Went with party of six for birthday celebration. Food and service were both awesome. Restaurant is a bit loud so it was hard to hear conversation. Still, if you want an awesome steak or crab cakes, there isn’t any better place!
THE SERVICE WAS AVERAGE. ALTHOUGH THE RESTAURANT WAS ALMOST EMPTY WHEN WE WALKED IN, IT TOOK THEM 7-8 MIN FOR THE WAITER TO COME TO US.
Food was excellent, as was the service. Portions were generous.
We had a very pleasant meal Sunday night. However, we prefer the steaks at Morton's Steak House. We felt the steaks arrived on a hot plate floating on butter. Not to our taste. There was really nothing that I could point to that was in any way outstanding. I'd give the meal a rating
Not only was our server top notch but the food came out amazing. I got the NY Strip which was absolutely perfect and very flavorful. My wife got the Filet with twin lobster tails (Restaurant week) menu. She was loving the lobster as she has been disappointed in the past. I am not a huge lobster fan myself but I found the lobster quite amazing. Overall great food. It was pretty noisy but most of the noise came from one table celebrating a birthday. I definitely will be coming back.

Our Experience at Ruth Chris was a very Pleasant one. The Steaks were amazing as usual. No one in our Party complained about their steaks. The bread was fresh. Salads were good. Mashed potatoes were just right. We like to add the mushrooms on the side. The Red wine that we paired with our dinner was Excellent. We ended up with 2 bottles. The only complaint that we had was that we had to ask to lower the lights because it was glaring. Also, it was very warm in the room. Wasn't sure if that was because we were full or if there was too many people in the room but it was pretty warm. Overall we enjoyed ourselves.
This place it little bit pricey for regular menu, but during happy hours and OC restaurant week, they have good deal.
Deliscious food as usual!! Initially we were disappointed at location where we were seated; we had indicated we were celebrating our anniversary and they seated us next to a table of 4 who were loud and obnoxious - using very filthy language. We asked to move and we were moved quickly; we appreciated this but wondered why this group of 4 were tolerated st all! Unlike a Ruth's Chris classy atmosphere!

We went to Ruth's Chris to take advantage of their special OC Restaurant Week menu offering. We had been there before and had high expectations for the food quality and service. My family all ordered their filet mignon cooked differently...one medium rare, one medium and one medium-well. Unfortunately, there wasn't much difference in the look of the finished steaks. The medium well was a thinner cut and the medium rare was slightly more pink in the middle but, other than that, they all looked and tasted about the same. The steaks there are always delicious but, for the price you are paying, I would think they would be cooked more correctly than the way we received ours. Other than that, the rest of the food and the overall experience was good. We will go back, but only when we can get the more affordable prices during OC Restaurant Week.

The mood for steak struck, and Ruth's wasn't too far away. My date and I were greeted warmly by hostesses, and waited~15 minutes for a table. Our server was a delightful silver-haired woman who helped us feel relaxed, answered questions, delivered food promptly, and checked in on us without interrupting conversation - an art in itself. We spent $100 each, but our steaks were cooked and seasoned to order.
My rare ribeye was perfect. My date's medium-well petite ribeye was either overseasoned, or had lost too much of the flavor during cooking, which made her regret not having hers rare as well. The steak made a great breakfast the next morning. We will be returning.

