Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operated for the 38 years prior. She changed the name to Ruth's Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are 142 Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the globe. We look forward to our opening in Gaithersburg, MD.

    This place is still so consistent, I’m convinced they’re cloning cows and staff in the back — and if that’s true, make more Williams. This man wasn’t just a waiter; he was a menu maestro, a hydration ninja who refilled our drinks and checked up on us with regular cadence. He cracked jokes smoother than the creamed spinach, anticipated our every need like a hospitality psychic, and he and the FOH/Mgr (Mike I think) handled a slightly overcooked steak with the grace of a Michelin-starred diplomat. Great food, will return!

    The steak an shrimp comob was very good. The steak was cooked correctly . The mashed potatos and potatoes augrain were delicious. Our server didn't come and refill the drinks Didnlt ask if we wanted more bread. We did have a pitcher of cie water to refill the water. I ordred my salad with no onions and no croutons andIgot both. when the server brought it I told her I ordered the salad with no onions or crotons but she just set it down and left. I had to pick them out.

    Food and service was the best we’ve had at this location. They decorated the table for our anniversary. Henry was terrific. My only negative is the booths are not that comfortable.

    Our dining experience checked all the boxes for the place to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The welcome, the ambiance, and a lovely table setting that addressed the occasion prepared us for an enjoyable time. The waiter was kind, helpful, and attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent. I ordered steak, which I rarely eat, and I have no regrets. It was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. It's on the top of my list as a special occasion restaurant.

    Brussel sprouts were under cooked and flavor was not anything special. For the price I would expect better as I’ve had much better Brussel sprouts at other restaurants. They need a new recipe! Steak was good but overpriced! Ambience was great, quiet and private!

    Michel was a great server. Made the experience very nice and welcoming. And the team that helped him were likewise excellent. Steaks and sides are always excellent. Only disappointment was that scallops weren’t on the current menu.
