We made reservations thru OT on Thursday for the coming Saturday night. Should have been my first clue that if they had reservations available in that area for Saturday night they might have an issue. Things started out fine, waitress was attentive but then things went down hill. Two of the Filet Mignons were way overdone. Ordered medium rare and medium. They came well done and gray as in beyond well done. By the time we could get the attention of our waitress we were so hungry most of the one of the steaks was consumed. We decided to share the two steaks that were correctly done. Waitress said she’d have the manager come visit our table. 15 minutes passed and she came back and said we could have free deserts. We were already getting included deserts. Waitresses deducted the cost of two steaks from the bill. Manager finally showed and apparently forgot he was supposed to address the steak issue. Instead he made small talk until we brought it up. He glossed over our issue, no apology, no real acknowledgment that the kitchen might have an issue. We have visited other Ruth Chris restaurants and never a problem before. Right before we left a bus boy spilled drinks all down the back of another patron. It was an accident I’m sure but pretty much sums up our experience.
an excellent meal again. My steak was ordered medium and came out uncooked and even when it was returned it was no good. But the head waiter was right on it and gave me a whole new cut of steak which was cooked perfectly and was great. The others in my party ordered steak and/or sea bass, which was also done as they asked. Service was excellent (John, the head waiter and Adam, our waiter in particular). Problems arise but they dealt with them professionally and the meal was excellent. Ruth's Chris steaks are the best!
Very attentive waiter and excellent food. Outstanding desert menu.
We had a wonderful dinner at Ruth Chris. The food was great! Of course, we all had steak. The service was great, too! I would highly recommend this restaraunt.
It was very nice food was great and staff was very attentive and polite. My wife and I went for our two year wedding anniversary. We’ll definitely be back again.
I've heard mixed reviews for the center city Ruth Chris, but the KOP location never fails to deliver. This is an old favorite of my friend and I and we visited for his birthday. If you're in the mood for a solid steakhouse with wonderful service and ambience, this is the place. We were seated in a comfortable, secluded booth and given exceptional service. We both had filets and they were cooked perfectly. We shared the potatoes and green beans, both expertly prepared. I enjoyed the wedge salad. Even dessert - a banana cream pie - was excellent. Ruth Chris makes for a lovely environment for taking your time and really enjoying the evening. Highly recommend.
I have been to this restraint on several occasions. And all ways left and wanted to return, on Friday, on Friday April 6, 2018 I and my wife came out four our fortieth anniversary, First off I thought the Happy hour prices were a little bit deceiving, I didn't thing I would need to read the fine print for a Manhattan, the Happy hour drink was made with Jim Beam. I ordered the whole lobster and it was fine, my wife ordered a filet and it was over cooked, which she did not order, the only reason I did not sent it back was the place was very crowded and we had plans.
Wonderful as usual. We’ll be back. Food and customer service is superb as always. :-)
THE BEST FILET IN THE AREA.
Birthday for my lady, she loved the food and dessert as I did
Expected a little more service at the price point of the restaurant. I had to get my sisters water glass because mines was empty for so long. Manager came by early to check on us, then came right to the table next to us later. I tried to say something but she moved on a little quickly. I’ll try again at another location.
Great. As always!
First off and I understand this is a steakhouse, and meats are their specialty. And they know how to cook meats.
I have been here probably about a dozen times in the last 5 years when the need for a good steak arises. There are plenty of options for steaks in KOP. Mortons, Capital Grille, Sullivans, Fogo de Chao...but Ruth Chris stands out as always.
Never had a bad steak.
On this night, I thought I'd be different. Perhaps this was my mistake. A simple cajun spiced piece of Salmon for $37...What??? Don't get me wrong, it was delicious. But THIRTY SEVEN BUCKS???? And that's just for the fish!!! No sides.
The filet itself I could find at any market for around $7. The spices were present, but not overpowering. It was slightly under cooked in the center, but not enough to warrant a return. It was a very good piece of fish.
I will return to Ruth Chris. I will order meat from now on.
Service is exceptional as always. Not only our server, but all the runners that help out too.
Been coming here for past 3 years at least 3 or 4 times per year. Some visits are better than others and this visit was outstanding. We went with the the prix fixe dinner once again (2 tiers $45 and $55) and for a total bill of $137 w/2 drinks we felt it was an excellent value for a top end steakhouse for a salad, filet, side dish, dessert, 2 coffees...
We have tried the competition and keep coming back
Linda was fantastic!! We will definitely return. Quality of the food was terrific.
Great experience for our anniversary. Rose petals on the table and they took pur picture and gave it to us in a neat picture frame. Very thoughtful!
Great nice birthday dinner. Had a nice time. Service and food was spot on
Overrated steak - tough and not very flavorful. But the sides are very good.
My wife and I went to Ruth Chris expecting to pay a Little more money for really good steak.my steal was hot when served and cooked medium how I asked for it. The steak wasn't bad but it wasn't worth the 50$ I spent for it.it compared to Texas roadhouse.my wife's steak was not cooked to medium how she asked for it instead it was well done and she said it was very grainy.we got our food fast but after our meal service dropped and it took one hour to get a desert and the check.nothing special or worth the money at Ruth chris.we will not be going back
Not the luxury dining experience I expected.
Our steaks were perfectly cooked. The service was good and the setting surprisingly quiet given that it was s full room. Our desserts were a great finish to a nice evening. Definitely a worthwhile treat.
