Ruth's Chris Steak House - Durham Ratings and Reviews
I wanted my sister bd to be special i called and shared this information. 1st the valet had to be asked to park our car at valet parking and he gave us the keys to find our car at the end of the meal. 2nd the table. was plain no decorations as i am accustom to in florida, Ny, Phoenix. Nothing to say happy birthday it was a let down to say the least. Our sever and assistant were very kind and efficient. The food was good but everyone asked for extra salad dressing for salad. I enjoyed the night w my quest and was let down bcuz there was nothing special. I could have saved money at road house for steaks plus bake potatoes were cold could not melt butter let alone cheese. This site needs to come more into celebration and creating memories. I still adore Ruth Chris but never again at this branch. I.expected more. Price was no issue for extra decoration if needed.
The event was our anniversary and we enjoyed our meal . The service was great. My filet was good but the creamed spinach stole the show - very good. My wife loved her crab cakes. Our wine was outstanding and so was our complementary dessert. It was an excellent dining event.
THis is one of our go to favorites. We love to sit in the bar, especially during happy hour specials. Service is always top notch. Our server on Wednesday, steered us to the right craft cocktail selection based on our tastes. Service is always top notch here.
Steaks are excellent but pricey.
Remind the waiter if don't want salt on your steaks. The chief Is a little heavy handed for those who don't salt.
Steaks where cook just as ordered and the sides are great. Tables by the kitchen can be a little noisy.
If you are looking for a great steak this the place.
Best onion rings on the planet, for starters - and the friendliest staff that you will ever find. The presentation was excellent and the appetizers were things of beauty - but the steak itself? You can have just that and go to heaven with no regrets. The porterhouse is excellent (recommended medium, you'll understand after you see the sheer volume). Trust me, I'll be back!
I have been to the Durham Ruth Chris Several times before, this was the best meal and service experience at this Durham Restaurant. Service was outstanding, waiter was knowledgable and on time. And as expected the food was great!!!
Will definitely go back when in area.
Everything about the meal was excellent, beginning with the server and right up to the dessert (luscious chocolate sin pie, which melts on the tongue). The gumbo was one of the best I've ever had and I've had a lot of gumbo. The broiled brussel sprouts were perfectly done and I was very sorry to eat the last of the steak, which was perfectly seared on the outside and pink on the inside. The server was always helpful, attentive without being intrusive.
Food was great as it always is at Ruth Chris but the service was lacking. Our server was nice but you could tell that she really wasn't listening, my husband and I refer to it as "fake being nice" being courteous because its your job but really not paying attention to your customers.
Was Ok at best. Wife got a 6oz filet. It was dry and no more than 3-4 oz. She said Longhorn's was better. I got 12 oz. ribeye. It was cooked well tasted ok. Not the great flavor I expect from prime beef. Side dishes had no seasoning at all. Salad and bread were good. Overall, ok, but not the wonderful experience I was expecting.
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse-Durham was a wonderful dining experience. All food was especially good (except, maybe, the roasted Brussels sprouts). The beef filet was great as was the baked potato and creme brulee. Our server was exceptionally nice, attentive, attractive, and friendly--educated and capable of promoting a conversation. The manager made my wife and I feel welcomed. I will go again when in the local area of Chapel Hill and Durham.
