Ruth's Chris Steak House - Kennesaw Ratings and Reviews
Early Valentine’s Day dinner with friends. Steak was great but forgot the shrimp, placed 2 dinners in front of one person, one tuna entre wasn’t edible (stringy). Our table was pressed in the back corner with 3 people facing a corner wall. We spent about $1000 for 6 people and it needs to be awesome and it wasn’t. It was just good - except for being with friends - which was awesome.
We had three bottles of wine for our table of 5, and, except for the initial pour, the server never came back to pour a single glass for anyone. Salad and dessert were very good, as was the corn, but WAY too much butter on the steaks and mashed potatoes. Prefer Fleming’s.
We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our reservation was at 8pm. We had to wait an hour. When I checked in, I was given no instruction on how and when we would know our table was ready. I had to ask our bar waiter what we were to do, he was excellent and very attentive to our needs. Our waitress, Liz, was excellent and attentive. She took outstanding care of us, even when our soup and salad were delayed. She sent over her manager who took those items off our bill. I would recommend Ruth Chris' but only for special occasions it is a little pricey but very delicious. Our steaks and vegetables were out of this world.
Dinner was very good. The parking at this location is getting very bad. We’ve had trouble finding parking the last couple times we’ve been here. No valet parking either. This will be a consideration for us next time we are picking a restaurant and may not come back because of this.
The food was excellent and on par with the other Ruth’s Chris locations we enjoy. The service was slow and often left us waiting on things. Forgotten drinks at the bar, empty glasses with no one checking in to see what we needed. No clean appetizer plates, had to use bread plates, etc. The atmosphere doesn’t depart from the old hotel restaurant feel. It lacks the intimacy of a high end steak house.
Typically always enjoy Ruth Chris and can usually count on great food. This time steaks came out not as requested and had to send back (both of us). Twin Lobster tails seemed small. Service was good and waiter let the manager know who comped our appetizers and deserts as well as gave us a gift certificate. So that was nice and hopefully we just had a one off dinner at a place that is usually very good.
We have had better times at this restaurant. We arrived 5 mins before our reserved time. It was a busy night but the hostess didn't communicate the situation very well. We were informed by Megan (I think) that we wouldn't be seated or checked in until 6:45 (our reservation time). Nothing further was said to our group of 4 until 7:00 p.m. , when our table was ready. We were given a complimentary appetizer by the manager who obviously was aware that the restaurant was running behind. It should have been communicated by the hostess but she said nothing to us. Our waitress was great but my son's side didn't come out until after we had completed our meal. We never saw anyone to ask about it until they started clearing the table. She did remove this item from the bill. Overall a good experience but not great. Teach your hostess some communication skills.
The food was great as usual with Ruth's Chris, but we received terrible service here. We were told we had to wait even though we had a reservation. Then waited 15 minutes at the table before we even got water. The waiter was brief in his interactions and rarely checked on us. Our glasses sat empty for a while and the time between courses was too long. You go to high class steakhouses for great food and fantastic service and the service here was definitely lacking. Somehow this one got better ratings than the one in Buckhead so we tried this one for our anniversary, but I'll stick with the one in Buckhead where we were treated properly.
Very expensive so we Always appreciate when they have specials where you get salad and side included in the price! I Miss the shrimp scampi they used to have, it was my favorite. So needless to stay if I pay $50-60 for a steak only, not including any sides I expect it to be cooked correctly. The entire table was served steaks at the wrong temperature. We were served rare- cold and purple in the middle when we asked for Med and Med-well. Waited 40 minutes to be recooked and they brought out the same pieces of meat reheated and now burnt on the top and still not the right temperature. Very disappointed. Thought after waiting that long it would be a new piece of meat....not reheated and now burnt. They did try to apologize and discount our meal however I'd rather have it right the first time and a better experience! Where was the chef on the pass checking the food? You see it wrong.....don't send it out!
Dessert was perfect! Creme brûlée is the best I've ever had!
When I made my reservation I did not know that we were going to be dining in the hallway of the restaurant. Looked like they put four tables up immediately right outside of the kitchen where all the waiters and waitresses came out with the food. It’s not the overall experience I was looking for on a special night ...the food and the service was very good.
Had a nice dinner for my birthday. The food was excellent as always and the server Stephanie was very good and pleasant. However we had to wait 15 minutes for our reserved table and it took over an hour for our two very simple entrees to be served. This is a bit unusual for the Kennesaw location so hoping they will soon figure out their kitchen issues. We will definitely try again since this hopefully the exception to normally great experience.
We chose Ruth's Chris for my wife's birthday dinner. The staff were courteous and met our request. The wait for the food was a little longer than we expected and when it arrived, my dauhhter's food had to be reheated. There were no other complaints; overall, I would recommend the restaurant.
My daughter has worked at a Ruth"s Chris and the level of service she was held to was unbelievable. Our waiter never addressed by our name, when he spoke he was always in the middle of doing something service oriented and would turn his head away from us and we couldn 't hear what he was saying and getting drink refills was a joke. The service was VERY SLOW with no explanation and the restaurant was filled with under dressed people and children. I cannot believe the people who would spend that kind of money on a Sunday night dinner... "Ruth's Chris or McDonalds tonight, Honey?" The food was great, service stunk... and it felt like a hotel restaurant~
