn't even order our food yet. Then our food come out probably 2 minutes after our appetizer. Very disappointed when we spent about $270 on a meal....
This was my first trip to Ruth's Chris - a special treat for my boyfriend who has put in a ton of overtime at work
The service wr received was fantastic; the everyday steak/BBQ places do not compare. My boyfriend and I ordered the "Friday Night Date" and we each got a Caesar salad, mashed potatoes and prime rib. I ordered mine median-rare and was truly impressed with the steak I received. On the other hand, my boyfriend ordered his medium-well and his was burnt burnt burnt - really disappointing.
All in all, my dinner was amazing and i paid about $100 for everything. We will definitely return to Ruth's Chris ... But we won't order anything more than Medium
Very pleasantly surprised at our visit. (We have tried similar restaurants in our area and were totally unimpressed.) Ruth's Chris King of Prussia is very nicely appointed, great ambiance and low noise. Service was absolutely awesome! They were attentive, friendly and professional. The food was very good, perfectly cooked and served. Looking forward to returning again soon.
If you like steak cooked with butter this is the place for you. The food is good but could use some improvements. Had the cowboy-- very fatty but was good. I usually go to Ruth's 2-3 a year and go to other steak house in the area more often. It will remain that way. Service is Very Good!!!!
Ruth's continues to be a great steakhouse but our only complaint is that they need to upgrade their wine menu. Their half priced specials are not really special considering they have no wine priced below $45.00 which is the half price. It would be great if they follow other steakhouse leads and offer some interesting wines in the $30.00 range.
Very few wines are worth to pay $85.00 to $125.00 for. Stick to bar booze and beer and your wallet won't feel the pinch. Their bar prices, other than sweet corporate choices at $7.00 are hard to swallow. Thank God the food makes up for the overpriced bar.
Had a lovely dinner there with my husband for our 10 year anniversary. Waitress and assistant were very attentive. They put rose petals on our table and took a picture of us and presented it to us in a cute frame. We both had the filet and spinach salad. The sweet potatoes were VERY good too!
I've been to Ruth's several times. This was the first time that I recall sitting in a booth near the bar. It was VERY LOUD. While I didn't mind the bartenders talking, they were VERY LOUD and it really took away from our experience. Next time, I will make sure we are not seated in that area.
we visited Ruth's Chris to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Our waitress came out with
red rose petals that she sprinkled on our table, took our picture and presented it to us in a frame that said 25th wedding anniversary and the date. The restaurant also treated us to 2 free desserts. They made our special occasion dinner even more special.
We enjoyed the meal. The steaks and sides were fantastic. The only reason we did not give a higher rating is because the desserts were not very good. The molten chocolate cake was overcooked, so it was just dry chocolate cake and the creme brule was kind of like scrambled eggs with a sugar crust on top. With that said, it was a special occasion, so they did not actually charge us for the desserts. The service was great, the steaks were great, the place was quiet and clean. I guess the rating reflects the fact that we watch too much Gordon Ramsay to let the deserts slide. :) We would go back.
Server was awesome, but assistant server was terrible. He had a bit of an attitude too. The food was good, but I honestly wasn't that impressed with the flavor. The restaurant was very appealing to the eye, and parking was ample. I've eaten at a competitive restaurant and would probably go back there if I wanted upscale dining again. I like to eat out and pay $100+ a plate for food I wouldn't make at home, but this food could have been made at home.
The noise level was fine with the exception of the people in the booth behind us talking very loudly...we could hear every word. The food was amazing except that both of our steaks were overcooked and since this was a place known for their steaks, it was disappointing. My husband still enjoyed his steak because it had the blue cheese crust but I had a filet without toppings and there was nothing to mask that it was medium to medium-well when I ordered it medium rare.
I didn't finish the steak. We will still return to try again but I might not get a steak.
The service and the appetizer were wonderful
