Ruth's Chris Steak House - Harrah's Cherokee Casino & Hotel Ratings and Reviews
We were there celebrating my mother’s 77th birthday, the server acted as if it were his first night on the floor and was very distracted. Unfortunately, my mother’s steak was very under cooked and we received the wrong side dish. My family and I owned two restaurants for 12 years and I understand that mistakes happen but I fully believe these mistakes happened because the server seemed to have some issues with concentrating even though the restaurant was not busy. Luckily, other servers came and checked on us several times.
Made reservations for a special occasion and it was never acknowledged. What’s the point in asking if it’s not recognized? We ate at this restaurant 2 weeks ago and it was really good. Went back last night and it was totally different. The portion size of our steak was drastically reduced and the Wedge Salad was made with old wilted yellow lettuce. Last time we got 3 Shrimp with our filet and last night we got 1. Really disappointed in paying $100 for such a terrible meal. Unfortunately our special occasion was a bust on the dinner portion.
The server was great. Acknowledged our anniversary. Was very busy. Probably not enough servers for a night they had a big show. Patricia tried to c heck about a special Manhattan. I forgot the name. Checked and is Ruth's Manhattan. Think all locations would have and staff be aware of it. Chose the 3 course dinner as usual. The 1st course and desert were sub standard. The main course was not exceptional either. Had filet and lobster and both were just fair.
Our server must have been having a bad day, we have always had wonderful service. We had made reservations on the occasion that our good friends were married earlier that afternoon.
She took a rather long time to take our order, a really long time to bring my husbands 2nd glass of wine, then we ask for dessert menu and it took her over 10 minutes to bring the dessert menu, and when she did bring it we told her we immediately what we wanted and she wanted to clear the whole table before she went and turned in our order, i ask her to pls go turn in dessert order before she cleared table, we had waited so long for the menu it had kind of ruined our vibe and our patience, our husbands went ahead to casino and the new bride and i had dessert alone. If only it had been one thing i would not mention any of this, servers have a really hard job and i know they deserve praise, I still left a nice tip however i was embarrassed that i had talked up Ruth Chris to our newlywed friends.
Were seated 10 minutes before our reservation time. Very good waiter. Calamari was excellent as was the shrimp on mashed. Everyone else had a petite filet and all were prepared to specification. All in all other than someone having a NON-SERVICE DOG in the restaurant all was great. This Non-Service dog business has gotten out of control. I love dogs but not in a casino or restaurant.
We arrived at four minutes to 5PM and the hostess made us stand there for four minutes before she would seat us. The filet was supposed to me medium. Light pink. It was well done and dried out. The baked potato skin was black and dry. The server never came back to refill the iced tea. We had to ask for the service. Not a good experience. Very disappointed
First visit, staff and fare were excellent. The only issue was the drunken old man who fell between the tables while being seated. Of course this required the obligatory response by a medic, who had to loudly converse with the old coot to be heard over the noise of his buzz. He loudly proclaimed he had fallen in front of his room earlier also, however didn't need to go to the hospital. Judging by his girth and multiple medications he loudly proclaimed to be taking, he'll probably bother no one else in the near future. Once again, great visit, and we'll most certainly return.
Hostess seated a couple that came up after us and then when we asked why, she had given them our reserved table so started off badly. Then they seated us in the bar area. Meal was great, especially since there are few places for great food in Cherokee even at Harrahs. Service was mediocre and waitress actually put our bill down and walked away for at least 15 minutes and started seating people instead even though the restaurant had hostesses for that. We had to ask the person cleaning tables to actually go and get her. Weird experience.
Service lackluster as usual, they do not seem inspired probably because they are going to get at least 15% of a rather large check without trying. We were served another tables food which was taken away when we pointed that out, then they brought out our food before even finished appetizer and salads imposing to take unfinished food to make room for main course. The food is good but not worth the price, would not eat there if we did not get meal comped from casino.
As we were celebrating our 30th anniversary and my husband's birthday, the restaurant had decorated our table and gave us fun desserts. Our meal was delicious. The only negative was that my husband didn't like the Steakhouse Martini....not a fan of rosemary in his drink!
Our waiter was very helpful in suggesting that I could cut down on the salty brine added their steaks after I mentioned that I found their steaks at other locations too salty . It proved to be the exact formula for us to thoroughly enjoy our meal. Thank You Patrick