Exceptional every time! Five star dining at it finest. We were there for three hours. Never rushed. Food prepared perfectly. Cocktails and wine options are perfect.
We went to the restaurant for my wife's birthday and ordered from the regular menu even though it happened to be restaurant week in Orange County. Our waiter wasn't very friendly and didn't offer any description of the menu offerings. The table next to ours had a much better waiter who offered a number of suggestions. MY wife and I both ordered the filet mignon as our entree. My wife's steak was about 30% fat, not what you expect from a upscale steakhouse. We eat at Fleming's, the Palm and Del Frisco's pretty regularly we have never had a steak of such poor quality as the one at Ruth's Chris. Very disappointing especially since it was my wife's birthday.
As always, enjoyed our visit to Ruth's Chris. Food was great. Service was excellent. Staff in general makes it a worthwhile experience.
This Irvine location missed the mark in several areas. As we were seated at our table, the hostess sprinkled confetti on our table since we were celebrating our anniversary. We noticed that more than half of the bits said "happy birthday" and mentioned it to her, but she just said "well, they get mixed up sometimes!" Our server was not warm or friendly, and it seemed she was having a very irritated evening overall. Our $56 ribeye steaks were not tender, and the mushrooms just tasted like they were boiled in wine water. When you spend this kind of money, you anticipate a lovely experience, and this location did not deliver. We do endorse the Ruth's Chris restaurant in Rancho Mirage, which offers a wonderful experience all around.
The menu for Restaurant Week includes a $80 option this year. I order the 16 OZ ribeye. The piece of meat is thinner than normal cut. I ordered Medium Rare, the meats came out very light color on the outside. I am expecting a little burn on the outside.
Overall the food was good. The king salmon was delicious.
They only serve lunch on Fridays but worth the trip. Excellent food, as always. Lunch menu is flexible and you can even order off the dinner menu if you wish

The server Aaron was terrific, knowledgeable and very attentive. The food was perfectly delicious.
A little pricey to be able to go on a regular basis. But for a special occasion it was great.

how do you kill hamburger- order it med rare and it comes out over done-ask if they grill onions- no a slice comes on side- was answer hamburger was tasteless--
on plus side lobster bisque and fries good- there was no value in the hamburger, would have been happy to pay more for a juicy seasoned and flavorful burger
We had an excellent meal and our waiter Carter could not have been more attentive. Louise was also always available to help. Steaks were perfect and cooked as we Loire them. Great evening.
First time to this particular location and it lived up to the standard you would expect from Ruth's Chris.
As always Ruth's Chris never disappoints! My son's favorite spot for his birthday. We enjoyed the chopped salad, swordfish special and steak filet. Our server was excellent. We had brought an older bottle of wine to enjoy and the cork was being stubborn and she persisted and we were able to enjoy it with our dinner. Excellent food and service - everything you want for a special celebration!
The food is always wonderful when we come but we had an even better time when post-celebrating Valentines Day. The servers were so great to my daughter, very accommodating and even asked if they could bring her an ice cream with a candle on top because they heard us talking about her upcoming 3rd Birthday. Really just so sweet of a gesture and my daughter was thrilled.
Celebration of my husbands 60th Birthday with the family. We had an amazing evening as always with remarkable food. The service was incredible. Melanie was our extraordinary waitress and Dylan close by to keep our glasses filled and leftover boxes full. Thank You!! We are never disappointed at Ruth’s Chris.
Waitress could have been more sensitive not to disturb the conversation. She asked how we were doing several times, but always cutting our sentence.
Best place for a good steak of any choosing...the atmosphere is really nice and quiet...only thing I did not care for was where we were seated, in the middle of the, I'm gonna call it doorway...very uncomfortable as people bumped my chair getting through to their tables...not a good place for a table if your gonna have people walking right past you...other than that...the waiter was wonderful and recommended a wine for me...
Ruth Chris never disappoints! We love coming here, the food is amazing, the service is great! All around our evening was perfect!
Dined for Valentine's Day. Ordered Surf 'n Turf, lightly charred medium rare and my wife ordered a Filet, almost medium done . My wife received my steak and I received her steak. We expressed this mix up to the waiter and he insisted it was correct. The manager comes shortly after to check and we again express the mix up. He requests me to cut into my steak and it is almost medium well done. The manager takes my plate and brings back another steak that is closer to medium rare, but not charred as I requested. My expectations were already gone. This has been my experience with Ruth Chris. INCONSISTENT. At $50-$70 a steak, you should be the most consistent place around.
