Since it was restaurant week, we decided to give Ruth’s Chris a try. I really enjoyed the 8oz filet.
We were very disappointed in the food. Expected much better for their prices.
We expected better quality food for prices being charged also my steak was not correct was other guests .I understand it wasn't perfect timing but we came to support an open business . Feel like waiter after taking orders wasn't around as much he should have. And it wasn't for crowds . Always heard Great things about this place but highly dissatisfied. All-around.

The food was superb!
Everything was great. Surprisingly, the weakest dish was the NY Strip - good, cooked to requested temp, but not what I expected compared to other steak houses nearby. Chilled seafood tower was perfect though. Service was also perfect.
The service and overall ambiance of the restaurant made it a memorable evening. We expected fine food, and were not disappointed. Being respected and well-treated by all staff definitely made our dinner worthwhile.
The service was good and the food was great! Several wait staff checked in with us including the manager.
Dinner was okay, it was good but I didn't think it was anything special. I was not as impressed as I had hoped I would be.

I have always loved Ruth’s Chris as a favorite steakhouse to visit, however my recent dinner was less than average. I ordered a filet (medium) and added the Oscar style side - with a crab cake. Upon delivery, the crab cake looked dry and like it had been over broiled... when I put my fork to it unfortunately it was hard and dry - I didn’t even taste it. When I pointed it out to the waiter he said ‘yes I see that’... it was so obvious and immediately sent back and replaced, but why did it make it out to my table in the first place? Sadly, my filet was overdone as well and bordered something on well done - I should have sent that back also. Overall it was just a disappointing visit. Wish I could say it was the crowd, but it was not nearly as crowded as in past visits. Next time we spend over $200 on dinner (just dinner, no desserts) I would rather spend it somewhere else that will be more enjoyable.

Unfortunately my last two experiences at Ruth Chris steakhouse have been mediocre at best. The staff is always lovely. However the food has been well below average particularly for that price point. It used to be the only place where I even ate steak but I feel like the quality of the beef has gone downhill dramatically. In addition the sides were also only mediocre

Our steaks were cooked to perfection which is what we have come to expect at this “fabulous” restaurant. Bryce our server was extremely attentive all evening and did a phenomenal job. Thanks to everyone at Ruth’s Chris for being so friendly and accommodating !!!
Server Corey was amazing for our birthday dinner. Corey was very personable and made us feel extremely welcomed. Will definitely be returning.
Their steaks are tender and flavorful. I like that the steak is served on a hot plate with melted butter. The butter adds extra flavor to the steak. The lobster macaroni and cheese is different because a it has jalapeño peppers mixed in.
Great food, great service.
This used to be one of our favorite places to go to dinner. They have been seriously slipping. The food quality is still the same but the staff is the pits. Food is over or under cooked or just plain wrong. We ate there Saturday 2/22. Our drinks were horrible had to send them back. Finally decided on just wine because they can’t mess that up. Problems with at least half the stuff we ordered. Steaks under cooked, they ran out of things and didn’t know it till after our order was taken. They even messed up desert. We got someone else’s. The clientele has severely declined as well.
The service was disappointing and not in keeping with my expectations for a high end restaurant. The waiter was inattentive:
- Never gave us rolls until we asked after the main course arrived.
- Overcharged us for two of the same side dishes.
- Did not refill our beverages.
- Did not come to check on our food, as one of our orders was unsatisfactory. We got assistance and attention of another waitress for help.
- Did not refresh my setup between appetizers and main course, even though he removed the used setup. After waiting along time after our entrees arrived, I borrowed a setup from another table.
Great food and really great service. Staff is very attentive and friendly.
We were less than impressed by our experience. We were placed at the tiniest table when they didn’t seem all that busy for Saturday of Valentine’s weekend (probably should have tipped us off...). Our food was just ok - certainly not worth the price. My husband ordered the larger steak plain and I ordered a small one with a topping and they flopped it. We swapped it out but the presentation was also lack luster as it looked like they threw our food on used plates - they were so dirty. A fly flew into my wine (where did he come from when it’s 10 degrees in February?!?!) When we finished eating it took about a half hour for our waiter to come ask us if we wanted dessert or the check - and that was only after we had to flag him down. We have gone to RC in Aruba and it was a much better experience all around. Certainly not worth the value here.
Our waiter Jim saved the night. We were sat at a small cocktail table when there were at least 6 booths open. We asked the woman who sat us if we could move and was told it would be a 30 min wait. This was going to be the last time we visited Ruth's Chris because of this but when we mentioned it to Jim he simply moved us over to a nice booth, where we enjoyed the evening. I watched and there were ALWAYS booths open through our meal. If Jim had not jumped in and made that move, it would have been the last visit to Ruth's Chris. But, thanks to JIm, its not. He's a good man and a great waiter. Appreciate him.
Let me start by saying this is my first and only review, but i felt a review should be written. I took my wife here for the first time for valentine's day and we were extremely excited because we heard great things. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was good. The food and service was different. I ordered the surf and turf and my wife ordered a 8 oz filet and we got two sides of mashed potatoes and broccoli. When they brought out the food the first time our steaks were on the wrong plates and the waiter changed them at the table in front of us placing my wife steak in the lobster tail juice, which my wife hates seafood. Then placed the dishes i front of us. I think the waiter saw the look on my wifes face and then Asked if she would like a different plate. We just thought that was very unprofessional. After he walked away we cut into our steaks and found the temperatures were completely wrong mine was way overcooked and my wifes was bloody. So they reversed the temps of our steaks and placed them in the wrong plates. My wife was disgusted because she hates bloody steak. So at this point we had to send it back. I dont send food back so i was just going to eat mine but my wife reminded me they were 60$ steaks. When they brought them out the second time, the steaks were fine. But my wife noticed right away they were different lobster tails. They were way over cooked and shriveled up. The broccoli was hard and not cooked at all. The only thing that was good was the mashed potatoes and the two drinks we got. We were very disappointed and unsatisfied and underwhelmed, especially for the meal being $180 with tip.
We absolutely love Ruth's Chris, but this experience was not up to par. Our service was incredibly slow. My salad came after my steak, we had to beg to get drinks and ask to change tables. The steak was not cooked correctly either. The manager was kind enough to take a few things off our tab, but it will be a while before we return. For the price you pay, not up to standards, unfortunately during a holiday (Valentine's day) too.

