Ruth's Chris Steak House - Harrah's Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I are small eaters so we usually split an entree. We shared the petite filet and shrimp which is perfect for sharing. The flavor of the steak was awesome, although it was not as tender as we have had before and it was a little over cooked-instead of medium, it was almost medium well--perhaps because it is a smaller steak. Still the portions were perfect for us. Wine was very good, although my husband's glass was empty before dinner and we had to flag down our waiter to get refills. Still, all things considered, the food, ambience and service was good. Our table was by a window which was very nice.
We had eaten at Ruth's Chris the last time we stayed at Harrahs and had a nice experience, so we thought we would go there to celebrate a friends birthday dinner on our most recent trip. There were six of us in the party. When I made the reservation, I indicated that we were celebrating a birthday. When we were seated, there was birthday confetti on the table and we had a GREAT window view! It started out great. Our waiter greeted us and he seemed like he was in a hurry right from the beginning. We felt rushed to order drinks. We felt rushed to order dinner. We just wanted to have a relaxing and fun dinner. He didn't do anything "bad" ... We all just felt rushed. The dinner was completely mediocre. Our bill was close to $700 (with tip), and to leave more than half the food on the table was disappointing. One of the girls, couldn't eat the fish ... something about it was not right. It was like mush and it had a VERY strong smell. The people on the other side of the table could smell it. I've never sent food back, but in this instance, I didn't feel like we should get stuck with a bad fish. Our waiter had it removed from our bill. Sadly, I don't think we will be returning. It really was too pricey for the food that was just so-so. I can cook a more flavorful steak than what I had.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal here before attending a show. This was our splurge meal! Service was fantastic - friendly and attentive! Filet was superb - cooked perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed all our food. And had a wonderful window seat overlooking Las Vegas Blvd! Perfect!
Service was bad, very nice people but no face time. Food came out of kitchen in a strange fashion, it left one of us eating in front of the other without food. Did not clean table after meal, had coffee and desert amongst the crumbs of our main course and bread. Overall the food is still as good as ever, but the service did not stand up as before.
Good food, Las Vegas prices
Terrible service. Had a reservation for 8 person at 19:30 hours, 3 person of our party were late due to traffic. We were not seated until our party was complete.
Even we asked to be seated, request was rejected "because it is our policy". So 5 person had to wait for 20 minuntes. Once we were complete, it took another 10 min to prepare our table. Absolutely unacceptable for business dinner !
Ruth's Chris is definitely my favorite steak house in Las Vegas. Most of the others where I've dined have been pretentious and stuffy. I do not enjoy having staff look down their noses at me because I am not a "rock star." Ruth's also has the best presentation as their plates are heated so hot that they keep the steak at a nice temperature. They have the best creamed spinach I have ever had.
Love Ruth's Chris and have been there many times over the years. This trip could have been nicer if the server offered us an additional plate to share the Caesar salad, instead of just walking off when we said we were sharing it. We had to use our bread plate, while other tables around us were offered regular salad plates. Otherwise, great but pricey.
We went for a late dinner after a show and everything was wonderful! The food at Ruth’s Chris is always consistently delicious no matter which location we visit. This location had a nice view of the Las Vegas strip (great for people watching) but a nice, quiet atmosphere inside. Our server, Patrick, was exceptional as well! Would definitely recommend.
Let me start by saying that we've been to Ruth Chris Steak Houses in many locations and almost without exception, we've had good experiences. We also ate numerous times at The Range before it was converted to a Ruth's Chris. And we always had great food and excellent service there. However, our two dining experiences at this Ruth's Chris have been disappointing. The service was fine in both cases, but the food wasn't. Both times, my steak came out incorrectly prepared. I know that a medium rare steak has a 'cool red center' .... not a squishy purple / red center. The last time we were there -- on New Year's Eve -- my husband's steak was properly prepared. Mine was squishy and purple inside. I sent it back and they then cooked it to medium well. So they then prepared a new one and it came out with gristle in several spots. Not what you expect for the price. But by then, my husband was almost done with his meal and I didn't want to send it back again so I just ate it. They did make the changes graciously but given the experience and the fact that it was New Year's Eve, I think it would have been appropriate to offer something else, whether a desert or to comp drinks or something. There are too many great steakhouses in Vegas for us to ever come back to this one.
This dining experience was celebrating our wedding anniversary. The food was obviously very good with a quality cut of meat and the portions large enough we shared our main steak entree and the large side of au gratin potatoes. Although our waiter tried, it was a busy night as he had a large group. Due to our wait in-between courses (drinks, appetizers, main meal and dessert) and having to wait for our cocktails to be refreshed, we got a round of free cocktails and dessert by the manager. Although it took a while with the wait (we got there at 6:15 and didn't leave until 8:45), it was still a good experience.
Great atmosphere and scenery. Floor to ceiling windows overlooking the strip. Food was great. First time I've ever been to a Ruth's Chris and didn't order a steak, I had the Sea Bass - it was outstanding. Service was a little slow and we had to wait even though we had a reservation but it was a Saturday night after a show.
Server was excellent in offering clients option in sharing without feeling "guilty" by explaining portion size. Sharing was a great way to enjoy food especially when one is travelling and taking leftovers is not a good option. It's a great feeling not to feel stuffed.
Worst steak I’ve ever had. Should have served a chainsaw to cut the Ribeye. Nothing else was special. Salad was same as any Walmart bagged green mix, mashed potatoes were bland, bread was dry. Laughable at how bad EVERYTHING was. Usually can find one redeeming quality to a meal.... Nope!
The service was fantastic, atmosphere was very nice, we had a good view of the Las Vegas strip. That being said, the price for our glass of wine was way off base and it looked like most drinks were. As for the food, I had lobster bisque and it was great, my wife had a baked potato, petite filet with shrimp and thought it was very good. I saw her cut pieces of the meat with her fork. I, on the other hand, had the tenderloin and it was hard to cut with a knife, it actually tore it rather than cut it, maybe it was a dull knife. I also had asparagus with Hollandaise sauce that was great. I thought for the price it should have been a lot better, we're glad we went, but I doubt if we'll make it back anytime soon.
