   Service was subpar and waiter Mathew was rude. My Ribeye was overcooked and Mathew just brushed me off. Much better experience at Capital Grill.

   This was a wine tasting dinner. While the food and wine were good, we were appalled when the bill was presented. Besides the $130.00 per person for the dinner, Ruth’s Chris tacked on a banquet and gratuity charge of $46.24 and then a service charge of $54.40. This was totally outrageous and ended what should have been an enjoyable dining event on a very sour note. To top it off, the “complimentary “ valet was $8.00 for moving our vehicle no more than 50 yards. Extremely disappointed with all the additional charges and will not attend another dinner.

   Everything from our welcome and check-in to our service and meals was impeccable! My husband and I were there for my birthday dinner and I was told Happy Birthday by everyone who had contact with us, in any way, from our arrival to the moment we walked out! Looking forward to our next visit!

   Drinks were terrible. Club soda flat. So the Vodka, club and cran became Vodka and sparkling water. Forgot the cran and instead of making a new one, brought over a glass of cran and peligrino bottle for us to make ourselves. Ordered a Filet medium. Got end cut that looked terrible and was rare/medium rare. Sent it back and came out with a better cut of meat, but woefully undercooked. Server said to cut it up and sear it on the blazing hot plate. So had to make our own drinks, and cook our own meat. Manager came by once and said would check on us again at desert but never made another appearance. Another table sent their filet back and server indicated that Filets are hard to cook. I disagreed with him but obviously, the chef was having a tough night. Overall, a cluster of a night!

    We went for our 13th anniversary, we were seated at a table next to the windows, which overlooks the St. Johns River. The servers were excellent, and our waiter provided very timely service, not too much, not too little. As always, the food was incredible, and we even had some to take home. One of the best things is that we saw a pod of dolphins out in the river, just frolicking away.

    I made reservations for my husbands birthday. Arrived on time, still had to wait at least 5 minutes for table, no big deal. Everyone at hostess stand was nice and greeted us and wished my hubby a happy birthday. Got to our table, from there, I have no positive words. Long story short, it took 25 minutes to get someone to bring us water and bread. We never once saw our waiter. Several waiters walked by and tended to every table around us, however, not once did anyone acknowledge we were even there. After 30min, I did go to hostess and ask to speak with manager who offered to move our table to an area with "better waiters". But at that point my hubby was livid and wanted to leave, and it was his birthday. When you go to a nicer establishment you expect the best. Our experience was awful.

    This was a planned date night for myself and husband and we were ready for some good food and drinks. Everything was great. Seating area with view of the riverfront was romantic and the waitress Bree was very friendly and professional and very helpful with our requests.

    Service was excellent. Appetizers and salad were good Dessert was good The porterhouse steak was over cooked and very tough on the strip portion. It had a big piece of gristle running through the steak. We were tight on time, headed to a show or I would have sent it back. I also did not complain to Server or Management. You go to Ruth’s Chris for a great steak and that’s not what we experienced this time.

    The food ok & not worth the price they put on it. Our server, Nic, was never around and when he did show up he would sneak up, startle us, and almost whisper in my fiancé’s ear. Probably the most strange and underwhelming $200 I have ever spent.

    First time we were disappointed in our meal. The steak, shrimp and fish were all overcooked. We didn't bring to waiters attention because of another engagement we needed to leave for. Time between salad and entrees was over 20 minutes. Just not a great experience. Waiter was apologetic and polite.

    Party of 5 for my husband's birthday:Food and service not up to your standards. Chaturbahu w/reduction best food at table, crab cakes tasteless and ordered rare steak served well done, baked potato cold, lobster overcooked. scalloped potato :PERFECT, asparagus /Perfect I was so embarrassed by my guess's food being just awful and servers ignored request for Sauces. We have always chosen Ruth Chris for our special dining, but go elsewhere after the evening 3-24-23.

    Ian was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable of both the menu and the history of Ruth Chris. My Vieux Carre cocktail was spot on. Food (steaks) were delicious. Perhaps a little overdone but I would be "splitting hairs". A very nice upscale restaurant.

    Service was very slow. An hour past between the time we ordered and the time our meal was served. Server was polite and apologized for "the kitchen being slow" but the length of time it took to serve our meal was excessive. I've been to this location several times and always had a good experience so I'm sure I'll return to try again.

    This will be the first time I complain about our dining experience at this location, and we usually dine here once a year. Not sure why our reserved table was not immediately ready once we arrived on time for our 6PM reservations, but it took less than ten minutes to seat us. All was going well through the time we got our food. The steak I ordered was the ribeye medium rare, but was more on the medium side, but I did not bring it to anyone’s attention and just dealt with it. After the meal, however, was when the dissatisfaction came with our overall experience, as it took nearly an hour for the check to be brought to the table and we were not checked on by wait staff during that time period. I get it - everyone has “off days” when things are not going right, but for such an establishment as respected as Ruth’s Chris we definitely expected more during our $630 pre-tip bill, on which we tipped $120.
