Great spot to visit while in Grand Rapids. Steaks and service is always consistent and very good! Cant wait to get back
excellent food and service, thank you, we're glad we came here!
Everything was delicious, service was great! My date had steak and I had crab cakes. We shared the sweet potato caaserole for desert (even though it was a side). It’s expensive but worth it.
Salmon was very undercooked but the waiter and manager took it back and returned it cooked to perfection and delicious. Crab tower appetizer and petit filet were fabulous!
Great service and great food!!
Everything was absolutely splendid!
The clubby atmosphere combined with excellent, simple (and plentiful) food continues to hit it's mark. It's comfortable and relaxing. I say this because the previous week, sitting a hip (and equally as expensive) restaurant, there was literally six inches between tables, so it's good to get a little elbow room for a fine meal.
Only negative was a guy watching a video on his phone so loud have the restaurant could hear, replete with a phone call over speaker phone. The manager quietly approached and tactfully handled. It was a difficult situation that she made quietly disappear. Honestly, I just want to say "thanks" for handling without anyone needing to say anything (or more aptly, us needing to say anything). That's the mark of good management and teamwork.
Overall great!! Room was a little cold
The service and food is OUTSTANDING !!! Not an inexpensive place to dine , but well worth it.
Repeat customers. We can count on the top notch service and food quality. Yes, it is expensive but you get what you pay for.
We were celebrating Easter.
We had a 6 pm reservation to which we arrived early. We were seated promptly while we waited for our friends however, we had to wait 10 minutes to be greeted by our server. Not a huge deal but after that it went even further downhill. The service was lacking and took an extended period of time to receive our food. Several tables that had been seated well after us had received their food before us but had ordered after we did. Very frustrating experience and disappointing especially since we had raved about this place to our friends who had never been there before. For the cost of the food and the long wait time, I doubt we will return.
Loved the waitress and the wine expert
It has been a long time since I've been to a Ruth's Chris. I've never been to this one before.
I had shrimp cocktail, petite filet medium rare, smokey chipotle-bacon fingerling potatoes, a nice French wine, and finished it off with vanilla ice cream with a good single malt Scotch.
Everything was wonderful. The cocktail sauce with the shrimp was a touch heavy on the horseradish, but the wonderful potatoes elevated everything. And of course, the steak was perfect!
The food was outstanding! Nicole, our server, did an amazing job! We truly enjoyed our 45th wedding anniversary celebrating with you folks at Ruth’s Chris! Well done!
Excellent! Every. Single. Time. Our favorite place to dine for every occasion.
My husband and I visit this restaurant fairly often. This particular occasion, we went for our anniversary. The guests were obnoxious and unruly. They were belligerent, cursing loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear, and even were disrespectful toward the staff. The manager was fabulous, but we ending up leaving prior to our food being able to be served.
Had a great anniversary dinner.
Great Experience...Service was outstanding. Can't wait to reserve birthday dinner next month😊
Just simply an excellent meal as usual. Very attentive staff servicing fantastic food. Even when they had a problem with the steak they fixed things quickly. A must when in Grand Rapids.
Excellent service. Food was very good. One of the better Ruth’s Chris experience we’ve had in years.
Best start I have ever had.
Joyce and Anna were fabulous. From start to finish, our dinner was another memorable Ruth's experience tgat continues to bring us back.
Two of us for an early dinner prior to the symphony. The food was fantastic - best crab cakes and french onion soup in Grand Rapids. Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly and highly enjoyable. Overall a great meal and great service. Apple Crumble Tort for dessert was a nice finish. With tip about $230 for the two of us so not inexpensive, but it was a very nice evening.
we have never had a bad meal and the service is always great.
Just enjoyed my birthday dinner there. Wonderful wonderful place to have a dinner of any type. Steak was cooked perfectly my dates chicken was just wonderful. Service was by far the best I've had in a dining establishment of this magnitude would recommend to anyone
My table did not order alcoholic beverages, and we did not get the service from our waiter like the other tables who did order alcoholic beverages. I have been here before and the first time it was amazing. My recent visit though, I would not come back.
Service was awesome!!!
Absolutely outstanding! The staff was friendly and prompt. Each course came at well timed intervals. I can't say enough about the quality of each and every item. We thouroghly enjoyed our entire dining experience. Thank you to everyone who works so hard to put together such a wonderful time and fantastic meal. You are all a truly class act!!
BDay. Friends. Blessed.
My sister and I don't see each other often enough, so this was a great place to get together when I was recently in GR for a conference. We were able to converse comfortably while having a perfectly served and delicious meal thanks to our server, Bryan (H.)!
Excellent service as always. Filets were done perfectly. Good wine selection.
Came here for my sons 21st Birthday and as always everything was 5 stars. Calamari was tasty and enough for the 5 of us. Drinks were superb. Steak was cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable.
We always enjoy our experience at this restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is second to none. The staff meets your needs without hovering. Highly recommend!
Our waitress was very polite. She checked on us frequently and made sure we had everything we needed
I am a fan of the chain but this night was very poor. Ordered my steak medium rare and when it showed up at the table, it was far from it and was actually closer to being alive. Against my better judgment I allowed the steak to go back to the kitchen. Upon it's I was expecting it to be done correctly and it still was just barely rare throughout. Not being a fool, it did not go back to the kitchen again and I cut the cooked parts out and went on. My wife's filet who was expecting medium rage got hers closer to well done. The wait staff was not on the game either as many request had to be made for items to show up at the table. At the end of the day when the bill comes close to 200 dollars for 2 people , I do not think it is asking too much for them to be on their game. Very disappointing and probably will not be back as a 200 dollar value for dinner can definitely be had elsewhere in Grand Rapids and get equal or more than you pay for.
Wife's bone-in filet was excellent. My bone-in strip was par....no where near what a prime/aged steak shouuld be :(.
The servers were all top notch which made for a very pleasant dining experience. We were not rushed at all. I appreciated the vegetarian option.
The food was outstanding, as was the service. For the reputation and cost of Ruth’s Chris, we would have enjoyed a quieter ambiance. The restaurant was very noisy and caused us to hurry through our meal to escape it.
Outstanding, one of the best nights and meals we have had in a long time.
