One word: perfection!
I just love everything about it. Very private and quiet. Good food and excellent service.
Great restaurant! Steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection! My fave drink is the Dirty Goose Martini, but the Daou Cab was fabulous! Staff was attentive and service was exceptional!
I have been a frequent visitor to Ruth Chris' Steakhouses throughout the country. This location is my "home" base. For at least 25 years I have had wonderful meals at this location. This current visit was no exception. The service and food were excellent, from the "Happy Birthday" confetti, through the complimentary dessert, everything was OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend having a meal here whenever you get the chance (and are in the mood for a FANTASTIC steak).
My apologies for the upside picture. It was taken from the recipient's perspective.
Ruth's Chris has the best steaks anywhere. The filet can be cut with a butter knife, and the broiling in butter is phenomenal. Love the sides, too, and the menu has expanded greatly since i used to go to the original place in New Orleans. Service is always good, too.
Extraordinary experience ! Thanks to all of you Guys !
Most people think chain steakhouses aren’t as good, but this place is fire
Family vacation trip....
The Connecticut Ave Ruth’s Chris is my favorite of all their locations! The ambiance is truly special, the service is always fabulous, the wine list is awesome and the food is great!
Everything was perfect- thank you! Loved the added ‘Happy Anniversary’ confetti on the table and the picture the team took of us and had printed. Such great personal touches to the evening. Will recommend and will be back!
This location is a bit worn and the neighborhood is hit or miss, but the service was excellent and the food very typical of a Ruth's Chris location. The main restaurant has a dark steakhouse feel but it is brigther/lighter on the covered patio, which is a nice place to sit. Our experience with the hostess and wait staff was very pleasant.
Great time visiting D.C food service and service was amazing!!!
Delightful experience. Excellent steak, good grilled veg. Service wonderful all at a price. Valet parking was a bit strange and disorganized. Otherwise just what you'd expect from a top notch steak house
Father’s Day dinner - my husband enjoyed his lamb chops. I got the surf and turf. Filet was good the lobster was ok. The butter for the lobster was too salty. Lobster without the butter was fine, could do without the seasoning on the lobster. Asparagus was a little over cooked as well the hollandaise sauce was thick. Drinks were good. Ambiance was good. Unfortunately the food did not live up to a special occasion meal.
Consistently good food and service
Our food was delicious and our server Grace was delightful.
Fantastic in every way.
This place is so cool. I love♥️ their steaks. They get at right the first time.
Met all expectations for fine food and outstanding service. Everything was prepared as requested. Simon was our server and he was both affable and professional. Look forward to next visit.
Almost had to fight one the drunk customers. Manager had to ask the regular customer to leave, 20 mins, he ruined our dinner. The manager did not even offer to comp us anything, however was making free drinks for his friends at the bar. Bad service. Awful way to spend $270.00 for a place that doesn’t put their paying customers first.
Great for steaks and chops. I miss the crabtini though. No longer on the menu.
The food and service was excellent!
Poor attention by our waiter. Food was fair but not nearly up to Ruth Chris.
Exactly what you expect from Ruth Chris. Really good Ambience and the best steaks and preparation you can get.
Admittedly, I am spoiled by the 2 Locations in Charlotte where I live, but I was truly disappointed by my visit to the DC location on Connecticut Ave. Instead of being welcomed upon arrival, we were greeted but largely ignored for a few minutes and never felt like a guest. When I dine at RC, I just expect a better experience. While the food was good, the service was disorganized. It felt more like a Longhorn than a Ruths Cris. When I pay $250 for dinner, I expect better.
On a positive note, I now appreciate the Charlotte area RC's even more.
Food was excellent. Great place to dine for special occasions.
Put more filling in stuff chicken breast! My waiter must’ve forgot about us. Kailee Jenner and Travis Scott came in to use a table and left after 15 minutes when their Uber came... After spending $253 on a meal I can’t blame em! I won’t be back to this location please do better Annapolis location and this location you guys are killin RuthChris rep in Maryland. Where’s Lawry’s?
Dinner was awesome! Open Table made it so easy! Our steaks were amazing and cooked to perfection! Keep up the great work!
super delicious food
It was very dark in the restaurant. Although didn't love the darkness, I LOVED the food. The side of sweet potatoes was heavenly. A surprise sweet treat. Chris, our server was kind, sweet and very helpful as well as the other staff who served us, picked up our plates and greeted us. Wonderful, wonderful service overall from everyone.
4 of us arrived on a Tues night for a 6:30 reservation. We were greeted and seated promptly. At that time the place was less than half full, but filled up fairly quickly. Drink orders were taken and delivered after a somewhat longer wait than I expected given the empty seats. As 2 of the 4 drinks looked similar, and the server did not seem certain which was which, a round of tasting revealed that the drinks were not identified correctly by the server. The menu and wine list was standard steak house fare, quite adequate. Wine and appetizers were ordered and appetizers delivered on time. As we neared finishing our appetizers, I asked about the wine which had not yet been served. The server apologized for not telling us that what we ordered was not in stock! The wine list was returned and an alternative chosen. As our steaks were brought out, a bottle of what we originally ordered was delivered with the remark that they found it even though it was not listed as "in stock". The food was excellent and the steaks cooked perfectly.
It seemed as though the server was relatively inexperienced. Once the food was delivered the server was not seen again until dessert time. The manager came by shortly after we sat down to make sure we were doing fine, which we were at the time, but did not return.
Ruth's Chris Steak House is a consistent favorite for great steaks, and wonderful side-dishes. The Wedge Salad is a favorite of mine. Since their beginnings in New Orleans they have known who to prepare and serve a great steak.
Julio made us feel right at home. The wine list is amazing and the ambiance is unique to DC. Love this location! Definitely recommend!
I made reservations for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was wonderful. When we got there, they added “Happy Birthday” confetti to our table! How cute is that!? The ambiance is beautiful and we definitely felt special. The service was above superior and I would definitely come back.
we had a wonderful experience. Service was exceptional - throughout the meal, from selecting wines to dishes and to all the little things that make for perfection. The food was fantastic - and not just the steaks. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Just excellent as always. Have dined at New York, Palm Springs, Boston, and now Washington. All excellent.
I hosted a party of 13 for business dinner. the GM and staff were VERY accomadating as my numbers flexed a bit and grew at last minute. prevented me from having a tough situation. much appreciated. Food excellent. great feedback from clients. staff attentive.
seemed like we hit peak-serving time a bit stretched.
all in all very positive experience.
Very popular place for business travelers. Host and wait staff very courteous.
It was my 74th birthday and I was really looking forward to having an excellent meal. When I arrived with reservations I had to wait awhile to be seated. They then put us in a back room which would have been fine except for the long table with 12 people. They were loud and rude. They were yelling at each other accross the table and occasionally were using the F bomb. It was obvious they felt the room was theirs and they didn't care who else was in the room. The service was slow because our waiter was busy catering to the table of 12. When our meal arrived we ate it as fast as possible so we could get out of the restaurant. A manager stopped by, but by that time we were right into our meal so it wouldn't do any good to complain at that time. I can honestly say it was my worst dining experience ever. By the time we got out of there we both were beginning to get a headache. I may return to a Ruth's Chris but not the Conn. Ave location.
