Ruth's Chris Steak House - Harrah's Cherokee Casino & Hotel Ratings and Reviews
Very good food, also good service, food was on time. Good selections in a variety of food. I will return again the next time staying in Cherokee. The lighting was very dim, I used my phone light to read the menu! My wife said because I am old! The fillet mignon was very delicious and tender. I left feeling happy with my overall experience ! Not to mention full. Thanks, Thomas E.
My credit card was charged the bill of the table of 12 sitting behind us. I pointed this huge error out to our server, Ampara, who assured us it had been reversed and would not appear on my credit card. She lied. So now I have had to waste hours of my time filing a dispute claim with the credit card company, BBB, and potentially an attorney. They overcharged me by almost $1,000.
We had the pleasure of having Jessica as a server last Friday night. She was so knowledgeable, and even with our questions she was patient and knew every answer. She was friendly and efficient. The hostess staff as well was particularly proficient. The food was outstanding. Ruths chris Cherokee never disappoints. Thank you all!!!
Ruths Chris never disappoints. The food is always good, but the service is consistently exceptional. This location is embedded within the casino floor, so it doubles as a quiet retreat from the noise and chaos of gaming. Certainly a step above the other dining options at this location. This is not fast food, so if you're looking to get in and out quickly, look at the other dining options at Harrahs Cherokee.
The staff was friendly from arrival to departure. The wait staff was very informative & was sure to make sure all of our needs were met throughout the meal. I had The stuffed chicken which was delicious & my husband had the filet & he said that it was by far one of the best steaks that he’s had. We can’t wait to return! Nothing beats a great atmosphere & awesome food!
Exceptional. We celebrated our anniversary and the food and service were fabulous. The only negative was fried lobster appetizer. It was extremely small and unimpressive for cost. My husbands ribeye was great and my tuna steak was excellent. Service was outstanding. Pricey but worth it for special occasion.
The only redeeming thing about our experience was the support staff, Barbie and she is sole reason for fair overall rank. She was extremely pleasant and sweet. When first sitting down and asking our waitress, Jessica what beers they had, she gave a few selections - Mich Ultra, Heineken - we then asked whether there were any crafts - she said said 'a pale ale, a blond ale', etc. but offered no more detail. We then asked what brewery? It appeared we were bothering her by asking for specifics. My husband and I both like craft beers and not your run-of-the-mill offerings. First ding against her service. I ordered my steak medium - it came out well done. The food runner slung my husband's food on the table so fast, the butter flew off the plate onto his cashmere sweater - no apology. Our server basically came to the table to get our drink order and to bring the check. We had a small to-go box which Barbie did mention had gotten butter on the outside - I appreciate her letting me know but next day I noticed grease stains down my brand new Patagonia jacket from where the bag touched my jacket in the car. :( Very disappointing for the $ you pay to try and get a good meal and service.
My wife and I have dined at several Ruth's Chris Steak House restaurants and this was no disappointment. Salads and dressings were delicious. My wife had the 16 ounce ribeye and I had the bone-in filet. Mine was not quite done enough, but our waitress took it back and it came out perfect. Augratin potatoes and brussel sprouts were also good. We finished the meal with creme brulee which was great. Service was also very good. The only negative was having to walk through cigarette smoke in the casino to get to the restaurant.
I truly enjoyed the food, however the waitress came over one time. I had to get her attention an additional time regarding the salad dressing. Next, after the salad was replaced, she never returned. She didn't ask me how my stuff chicken was or did I need anything else. I had to flag down another server to get to go containers. I then requested the manager (Hanna), and shared my feedback. She mentioned that she would speak to the server. I received no discount or offer for dessert due to the lack of stellar food service.
This was not the first time dining at Cherokee, NC Ruth Chris. This trip was a Birthday Dinner for my Wife. I must say that we love going to this restaurant, this was the first time the food was NOT as good as it had been. The steaks we both had were tough, the baked potato seemed to taste like a leftover & not freshly baked. The bar drinks we ordered were not what we ordered, they were sent back and we received other bar drinks that were also sub standard and over loaded with Vermouth.
I might also say that this was a birthday dinner, we were NOT given ANY type of birthday desert as we did in past experiences at this same location.
I will comment on our Waiter/Server, Akaba, he did his best to provide good service but the Bar failed him twice and the Chef provided a horrible piece of Filet on both ordered. When you are billed $140.29 for a dinner for two, you would expect a much better meal.
Overall we were very disappointed in the Ruth Chris at Cherokee, NC.
Ruth's Chris never disappoints, especially at the Harrah's Cherokee venue! Special shout out to Lindsley who runs the Reservations/Reception Desk and Ampara who is one of their best waitstaff. Awesome ambiance; great pre-fixe menu options and their wine list is one to be matched at all price points.
Our server had no idea how to assist with bottle selection. Wanted a red wine pairing recommendation for their steaks that wasn't an Argentinian blend, but thats exactly what he recommended. Oh well- the steak was awesome.
We were there celebrating my mother’s 77th birthday, the server acted as if it were his first night on the floor and was very distracted. Unfortunately, my mother’s steak was very under cooked and we received the wrong side dish. My family and I owned two restaurants for 12 years and I understand that mistakes happen but I fully believe these mistakes happened because the server seemed to have some issues with concentrating even though the restaurant was not busy. Luckily, other servers came and checked on us several times.