Night in the town with wife
As always the experience was EXCELLENT! Our server Zuri took good care of us! The food was amazing! One of the best steakhouse’s around!
We got the porterhouse for two. Warning, when the wait staff tell you the plate is got, not exaggerating! The steak literally sizzles on the plate! Excellent!
My family had a wonderful time.
Alysse was an AMAZING waitress. Service was perfect. Food was absolutely delicious. We had a lovely date night out and would like to indulge kore often!
My wife ordered her steak well done, but it was so dry we had to send it back.
It was not a good experience. Perhaps the location in Center City Philadelphia is better.
Our server was really not on top of things. There were very few guests in the restaurant for our first hour but there were just so many delays in every step of our service, from beginning to end. It’s also frustrating that I ordered a sauce with my steak, but when the steak arrived I had to ask for it again, and it took about ten minutes for her to bring it. She offered me another hot plate (not sure how a hot plate would cure a cold steak) but at that point the last thing I wanted was to wait for that to arrive, so I declined. My daughter’s ravioli also arrived cold for some reason. But the server’s assistant, the gentleman who cleared the table, brought dessert, etc. was fantastic. I wish we had caught his name but he was so polite and so on top of things. We really appreciated his hard work.
I would suggest restoring the barbecue sauce option for use with steak. I previously had it on a previous occasion at Ruth Chris and it was fabulous. I was disappointed that it wasn’t available with the meal and hope that for my future visits, it will be available

Food was good but I had hair in my vegetables and the lamb chops was a little small.
The service was good, the food was great. We were seated in a quiet back room with only a few other guests.
We went here on a Friday night at 8:00. Very surprised at how empty the restaurant was for that time on a Friday. There was Four in our party. Three of us ordered steaks and one had a chicken plate. You would figure that the steaks would shine above the chicken. Nope, one of the steaks which was ordered Medium came out well done. One of the steaks ordered Medium came out rare.
One of us ordered the filet with two lobster tails.
The tails were so small they were one maybe two bites each and were so well done they were actually crispy. By this time we were one of the only tables in restaurant so we didn’t want to send anything back as we felt bad as though we figured they were closing. The chicken was really good. Go figure!
Over all it was not worth the $375.00 we spent for four people to have dinner!
My wife ordered her steak medium well and was cooked medium rare.
I made a reservation and I was promptly seated. It was a very slow night and the room we were in had about 5 other tables. We were served food and bread by an employee, not our server, and were told our server would be there shortly. My dinner companion and I sat at the table for over 25 minutes as we watched 5-6 employees walk by our table, make eye contact with us, ignore us, and serve other tables. One table, which was seated after us, placed their order, got their drinks, and received their appetizer’s before anyone even came to our table. We eventually got up and left. As I left, I told the Manager/host what had transpired and he informed me that the server knew we were there. This makes the service even more egregious. We went Capital Grille without a reservation and salvaged the evening. I wouldn’t accept this level of service at a chain restaurant let alone a supposedly high end steak house. I go out to eat at least once a week and we received a gift card and thought we would try it out and make it a part of our regular eating spots. Fortunately, Capital Grille, which was jammed packed, was able to give us a table and exceptional service without a reservation.
As always a great meal . Service is always attentive. One of our go to places to relax .
I booked a reservation at 7 PM on open table. We had to wait for a little over a half an hour to be seated. When I asked the hostess she was not very nice and told me she couldn't control when the tables would become available. We waited for a long time for our food and when it finally arrived it was not cooked the way we ordered it. We had to send three of the steaks back as they were so undercooked. We did complain to the waitress and the GM came over and was very empathetic and he took the steaks off of the bill and gave us free dessert to make up for the problems. The whole experience was something that you would expect from the Outback or a chain restaurant, not Ruth Chris. The filet that I finally got after I had to send it back twice was not that good. It was tough and they claim this is the best 2 percent of steak in the country?
