Ruth's Chris Steak House - North Dallas Ratings and Reviews
It was my wife's Birthday and a Ruth's Chris filet is her favorite of all the steakhouses. Service was and has always been great. Very attentive staff from the front door all the way through the meal. I'm always amazed though at the attire I see some people attend this restaurant in. Flip flops, capris jeans etc... very casual at times. Hard to find though anymore a true "fine dining" experience since most people consider beachwear appropriate for a $200 dinner.
This is my go-to spot for both Happy Hours and romantic dinners. The staff, bar and main dining, is very knowledgeable about a number of topics and is always welcoming. I have been to Ruth's in other cities and this location is my favorite location. The food is great, but the staff is excellent.
I try to eat at this particular restaurant at least 6-10 times a year. The food is always consistently good. Ambiance is just ok...needs some updating for sure. For the very first time, the service was certainly not up to par. Always up selling the entire night, we had to look for our waiter in numerous occasions to the point we finally started asking other waiters for service. Still going back, but certainly not getting that waiter.
We've eaten at over a dozen Ruth's Chris and loved the experience in most. This one, however, should be avoided. It is very loud, and the service was nearly non-existent, and more like a diner than an up-scale restaurant. The food was mediocre, lacking all of the special touches we are used to in other Ruth's Chris. Priced comparable to Three Forks and The Capital Grill, it is horribly overpriced. Try them first!
Went for our anniversary dinner and it was great from the time we arrived. Greeted with happy anniversary at the hostess stand, table covered with rose petals, and then we hit the jackpot with our server Mary. She was awesome, we could not have asked for better service and food. Also surprised us with a dessert on the house which was a nice ending to a perfect experience.
Great food served by knowledgeable, professionals. Very nice atmosphere and friendly from the covered car valet to your wait person. Steaks are excellent, perfectly cooked and a long list of delicious sides that are just right to share. You’ll find an extensive wine list, many selections served by the glass.
Extremely disappointed in a restaurant in a long time. Prices way to high, seemed run down and musty. Order steak medium rare, steak came med/ med well . By time server came back my husband had finished eating. While they gave me another steak to take home it didn’t have burnese sauce on top. No apology, no offer to adjust bill.
It was our 43rd Wedding Anna dinner.
Let me start by recognizing our server, Mary. She made the whole dining experience EXCEPTIONAL! Mary kept everything on schedule and utilized all the additional "staffers" to the max. There were eight of us in our birthday party and everyone loved the service Mary provided. As far as the food. it was also exceptional. All the steaks, lamb chops, salads, sides and desserts were great. All in all, it was a perfect birthday party and I do appreciate that.
So this place is way overpriced. I had looked over the menu and didn't realize everything is ala cart..... i would assume a $65 steak would come with a side... No. You have to pay at least $10 per side and at least $10 for a salad... This place is stupid expensive and not worth the money
As always, the food is magnificent. How Ruth's Chris can make a simple salad so delicious escapes me! The entrees are always as ordered, succulent, decadent, and so yummy. The ruby red greyhound cocktail is outstanding. I won't eat mashed potatoes out: Ruth's Chris is the exception. Smooth, buttery, tasty. Best creme brulee anywhere! Friendly, helpful, non-attitude staff rounds out the experience. Five stars!
We chose Ruth's because we had a gift card for our Anniversary dinner. I think all of the other upscale steakhouses in the DFW area have left Ruth's in the dust.
The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and friendly.
The complementary bread was not even warm. The salads we ordered weee very good.
Our main courses were sub par. My filet mignon was bland, thin and a bit over cooked. The shrimp were not very seasoned and just okay. My husbands NY strip was also just okay. The side of corn was cold and the mashed potatoes were room temperature.
There is certainly nothing that would make me chose this restaurant over all of the other delicious options in Dallas for steak.
I have been to Ruth's Chris many times before. This time however, I was a bit disappointed. The table cloth was dirty when we sat down at our table. Given the pricey nature of this restaurant, I would expect all linens are changed between diners. It took quite a bit of time to be greeted by our waiter and then additionally more than usual time to get our drinks. Considering the bar was COMPLETELY empty, I'm not sure why it took so long. The food was very good, as I expected. Overall, the food was great, the service could have been and has been better.
As always our experience at Ruth Chris's is pleasurable and this time was no different. Due to restaurant week, we even took a chance on stepping away from our usual meal to try something new. And it was great as well. Additionally, our servers Chris and Sean were very delightful and pleasant.
We had everything great, except the Lamb was a little bland. They took it back and brought me a great ribeye which is what I almost always get anyway. I know what Good lamb is when done properly, this was not the time.
All in All we had a wonderful waitress and the beverage manager is a hoot as well.
Thanks for another Great anniversary meal.
Our favorite steak restaurant since 80's when it was on Greenville Ave. Steaks always cooked to perfection. Love shoestring potatos and au gratin potatos. The shrimp cocktail is second to none. Extra Large shrimp and best remoulade sauce. Favorite waitress is Mary. We will continue to go back.
