The steak was excellent as always. But the service was suspect and the top billing Ruth Chris operates under is not met in all aspects of the restaurant. I want the steak, the service and the mood to be professional first grade all the time.
went for anniversary--great for special occasion but have enjoyed dinner there also for a plain weekday night
Was never asked if I needed another beer, waiter wasn't very attentive. Also, in reservation it asks for and special requests and I asked a note to be left on the table to my wife which didn't happen. Food was great, feel me and my wife were looked down on because we are younger and it might be too expensive? Not sure, but I am sure we could afford to eat there every night of the week if we wanted too. A little more hospitality would go a long way.
Really like the restaurant. We will visit again to get a better experience but different location.
This is the first time I will leave less than a five star review for Ruth's. The service and atmosphere was very good as always. However, my 12oz filet was under-cooked and full of gristle. I was with friends and did not want to cause a scene or disrupt our otherwise awesome evening. According to my guests , their food was excellent. As stated earlier, this was my first less-than-perfect experience at Ruth's. I will absolutely give them another chance.
I was so disappointed in my food. I should have said something when we were there but we had waited a while for our food and it was my husband's birthday.
I asked that my filet NOT be butterflied, yet it was and was cooked way too done and was tough and dry.
Amazing experience! We had amazing servers who made sure that we had any and everything that was needed for us to enjoy our dining experience!
Great service and good food.
The steak was good but it did not come with any sides. You had to purchase them separately. I thought if you paid over $50 for a steak it should come with a side. It was not worth the money
Our group was there early before an event at the VBC...we met at 5:00 and didn't have to be at the VBC till 7:30. Our service was less than par. The waiter was nice but our service was lacking. One of our group didn't get her drink after she ordered it for over 30 minutes. We had to ask another server and then waited again. Her meal came much later than the other three of us. The place is nice and the food was very good but the service was very disappointing. This particular friend was not charged for her drink but would have probably had more than the one if things had been differently and her meal had come earlier. I would consider coming again but if it happened again, would not return and would not recommend. This was my first time at the new location but being honest...wasn't impressed and hated that I wasn't and that it just didn't go smoothly. Maybe just an off night but was really looking forward to eating here and visiting the new restaurant location. ;)
I hate to write this review because I love Ruth’s Chris all over the country. But on Sat night my daughter, grandson and I went in for dinner after leaving Huntsville Hospital. I’ve eaten there 4-5 times in the last two weeks while my husband was in ICU. We had an 8 o’clock reservation. Waiter seemed new or distracted. He got the order wrong and my grandson’s salmon came out as a filet. He does not eat red meat. It took 30 min to get it corrected and we had finished our meals by that point. And the salmon was still frozen in the middle. Waiter did not seem remorseful and Manager said sorry the waiter misunderstood the order!!!
No comp or reduce bill and it was a poor experience!!! Since it was my 25 year old grandsons introduction to Ruth’s Chris He said next time we’ll stick to Cajun Steamer next door. They’re awesome!!!!! So $1000 later I might agree!!!! Sad review ~~~
It is with great regret that I write the following. Nonetheless, my anticipation of a flavorful steak was brought to an abrupt halt, upon my first bite. I was left with a feeling of not receiving the expected level of taste when compared to the cost of my $47 dollar steak. Though the cook and quantity of the steak was very good, there was absolutely no flavor - I have had better for much less. I do not plan to visit another Ruth’s Chris.
The steak was cooked to perfection and the ambiance was nice
The service was wonderful and the food was even better. We especially enjoyed the lobster tails with our steaks.
Took my wife out for a late Valentine’s date since the kids had activities in the 14th. She had never been to Ruth’s Chris so I thought this would be a good opportunity. Food is good, although I think overpriced for what it is. The disappointment is this location is the ambience. Just an open dining room, not very intimate. More suited to a business meeting than a romantic night out.
It was my first time there and it was wonderful! The food was great. The waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful.
I took my wife, granddaughter and one of her friends for a Friday night Valentine's dinner. We had a great time and the granddaughter's friend had never been to R.C. before. She absolutely loved it!
Service and food quality are amazing. The steak is absolutely melt-in-your-mouth tender and delicious. It's definitely one of it not my favorite place to eat. My only complaint is the size of the restaurant and availability of booths. There are only 3 booths in the dining area, and, even with a reservation, you could be waiting an hour or more before being seated if the booths are not vacated at the estimated time.
However, the food and service once seated are always top notch and make up for the wait.