Visited for restaurant week. Good menu selection, delicious food, and great server. Only caveat is not very intimate dining room. Some are better. Ours was crowded & loud. But overall a very nice meal.
Horrible! They did not return phone call either about the items on bill we did not receive, the terrible service from a condescending inattentive server, rude manager and overcooked steak. Will never go here again and am sticking to Capital Grille where we normally go and they don't disappoint.
Service was excellent and the food was well prepared and presented.
As always I we had a great time the food was great and my waitress was great also.
We took advantage of King of Prussia’s Restaurant Week to re-visit Ruth’s Chris in KOP. We were seated immediately, and it was no time until our server, Kim, visited. While a limited menu is offered during Restaurant Week, they make certain to include a steak selection. This restaurant completely spoils you for steak anywhere else. Known for “the sizzle” the steaks are always perfectly cooked to order and smell marvelous - setting you up tor the first bite. Side dishes are perfectly prepared. I had a fire-roasted corn dish that you could immediately tell was prepared in-house by hand. Service throughout the meal is consistently good.
Thank you for an excellent dining experience, on our first visit, to Ruth's Chris Steak House, King of Prussia. Our Server & Food Staff was so attentive, to our table, and the food was so delicious tasting.
Great value, for our $100.00 gift card, so my husband & I could enjoy having a 4 course meal for dinner out, together.
To the Manager, Thank you for your excellent caring food & beverage service people.
Sherry & John Gerhart
Everything was excellent! Servers were extreme attentive and made sure our dinner experience was great. Our group has already said we will return again soon.
My boyfriend and I have officially named Ruth's Chris our; date night spot! Jeff has been our waiter the past two times we visited, and he is fantastic! The service is A1 and the food is delicious! The best steak I have ever had!
Outstanding service. Alex provided complimentary desserts to celebrate the sale of our house, complete with candles. Gave excellent advice re wines and entrees. Food was excellent too.
My experience at your steak house was pretty good overall. My waiter really wasn't up to par. Older white gentlemen. Myself and my wife had to flag him down for every drink refill. Other waiters took away are dishes because they seen we had know room on our table. Why our waiter was behind us cleaning wine glasses. My wife ordered a fillet. Why he brought her out a butterflied fillet I don't know. She was very unhappy about that.
We were seated in a timely fashion as soon as we arrived. The wait staff was courteous, professional and considerate. All questions were answered and sufficient time was allowed prior to ordering. The food was served in a timely fashion and each and every item ordered was cooked perfectly as described.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Arriving at our table we found it sprinkled with fresh rose petals and a nice card signed by the staff. We opted to share a harvest salad with dried cherries, pecans, goat cheese and a nice light dressing. We both had blue cheese crusted steak and each steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. My rib steak on the bone was great. My husband was slightly disappointed at the tenderness of his New York strip steak. We also ordered the sweet potato casserole. For dessert bread pudding topped with a candle(we were not charges since it was our anniversary). The service was perfect. The manager even came to check on us. We will return soon.
I enjoyed myself. The food as well as the service was exquisite. I loved the fact that the managers came around to each table and introduced themselves and asked was everything ok. Our server and assistant service were great. Andrew, Nick and Cory are the best. It was a little busy, but they made me feel like our table was the only table in the room. I am having another bday dinner at the Philadelphia location on Friday. I can’t wait!!!!
Since we didn’t do nothing for Valentine’s Day. Last night was actually our Valentines dinner. We all had a very good experience. That’s my second there. It was amazing
My wife and I go out a lot. Been to many great steakhouses in the city including Barclay Prime and Butcher and Singer. I say this only to set up the fact that I know what to expect at a steakhouse of this level.
Here were our issues with our experience:
-Requested a booth, hostess told us booths were only for parties of 4, however the next 3 parties seated had two and sat at the booths we requested. Most were empty the entire time of our visit. We could have been accommodated. This isn't Applebee's.
-Bread did not taste fresh
-Beverages came out 15 minutes after initial order
- Surf and Turf was served on a plate that was too small, Lobster fell on the floor.
- My Diet Coke glass was empty much of the night, waiter nowhere to be found. Had to ask each time he was near our area for a fresh one.
- My wife's steak was suppose to be medium plus, mine medium rare. Mine came out medium.
If I was taking my wife to Friendly's, almost all of these things would be brushed off. But at nearly $100/plate I expect more, and I should since every other restaurant I have been to at this level performed better. Very disappointing.
First off, let me say that the food was amazing. BUT! I asked the waiter to use 2 different credit cards (mine and the person I dined with) for 2 different amounts. When the waiter brought back the receipts to sign, he did as instructed. However, the next day, it was discovered that the waiter ran my card for the full amount, and also ran my companion's card for an additional $100. I now have to wait 3 business days for this to be resolved. Very disappointing.
We had an amazing night there! All of the food was sooo delicious. Our server was so nice and knowledgeable about all of the offerings of the menu. The drinks were also very delicious. We plan on making this our special occasion restaurant.
Belated Valentines dinner. Drinks took a while. Steak was really filled with fat. We get the same Cowboy every time and this was bad. Ordered dessert to go, o got the Duo, got home and it only had one part of the duo.
The chicken was great. The steak was not what I expected. I've been to Del Frisco's, Sullivan's, Morton's etc and Ruth Chris is at the bottom of that list. Expected a little more for a $70 steak. And the au gratin potatoes were bland as hell.
