This place was great. The calimari was just right and the filet was tender.
Great service, amazing food, and good atmosphere!!!
Fabulous food, great atmosphere.
We were celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary....service was overall ok due to the Colts game going on...but ambience really made the evening. We're regulars and said special occasion... let's try something different on the menu. Wish we'd not wasted our money. THERE ...is a definite need for the chef to learn how to properly prepare Lamb chops. this was a flop and not worth the value for the entree. Menu stated the chops were marinated..NOT. they were charbroiled very quickly and not grilled...came out a hot greasy tough burnt mess! should have been ashamed to serve that....no wonder...we did not get the table visit to see HOW the meal was.. other than the server. High expectation but left disappointed.
My husband and love going to Ruth Chris, we just celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary there! The service was excellent and the food was perfect!
I have eaten at RC many, many times. I almost always have exceptional service. However, last night was one of the worst services I have ever had from valet to dining.
I had the petite filet. I asked for medium rare and the steak was well done and medium around the edges and some of the center was medium rare. The flavor was ok. The sweet potato casserole was excellent. My companion ordered the turkey dinner and said it was good. The apple pie they sent home with us was very good.
Nice, calm environment for a holiday meal.
The restaurant was full on thanksgiving day, which was nice to see. Food was delicious, as usual. Always a go to place for a great steak
It pains me to write this review. Having eaten at Ruth’s Chris restaurants around the country, I have high expectations of the experience. Being from New Orleans...I have been fortunate to experience the original. We dined in your Downtown Indy restaurant on Thanksgiving Day. We ordered the traditional Thanksgiving meal. I should have known to stick to what Ruth’s Chris does best...steaks. The soup was tasty. The pumpkin cheesecake was delicious. The service was impeccable. However...we were seated at a tiny, obviously makeshift table at the entrance into what I guess was the entrance to the kitchen...blocking an exit. I’m sure it was set up to help with the Thanksgiving crowd. Except it was 2:15 and not much of a crowd. I had a front row view of waitstaff constantly walking in and out, plating bread, boxing leftovers etc. The entree itself was far from what I would expect at Ruth’s Chris. The turkey was a few slices of processed, pressed turkey...not sliced or freshly baked. It arrived lukewarm and appeared to have been prepared for some time. My husband’s stuffing literally had a burned crust on it, as if it had been scraped from a pan. The gravy tasted like it was poured from a can. Wry disappointing. I won’t say we won’t be back...I know we will because this is one of our favorite places to eat. But next time we spend our Thanksgiving there, we will just order the steak.
This restaurant is the best in Indy. Christian is the best server around
Great place for special occasions like birthdays. Our waiter Mark was prompt with our order and service.
My husband and I reserved a table here for our anniversary and we had an amazing time . We are certainly returning !
It was great. The chocolate covered strawberry’s were awesome
The food and service was top notch I drove 2 hours just for dinner and was not disappointed!
The food and presentation was exceptional. The sides and desserts were amazing as well!
It was fabulous !!
We celebrated our Anniversary at the downtown Indy Ruth’s Chris and the entire staff went above and beyond to make our night so special. And the food was amazing!! Thanks to all for making our special night perfect!
Everything was very good. We had a really good time and the food was spectacular.
AWESOME AS ALWAYS!!!!
As always, we had amazing food, good service, and a wonderful experience!
We love the downtown location. We made reservations and I was disappointed with the table location where we sat. It was just up the stairs and immediately to the right. Previously the hostess stand was there. There’s way too much traffic there. We didn’t complain as we just don’t like to do that. We brought our two older granddaughters for their very first time eating at Ruth’s Chris. I feel the hostess’s were going to offer that table to anybody and everyone who came in till that table was taken. We’ve been coming there for years, We have often requested Lafayette or Marten however we’ve had Mike a few times and he’s an excellent server. He did a great job for us. Next time I will be specific about our table location. Also, the noise level was a bit much!
Our server, Mike, in the bar area, remembers us and treats us like friends at dinner.
My boyfriend and I came in to celebrate our anniversary and had a fabulous time. Our server was Jamal. He and the other attendants were great! They definitely went the extra mile and we so appreciated it. It's the little details like reminding the guest to guard their clothes as the hot plates are being placed on the table that I was surprised with. You don't receive that type of service everywhere. The timing of the courses was impeccable too. While the restaurant started to fill up as we were leaving,we never felt rushed. Everything was fabulous and we had a great time!
We were celebrating a family birthday. We had a fabulous time! Our server, Rachael, and the rest of the staff ensured that our experience was excellent! The food was wonderful. Even the valet parking staff was a pleasure! We will definitely be back.
Excellent as usual. Perfect steaks, yummy sides, impeccable service.
Saw part of Elton John's band eating at the table right next to us. That was a nice bonus. Love this place.
Very Nice celebration of our anniversary!
I ordered a bone in New York steak, and what was brought to me was a ribeye then the server graciously returned to bring out the Bone in NY steak, which was supposed to be medium and was brought out medium on the outside and very rare on the inside.
The quality of food was the best at any Ruth Chris that I have been to so far. The filet mignon was tender and very flavorful and the ribeye was cooked perfectly. The service was good. The server was a bit snobbish, but still provided good service. His assistance was great. I have been to 5 different Ruth Chris throughout the U.S. and this one ranks as one of my favorites (tied with San Francisco).
we very much enjoyed our evening - the food was excellent, our service was excellent and we will be going back
Great meal wen du or my husband’s retirement
Reservations were ok but I was not able to indicate that I was coming with children. Even so, upon seeing us they should have realized not to seat us in the bar area.
Waiter did not bother to ask if we were celebrating anything. We were, as it happened. It stood out to us as other people were seated near us and other wait staff asked that question of their tables.
Food was good for what it was but $300 for steak and potatoes (not even any vegetables) is silly.
We ended up feeling we would have had a much better evening going somewhere else like Season's 52, we've done well there.
Both men’s restroom lacked paper towels and facial tissue, while women’s restroom was scarce on TP throughout the night.
Was nice. Service was excellent! Food was very good!
Very expensive but worth it occasionally. This visit ruined by 4 loud drunk guys next to us. Wait staff didn’t quite them down. 4 businessmen in nice suits should know better.
NY strip steak was tough, I've had better at Outback. Service was slow, and we were one of only 3 diners in the whole place.
Excellent service !