Steak was good, Chilean Sea Bass was not. Not sure if it was cooked completely or not.
Was in town with my daughter and my mother in law for the dwts tour live. I wanted to treat them to a nice dinner and this didn’t disappoint.
The Caesar salads were perfect. The steaks (filets) were perfect. The creamed spinach and potatoes were delicious. Our waiter was attentive and prompt but not overbearing. I have never had a bad meal here.
Don is an excellent server. Food was great as always!
Highly overrated. Food or experience not worth the cost.
Bar staff was excellent.
Dustin did a great job making the evening special.
We had a great evening celebrating two friends' birthdays. The food and drinks were wonderful. The lounge side had a happy hour and a fun table for us. It made for a fun girls' night out!
One of our favorite places to celebrate. Rodney, our waiter, was fabulous. He is knowledgeable and has s great sense of humor. The food was great. Don’t miss the Apple and butternut squash salad.
Outstanding as always. The best part about the entire evening was when the waiter kept referring to our anniversary while he attended to us. Such a great steak and the atmosphere cannot be beat. Highly recommend to anyone looking for prime beef in Huntsville.
Very pleasing. Noise level was moderate after 7:00 p.m., refusing an in-depth conversation that would’ve been much desired.
Great food and good atmosphere, wait staff was good and not too crowded
My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 39th anniversary somewhere special, and for us, that is Ruth's Chris. We celebrated our anniversary there a couple of years ago, mans we really enjoyed the experience! We will be back!
We are from Louisiana. We are visiting our son in Huntsville. The service was fine but the food at this Ruth Chris Steakhouse was just not as flavorful as the Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Baton Rouge.
I want to thank the staff for accommodating my lady’s birthday. It was her first time eating at Ruth Chris. She was very pleased with the service Steve and his staff provided. They made it a warm and comfortable atmosphere, also arranged seating for our guests. Thanks we will be back soon.
We were seated for a table of six at the entrance/exit of the kitchen. It was a bit busy and disrupting.
Waiter was excellent. Great recommendations for dinner course.
They honored all of our requests for this special occasion meal. Special thanks to our server, Shaun, who took exceptional care of us and paid attention to every detail.
Had an excellent experience start to finish. Met at the curb by Kevin the valet who was funny and helpful. Donny at the bar made EXCELLENT drinks for us while we waited. Our primary waiter was Shaun (sp). Very helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. Make an excellent wine suggestion based off our description of preferences that we absolutely loved. Checked on us regularly and obviously knew his business. Cedrick and Gabe (server and busser) also helped us out a lot. Then Keith, the floor manager, also tended to us quite a bit. (Sorry if I misspelled any names). Every one of these gentlemen were friendly, knew what they were talking about, were completely professional and made the dining experience very enjoyable. NOW, to talk about the food! We've dined at several different Ruth's Chis around the country and I can tell you this was one of the best experiences we have had. The steaks were phenomenal as always! Excellent (I keep using that word.....should say something!) cuts of meat that were cooked exactly as we asked. The sides were perfect as was our appetizer. I don't have a single negative thing to say about the food! If I had to say one somewhat negative thing about the experience overall, I would say I didn't like the chairs..... the back rest sat just a little too high for me. That was it! Everything else completely top notch!
Our Service was excellent. We had some of the best cocktails that we've had in a while. the atmosphere was perfectly quiet. Although, to be fair, we were dining during the national college football championship game. However, the food was cooked to perfection and we were greeted by name at the door. I couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly.
Have had dinner there twice in last month or so. First time not so bad. Wife enjoyed her salmon. I got the Petite filet. It was not tender at all.
Had dinner their Friday night. Wife ordered salmon again well done., it was like it had been cooked no more than five minutes. Almost raw. I ordered the barbecue shrimp appetiser as my meal and got the $30 shrimp with some grit cakes as I understand they were. Terrible pasty texture.
10 small shrimp and pasty cakes. $30. Shrimp obviously not fresh.
One of the managers came buy and ask about our meal. He did say we wouldn’ t be charged for the salmon.
Everything overpriced. $10 for a cup of corn, potatoes etc !!!!
Food and service was fantastic. The food was superb and was really too much to eat, but I wanted to try as much as possible. Yum, Yum! It was great.
Ruth's Chris is our family's favorite "special occasion" restaurant, and it has become a tradition of ours to celebrate all major occasions (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Birthdays, New Year, etc.) dining at Ruth's Chris.
Dinner was excellent but our table was too close to the kitchen (very noisy!).
