Overall fantastic meal and service. Never had to wait on refills or table clearing. The valet location was annoying, but when you spend $300+ what’s another $8 and a 200’ walk.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday. Clay was a fantastic server. 5 stars for Clay! Our food was great too.
Our server was amazing. We have been there multiple times the last two times we have come has not been good but this time was amazing. The noise was the table That was next to us nothing I could’ve controlled little girls just complaining about their meals very rudely. Server did amazing though will be returning soon
Perfect experience. Miguel was awesome and very attentive. Food was great. Very happy with our visit.
This was overall an unpleasant dining experience. The server was kind and pleasant and attentive, but the other elements of this dining experience left much to be desired. The layout and ambience of this restaurant are very poor. My husband and I expected to be in a large open room on the main floor and instead were put in a small room with 4 other tables. It was crowded and the lighting was poor. The chopped salad came out looking like a lettuce version of tuna tartar. It was tiny and disappointing. My husband sent it back. Our steaks were only mediocre. The best part of the meal was the spicy shrimp appetitizer. I could have skipped the rest. I asked for a cucumber garnish on my Hendricks gin and tonic and was instead given a lime. We will not be dining at this Ruth Chris location again.
This is my go to spot when I want a nice steak so needless to say, I was utterly disappointed with the level of service provided on NYE. Granted, we have lots of pressures with Covid and being able to staff correctly so I have an appreciation for that. I hope for a better experience next time.
Had to send back salad and steak but otherwise nice dinner
We had a fabulous New Year’s Eve dinner. Our server, Sam, was exceptional! We splurged and split the tomahawk and we are so glad that we did. Amazing!!!! We enjoyed the cheesecake with coffee and I don’t regret one calorie. Highly recommend!
Food was great. Miguel was our server, excellent service.
Our waiter Clay was very good. Very professional and helpful. Food was quite good. Steaks were cooked to our order, although I'm personally not a fan of the butter. Appreciated that he removed the coffee from our bill when I explained it was cold. He provided a replacement hot cup. Again, nice attention to detail. Also appreciated recognition of our anniversary. A solid steakhouse experience.
Had reservations for over a week asking for one of two specific booths. Did not get either one. Seated us at a large half booth and had to pry crayon out of cushion to sit down. Ordered steaks—medium rare, spinach and mushrooms. Steaks came out raw and sent back. One came back as we ordered, the other was still rare. Went back again and came a little overcooked but not bad. Spinach wasn’t too creamy and the best we have ever had. Mushrooms were very good but for the price, too small a portion.
The manager knew all that was happening and gave us a dessert, coffee and my glass of wine. Kudos for him!
We realize that all restaurants are struggling to hire help and what help they do have often don’t show up. Our waiter, Korey, was very professional and good.
Will we go back? Of course and by then, hopefully things will be back to normal.
My fiancee and dined in on Christmas, expecting an elegant holiday experience. Upon check in, the hostess greeted us and struggled to find our reservation. After about five minutes, we were seated and told our server Kayven would be with us soon. Ten minutes of waiting, we saw several waiters but none seem to be ours. So we stop the next person we saw to ask where was our server? After doing so, Kayven came over and introduced himself. After ordering, we never received any bread with our salads
We were then told they were out of potatoes so they brought our food without sides! we were advised there wouldn't be a charge for the sides since they were out and struggled to accommodate.
Our steaks were over cooked and dry,
Asked for bearnaise and was told again they were out but brought out some type of cajun bbq butter instead. After so many flaws the manager Brian apologized and said he would take care of our bill.
Which we didn't eat any of our food and just decided to leave after trying to enjoy an undesirable meal. I know Ruth Chris to be a nice fine dining restaurant , however we were very disappointed with our Christmas dinner.

Sam was the rudest most disrespectful server I’ve ever experienced in my life. With this being my first visit I asked him what the tuna stack was on the menu and he arrogantly responded “exactly what it says”. He then went on to say all he …More

Wonder Christmas experience!
the service was great and the ambiance and decor were definitely interesting and unique. food was average at best and i’m being generous. don’t waste your $2 on coffee - it was brown water. chicken enchiladas were great but carne asada was tough and pan fried panko crusted chicken was flavorless. tortilla soup was bland. eggs and ham were ok. this is basically an average tex-mex restaurant charging steakhouse prices.
The food was not as good as other visits were. Steaks were very good but sides were not the quality or taste expected. Lettuce was bitter in the wedge salad, mushrooms were too thick and wet in the appetizers.
The downstairs setting was dingy and uninviting.
Another great meal. They never disappoint. Highly recommend.
My wife and I ate our Christmas dinner and Ruth's Chris - something we have been doing every other Christmas now that we are empty nesters.
The food is always good and this past visit was no exception. My wife had the petite filet and I had the ribeye. We also enjoyed the lobster mac&cheese and the Brussel sprouts.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience!
Service was horrible. So disappointed I was looking forward to this dinner with family for weeks.
