Ruth's Chris Steak House - Fairfax
Decided to try Ruth's Chris for DC's Restuarant Week. Did not disappoint! Great menu, food and service!
Outstanding quality. A bit pricey but worth it. I had a mid size fillet cut. it melts in the mouth. Amazing cooking perfection and beef quality.
Nice place for special ocassions.
Atmosphere is quiet and romantic.
Food is delicious and all staff are very attentive.
I had a great first experience at Ruth’s Chris! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I’d highly recommend!
Had a beautiful Birthday dinner couldn't ask for anything better. The table was set Birthday day style and that was welcoming, i had a T-Bone steak was very tender and flavorful and the serving size was all of 24oz which was filling. The server was very good and he recommended some good drinks for us.
Great food and great service but it ran $150 for two people. We knew going in it wasn’t cheap so we were pleased overall
A perfect Birthday dinner with my husband.
Love Ruth’s Chris ! Our first time at Fairlakes and celebrated a birthday and anniversary here.
We usually go to Beverly Hills , Ca . The servings for the sides are more at this location ! Pretty nice !!
We have been to the restaurant many times but this was the first time the service was not up to par. We were just 2 people at the table and as soon as a table with 12 was seated we were forgotten about, our waitress never checked on us to see how are food was. We had to flag a different person down to ask for mint jelly that we had requested and to have a steak done a bit more well done. She never asked if we wanted coffee or after dinner drink just dropped the check off. It is not the service we have had in the past or at a restaurant such as Ruth Chris.
Spent our anniversary at Ruth Chris this year. They went out of their way to make the night special with little details like rose petals and confetti and the service was excellent. We are already planning to spend next year's anniversary there!
My wife and I shared the Tomahawk steak for anniversary dinner and it was outstanding
Came for romantic cozy dinner. got screaming kids and a table in midddle of waiter thoroughfare.
Manager told me you are trying to cater to families.I have had great experiences before and live 5 minutes
away but will start driving to Mortons in Reston. Food was great.Waiter was great.Atmosphere was terrible.
There was an empty room that could have been used for the crying ,fussing, loud young kids. i have 5
children .We went to family restaurants not Ruth Cris.
Great experience as usual. The service is near flawless and the food is exceptional. We started with cocktails followed by an Ahi Tuna appetizer.
My husband enjoyed his perfect temperature fillet while I happily shared sides of garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Both were fresh, light and expertly prepared. Dessert was a brûléed banana cream pie.
Great celebration dinner.
I deducted one star because we were seated adjacent to a very boisterous group of young men in an otherwise vacant dining room! A little space would have been nicer!
Pete is the best...…….as well as the other fellas taking care of the bar.
Steaks...…...fantastic as usual and expected
Shrimp cocktail below par and not worth the $19 price for small shrimps and so few.
Got charged extra about $40... the server brought the wrong order, to fix it, he brought additional dish and charged us for it... It was New Year's Eve, did not want to make an issue out of it and spoil the great experience... what a shame...
I love Ruth's Chris restaurants ambient and food. We were there New Years eve and the food was absolutely delicious. Our server wasn't that good though.
We had to ask for someone else to get help for cleaning our table so that we could order desert and coffee. My coffee was not hot, it was luke warm.
Also, we have ordered 2 glasses of wine but the waiter has brought the bottle and opened it without us even having a chance to say we didn't order the bottle. So we end up buying the bottle. I think the waiter was new. But this experience will not stop me from going back to Ruth's Chris Steak House. They have delicious food. Creme Brûlée was especially superb.
Great way to celebrate a birthday and the New Year. There is something for everyone in our family to enjoy.
Service was very impressive. Very nice evening...great way to end the year. Highly recommend this location.
Food was good and service was not the normal. Could have to do with the New Year's ever rush. Not bad, just not the normal service.
All worked out fine!
Food was very good; server was polite; prices were appropriate
Food was great, our server was excellent!
Great food but it seemed like the sides were a little smaller. I ordered a 16oz ribeye and others ordered a 12ox, all seemed to be similar in size. Everything else is was great. Our server was great and every time we visit, the manager is sure to stop and ask how we are doing.
We went to Ruth's Chris Steak House for a "Date Night" dinner. It was wonderful. The service was excellent and the food was superb. We were able to conduct a nice conversation. The wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. The food was delivered in a timely manner and was exactly as ordered. We highly recommend this steak house.
We had a wonderful family dinner. The services was outstanding and the food excellent.
Service was extremely slow. Salad ordered, but not delivered (and not billed!). Filets not cooked to requested "doneness". Drinks were weak but expensive. This was the last visit.
You had to wait, because they were busy at Xmas. Otherwise, the experience was excellent.
Ali was an outstanding server and everything was great!
Food was awesome as expected. Took over an hour to get two small dessert.
Service was terrible. Can’t figure out if it was the waitress, cooks, busboys, or all. Food was gross. Plates were extremely hot, yet the food was lukewarm.
This has become a Christmas tradition for my family of 3, but today it was not as enjoyable as usual. Noise levels were a bit much, perhaps because of where we were seated.
Matt and Mike did a great job of taking care of us.
I explained to waiter that I am gluten free (didn’t think I needed to relay I have celiac disease). Ordered house salad NO Croutons
My salad came with the croutons in and on the salad. They took it back but didn’t tell me if it was a new salad. Cross contamination
Makes me pretty sick
My husband had his own problem...he ordered his strip steak medium well...it was so RAW ...seared on the outside cold on the inside so he asked if he could get it cooked a little more.... holy cow...the cook was definitely insulted because when the waiter brought back my husband’s expensive steak...it was shoe leather!
And no...after a couple of tough bites...he could not eat it
Our bill was over $300 and I don’t think we will be back
We have spent many wonderful meals with family and friends at this restaurant over the years and was always happy with the experience but this evening soured us so much...we will take our money elsewhere
We went for a family Christmas dinner. As usual RuthChris' came through with outstanding food and service. Our party ordered entrees that included rib eye steak cooked to perfection and Chilean Sea Bass, delectably prepared. The side dishes of fingerling potatoes, creamed spinach, roasted brussel sprouts, and cremini mushrooms were beautifully prepared. Of course, we ordered too much food, but the leftovers were great the next day. Our waiter, sorry can't remember his name, was extremely professional, provided excellent suggestions, and gave attentive service to anything we needed. We always know our experience will be exceptional when we visit RuthChris' Steakhouse
Another great evening with an excellent meal and good friends!
The service was slow and our food was cold. I think it was an off-night and the kitchen was out of sorts. In the past we’ve had great food.
My salmon was so over cooked I could barely eat it. When I went back to the office I was still hungry which doesn’t bode well after having lunch.
I was with my boss and my assistant and didn’t want the hassle of having to send something back so I ate the edges which weren’t as well done.
We also asked for bread twice and never got it. I was there for lunch 4 days before and no bread that day either. Guess they’re trying to save money. Probably won’t be going back here.
Fantastic meal and experience.
Matt was outstanding server.
We were celebrating a birthday, and they were quite accommodating in seating our party of 7. Brittany, our server, gets extra kudos for being friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. She answered several questions about the menu options, and also arranged for a lovely birthday dessert for our honored guest. The steaks were all excellent and the sides were a cut above the usual steakhouse offerings. Our one non-meat eater was quite pleased with a shrimp dish and the many vegetables offered. Desserts were just the right side, and very tasty. Because we were there on a Sunday evening, parking was not a problem; weekend nights in Fairfax Corner are nearly impossible for parking otherwise. Would we return? Yes, for a special occasion. This is not a restaurant that our budget would allow us to frequent.
