Ruth's Chris Steak House - Kennesaw Ratings and Reviews
Chris, Chris and Stephanie in the Bar were phenomenal!!!! Our server was Justin and he was very capable, spot on with ideas, pairings, info, restaurant history and just had a very good attitude. One that made me want to ask him to sit down with us... The only down-side or negatives are 1. Dress code policy - ENFORCE IT!!!!! 2. Honor reservations!!!! Had a 7:30 reservation, arrived at 7:20 and was not seated till 8pm... Hindsight being what it is, my wife and I figure that next time we'll just sit at the bar. Especially with the great staff that was there that night. Finally the food was and is always AWESOME!!!!! Had the porterhouse for two with lobster mac and creamed spinach sides. Keep it up, went to Bones last year for the first time, and left there wondering why we didn't go to Ruth's Chris again. Thank you for a wonderful evening, look forward to doing it again.
Ruth's Chris has always had the 'great steaks" reputation and they did not disappoint this time either. Wife had ribeye and it was great. I had sea bass which was very good also. Only thing is it can be on the expensive side but it's worth it. Great experience.
The food was very good, but the service was far below what I normally expect. After finishing dinner, it was 20-25 minutes before our table was cleared of our dinner plates and before
the desert was served. Also after getting our water glasses filled when we first arrived,
we never got a refill and the waiters walked by our table on several occasions.
Server was very good but it took longer than expected to receive our entrées. Dining room was quite full that evening, so that may have been the reason for the delay. Entrées and sides were good. However, my daughter and granddaughter decided to share the large fillet. Steak had a few areas that contained gristle. That was the only negative with food.
We were not seated despite our reservation at 8:30pm. If they were too busy then we would not have booked the reservation and gone elsewhere. We ultimately left after 15 mins of no attention after being told to wait. I would not recommend this restaurant do to their poor customer service.
Our server Stephanie was an excellent server and ambassador for Ruth's Chris in all respects. Stephanie is professional, efficient, courteous, attentive to detail without being intrusive in a business discussion context.
The reception team was terrific as well. Our steaks and the rest of the meal was prepared to perfection.
Kudos must go the Kennesaw Ruth's Chris management for finding a developing a great team and maintaining the historically high standards. By comparison, unfortunately, our company has dropped the Ruth's Chris location in the Houston Galleria area based on the new manager having turned that location into a 'train wreck' with no regard to our direct comments.
Absolutely wonderful experience, from service to the food, no complaints whatsoever! Our servers were attentive, personable and worked extremely hard to make it a great experience for us. Management checked on us more than once and even gave us free samples and dessert. Although the prices are mostly out of our usual price range, we would love to go back the next special occasion we can afford to do so!
The young lady that greeted me at the door was just wonderful. She helped me get seated and added the two additional chairs to the table that I had called in and requested, but was not done upon arrival for our group of 9 that we had coming. Our waitress, Stephanie, was also wonderful. She waited on us and handled our orders professionally. The one problem we had was with one lady that ordered a steak medium rare. At first she got the steak, it was very well done. We had to wait a while for Stephanie to come and correct the situation. When she brought the newly cooked steak, it was so rare my friend could not eat it. She gave up and would not order another steak after that, as we were on to our dessert. I was very upset, this being a "steakhouse", that the chef could not cook the steak to perfection. Also, this is not the reputation that Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is known for, and especially the prices for a steak being what they are. I had brought a cake for the occasion and requested the cake be brought out for the guest of honor to view before it was cut for individual servings. This was done as expected and I was very pleased. I was told we could have ice cream added for each person and I thought this was a nice touch. Well, that was until I saw the check that charged $7.50 for one scoop of ice cream per piece of cake. It would have been nice to have been told this, so individual checks would not be charged this amount and I could have added these charges to my check, as I was picking up the guest of honor's check and hosted this lunch. But each person refused to let me add the amount to my check, and therefore, they paid the additional $7.50 for one scoop of ice cream. I think this amount for one scoop of ice cream is ridiculous. Maybe $2.00 is more acceptable, but $7.50 is just outrageous. But, again I would like to say that the service was perfect, but I expected a little more from the food side of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.
We have been celebrating our anniversary for about 4 years and we’re always welcomed with enthusiasm, a table specially set for us..all knew we were celebrating. Received the so..what brings you today. No one had a clue it was our 21st Anniversary. We also had to wait for water refills. Not happy at all. You have lost a customer as we don’t plan to return. Felt let down by a place we used to enjoy
We were disappointed with our meals at this Ruth Chris location. We have been to three other Ruth Chris locations but our meals here were not comparable. There were three of us and we all ordered filet mignon. Two out of the three were lousy cuts of meat. The two bad cuts were ordered medium plus and came out very under cooked. We sent them back and they were still not to our liking but didn't want to send them back again. The beef did not taste good Our waitress was very nice and very accommodating and gave us the usual Ruth Chris speech that these are the finest cuts of beef. It was one of the worst pieces of filet mignon that I've had. It just did not taste good. We also ordered lobster mac & cheese that we didn't enjoy either. Maybe it was just a bad night there. We had been to the Ruth Chris in Charlotte recently and it was amazing so we couldn't wait for the same experience and it was just not what we anticipated. It's a nice restaurant and the wait staff was very nice but we just did not have a good meal. We can't complain about the service because we didn't communicate our dissatisfaction. Maybe they would have given us new filets if we complained but we just weren't up for waiting around. The worst part of it was when we got back to our hotel two of us had stomach issues. It made me wonder if that's why the meat didn't taste good, perhaps there was something wrong with it.
I was very disappointed at my experience. While they did make it festive (sprinkled glitter pieces on the table and put a candle in the cake), the food wasn't worth the money. The bisque, one of my favorites, was incredibly thick and only slightly warm.
The steaks were cut into (to ensure the correct temperature, I assume) but the ends were burned.
The service was incredible! Sadly, I can do with less service but prefer, when I pay $75 per meal, that it be far superior to Long Horn, which is where I will go next time.
We had excellent service and the food .. from the salads, steaks, sides and desert were most excellent . Our waitress and the other severs were very attentive and met every request with a smile. So much so our water glasses were never empty and our drinks were forever replenished.
The food was very good tasteful and cooked as requested .
Deserts were over the top . Really enjoyed the place will be back .
I made reservations the day before and mentioned we would be celebrating Debbie's birthday. Our waiter Alex was very attentive, provided us with a great dining service, welcomed us by name and put forth extra effort to make my friends birthday celebration special. The food was cooked to perfection and a good time was had by all.
Was at Ruth Chris in Columbia sc for business and had filet cooked perfect however this visit for special occasion was not happy with ribeye. It was over cooked and not tender. Waiter was good but felt over uncharged sales pitch. Also did not feel team as tentative working together. Ambience was noisier.
Service was excellent, but the food was very disappointing overall. The stuffed mushrooms and lobster mac n cheese were great. However, the au gratin potatoes were under seasoned and in a soupy mixture that tasted like potato water. One of the 3 steaks ordered had gone bad; smell, taste, texture all bad which was attempted to be masked by excessive amount of salt. Then, when new one brought out, it was still raw in the middle. So 1 if 3 of us did not get to actually eat dinner. To be honest, we have gone to the local butcher and cooked better in our cast iron at home for much less than they charge. I would not waste my time or money going there again for steaks...but maybe for the lobster mac.
