Ruth's Chris Steak House - Harrah's Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
We were celebrating my husband's birthday and enjoying a Valentines's dinner. Although there was a large crowd waiting to get tables, our reservation was smooth and our seating had a sweet and personal touch: Happy Birthday confetti and rose petals were on our table! Our server, Angie, was excellent!
Ombiance was perfect, service all around was excellent. Food was nothing short of incredible, steak was amazingly tender and cooked to perfection. Sea Bass just melted in your mouth and left you waiting for the next bite. So much good food, wanted to try more but we could only eat so much. A little on the pricey side, but in my opinion well worth the expense. I will definitely return for more. Thank you for an overall incredible experience.
We had a wonderful experience here. It was our 14th anniversary and they went above and beyond to make it special for us. We had a wonderful view of the Caesar palace light show. They laid flower petals all over our table and our server Jeff was excellent. Food was perfect and delicious. Overall we couldn’t be happier.
I was a little disappointed in the atmosphere that was taking place at the time we were at dinner, we went to Ruths for a fine dining experience for a birthday dinner and upon sitting at our table there were screaming children sitting not that far away from us. They continued to scream for quite some time while we were trying to enjoy our dinner. My steak came out closer to raw in the middle versus medium rare which was how i ordered it. The waiter offered to take it back but at that point I was already grossed out by it and my husband had already almost finished his meal I wasn't going to sit and wait for it to come back out and have to listen to the screaming children longer than we already.
Food was good but overpriced. The prices listed on the Harrah's Ruth Chris, on-line internet menu, was lower than the pricing on the actual menu in the restaurant. AND, the amount charged on my actual bill WAS HIGHER than the pricing on the actual menu itself. No explanation why. They did lower my bill to equal their menu pricing.
Porterhouse for two was great tasting. Seasoned perfect, huge and very tasty. Au Gratin potatoes were way under cooked. Potatoes were rock hard, and could not be eaten. Should have been returned, but wife didn't want to make a fuss. Restaurant management needs to be replaced because we had a 6.15 reservation, arrived at 6.00pm sharp, and was told we had to wait with others till at least 6.15, while the restaurant was 75PCT empty. Others had to wait 30 minutes. Small bar was full, so couldn't even get a drink. Waiter informed me that there were twenty waitrons on duty, so there was plenty of servers. Kitchen wasn't backed up. No reason to keep customers waiting!!! We almost left after arriving. There are plenty of great $100+/person steakhouses in Vegas to eat at. When leaving around 7.30 range, again 30-40 potential customers still waiting with reservations, while the dinning room was still 50-60 % empty. A new management team would be able to turn the tables faster, instead of EMPTY TABLES !!! Not efficient at all, with a bad attitude. New manager would make customers happier, more sales for the servers, and a lot more sales and profit for the restaurant .
Waiter forgot to put in my order. Told me about it and I said no problem we're in no hurry. My meal came out 40 minutes after my wife's meal and the steak was raw(literally cold on the inside). My potato au gratin was also raw(like biting into a raw potato). I told the waiter that i forgive them and that I wanted a new steak, not the same one reheated. The steak came out burnt to a crisp( the same one) and the potatoes were still raw and cold. Told the manager he was very indifferent.
I love the food and the atmosphere is fantastic, you can see the entire strip from just about every table. However we had a 7:15 reservation and the hostess kept promising that our table would be available in 10 minutes, well that turned into 20 minutes with me going over to the hostess station 2 times. But it was worth the wait. Our waitress was a jewel and the steaks were tender and prepared exactly to order.
Went to my first Ruth's Chris in Orlando 1992. It has been my "go to" restaurant and ribeye ever since. Wherever I find them in my travels, a ribeye with cream spinach and au gratin potatoes is my dinner that night. The best, and my son Is a long time server at Hortons.