Our waiter made it clear to us that he was not happy working Christmas Eve. I would like a manager to reach out to me. What was supposed to be a nice dinner evening, was NOT because of poor attitude from server.
Just awful. Terrible service. Seated at 610, waiter showed at 700 the first time. Pretty much downhill from there. We were one of his TWO tables so it wasn’t he was swamped…
GaryM, so sorry to hear you had a disappointing experience. Your feedback has been relayed to our team.
Had a family group of 9 and everything went perfectly. Plenty of room around us so we hopefully did not disturb anyone else since we can get kind of carried away. Food was excellent the Sea Bass was awesome and the Tomahawk Steak was great.
Would definitely return for another meal.
have been to this particular location more than 10 times and it has gotten worse on each occasion. Tonight the hostess was leaning on her elbows at the front desk - not usual attentiveness - and the place was barely occupied which should have been warning signs. We ordered filets and the lobster mac n cheese. Though we ordered medium and confirmed warm pink center what we got was one blue steak and one rare steak. The lobster mac is apparently a new recipe because it tasted like queso with some lobster thrown on top and was just as soupy. (The kids at the table next to us didn't even eat their mac n cheese because it was so spicy!). When the waiter checked on our steaks he acknowledged that my sister's was not done but tried to tell me my red steak was pink like I had never eaten a Medium steak anywhere else. Mistakes happen but the superior attitude was not appropriate. I had ordered a glass of wine with my meal that I had to remind him about twice. We also ordered desserts to go - chocolate sin cake and bread pudding. We threw both away. The raspberry sauce was not included with the chocolate and the whiskey sauce was missing from the bread pudding - which was tough and chewy and definitely re-heated and not fresh. With so many excellent steak houses in the DFW area this is our last time at Ruth Chris. At $300 per meal for two people both our taste buds and our wallets will enjoy the change.
So sorry to hear you had a disappointing experience. Your comments will be shared with the rest of the team.
Very disappointing. Average steak. Server was disinterested. Felt like i was at an applebees
It’s one of favorites to have a special evening. Always great service and food.
Service was slow and erratic. Forgot many items.
Overall, it was a good experience. Service was slower than I anticipated. 30 minutes passed before we got water. Food took quite a while to come out. Drinks from the bar were also slow. Outside of that, the food was delicious and Verdell seemed like he was consistent with checking in on my party.
We were celebrating our Christmas meal with our daughter who lives out of town. She and my husband have always loved Ruth’s Chris. We arrived early and sat in the bar. It took 10 minutes before we were acknowledged when the bartender told us he was taking care of table orders. Once we got seated, the space was crowded and servers continually bumped my chair as they went into a banquet room to set up. Our waiter was virtually non-existent and never asked if our food was ok nor asked about drink refills. I had to ask twice for a water refill. My medium rare filet came out medium at best and continued to cook on the hot plate until it was inedible for me. Not once did anyone ask how our food or experience was. Chalking this up to poor management and lack of staffing in this economy but we won’t be going back to this location again.
We’re sorry to hear that we weren’t able to provide you with the best experience possible. We’ll look into this.
So nice very nice waiters
The service was excellent. Staff were attentive an accommodating. The food was delicious and the steak was cooked at the right temperature. Thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience
Mark our server was excellent, a true professional. Always enjoy Ruth’s Chris before a performance at Bass Hall, this occasion was the Nutcracker Ballet.
Our waitress was the best! Give her a raise. She went above and beyond to make our dinner very special with her outstanding customer service.
We had a bad experience upon arriving with the host, but after reporting the situation to management he made our experience tremendous and the rest of our time at the restaurant was phenomenal. Our waiter was amazing as well. Can’t wait to go back. :)
Still a classic - every dish was excellent and the service was stellar.
We eat out very often in many cities and countries - several of these establishments are fine dining restaurants. As far as steak houses go, we wouldn’t recommend this one, as there are many, other local options that have higher quality food, better preparation, more elegant ambience, and more experienced servers. Bartending and serving staff was very nice but seemed often preoccupied and not well-trained. Cocktails were mostly misses, and took an incredibly long time to prepare. Food was decent with a nice selection but the quality and preparation were definitely not worth the prices they charge or based on their national reputation. The restaurant is VERY loud, and there were dirty glasses and odd odors where we were seated in the basement dining room. In general, while not bad, we likely won’t be returning.
Maggie was our server and she was amazing. The food by far exceeded our expectations. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and could not have hoped for a better experience. Everything was perfect!
Our food was so good. Not one bad bite. Huge props to our server Dominic. Excellent server all night.
The food and service were amazing!
Went to celebrate our wedding earlier in the day and it was delicious, our server and the bar staff were so friendly and prompt with everything, and as always the food and drinks were PHENOMENAL. Our server even brought us a celebratory bread pudding which was so simple and delicious. Worth every penny.
Service at bar is bad and worst atmosphere for a steak house. Bar has the atmosphere and service of a Marriott courtyard
