Service was wonderful..Ken took great care of us and made our experience yet again remarkable! I 💕 Columbia Ruth Chris!
Food was good. Special order took far too long but the taste was worth the wait. I'm thinking they were understaffed because our very bubbly waitress always seemed to show up 20 minutes later than expected. This was surprising because the place was wasn't more than a quarter full. The water glasses smelled like dogs had lapped from them. That was tragic. Overall though I highly recommend the place. The food was VERY good and the wait staff was at least courteous and friendly.
Great plane to eat! Great server and service! I don’t mind paying for the steak because it is superb but the cost of the sides and salad are so way over value for the quantity of the products! Your price points are way off for the amount offered! I would come back and just have steak.
Food was excellent- service was slow but restaurant was at capacity.
Wonderful environment. Quick service. Staff was very attentive to our needs. As always, the food was excellent!
There was a sign at the front desk that said “Appropriate attire required”. How ever we saw two different parties seated wearing sweatpants and Crocs. That kind of killed the ambiance for us.
Great steaks!! Food served hot as it should be in most restaurants and was very delicious. I will visit again 😀
I've been to Ruth's Chris in Savannah and was really pleased. The food was excellent and the restaurant was laid out in a manner that resulted in quiet dining. The Columbia RC's was much different. The steak was poor quality - lot's of tough gristle. The restaurant was very loud - you could hardly have a conversation at your table. The only good thing I can say is that our service was excellent. But this meal was way too expensive to be so mediocre. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Cowboy Ribeye was severely over cooked, so they took it away and prepared me a new one. Not a major deal, but it made for an awkward dining experience with my friend as they finished their meal and sides before mine came back out. The manager came by and never offered to take anything off the bill or even a free dessert. They brought extra au gratin potatoes out, but it was unnecessary as we were already eating the sides we ordered. Just seems like it would be a common sense move on part of the manager on the customer service side of things to at least offer something. It was a disappointing experience.
My family went for Easter Dinner. It was a nice atmosphere to chat, not too loud. Nice ambiance.
Had a great Easter dinner with my family while we visited my daughter at college
Great steak
Expected a more pricey meal but with entrees as high as $119, potato and vegetable shouldn't be add ons. The food was indeed wonderful and the service great but just seemed that they are nickel and dime-ing their customers with everything - and I mean everything - being a la carte.
Our service was great this time and the food was delicious! Our waitress even apologized for the bad service we received on our last visit. She certainly made up for it, even though she had nothing to do with our previous visit.
I am so glad Ruth’s Chris has a dress code, although I did see a older man in the dining room with a baseball hat on.
Veal osso buco ravioli appetizer & bananas foster cheesecake were amazing! Service was impeccable. Steaks were good but not perfect - undercooked and the cuts weren't as good as I expected for the price you pay. Overall a great meal!
Great food!! Must try the stuffed chicken breast!
We had a nice time!
Had an amazing night with my baby for my birthday. The food was great as always and Austin took great care of us!
The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our entrees, 12oz. Filet and sea bass were both outstanding! Sides of sweet potato and Brussels sprouts were great. Desserts superb! Great celebration!!!
Was there to celebrate a birthday. Between our appetizer and our meal was a wait of 1 hour and 6 minutes.
This is my first time visiting your restaurant. I really had high expectations from all the good things I had heard from Friends. I visited with several of my co-workers and in my reservation I stated that it was one of our co-workers birthdays. We arrived on the day that y'all were not very busy. We had two Waiters that were helping us. Brennan ask us if it was a special occasion. I told him at that time it was one of our co-workers birthdays. I thought she would at least get a piece of cake with a candle. I had to keep asking for drinks and bread. We had to flag the waiter down to ask for desserts and then our check. I was very shocked that they we're not more attentive since they were not very busy! I find in most restaurants when they're the least busiest is when you get the worst service. Maybe your wait staff has the mentality of they will get a good tip regardless since this is a higher-priced restaurant. I'm not sure what the issues were, but we still left a good tip. The food was absolutely amazing!
Celebrating the 24th birthday of my precious grandson. From the moment we arrived everything was perfection. What a wonderful way to spend an evening with my wonderful date.
Kudos to Amber VanPatten, one of the managers who happens to be a granddaughter also, for enhancing the evening! Extremely special and wonderful evening!
Best food in a long time had the sea bass it was perfect lobster Mac n cheese and sweet potato soufle
Brought my 14 year old son here for a special father-son steak dinner on Saturday night and had a superb meal. His cowboy ribeye and my NY strip were cooked to perfection and tasted excellent - my son is still talking about it! Wait staff/service excellent and friendly. Obviously a pricey meal (as expected) but worth it. Will return with the other son!
There was no wait time for our reservation. We a tually got there early and were accommodated immediately. Our waiter was friendly, the food was outstanding. We had the porterhouse for two and it was cooked to perfection. The whole experience was worth the cost of the meal.
Ken is the BEST! We always have a fabulous time when we go to Ruth’s Chris!
Our server Rachel was polite, friendly and efficient. The NY strip for my husband (birthday fellow)wasn’t as good as expected or as when we were there before, sister in law’s Cobb salad was excellent. Sweet potato casserole was delicious. Vegetarian plate was almost terrible, except for the asparagus. The filet and shrimp dish was great. The tuna was okay but had to ask for the crab meat. The mushroom were great. The petite filet was superb. The alcohol beverages were pleasing So overall we survived but I was a bit disappointed since it was my husband’s 70th Birthday celebration 🤗
Kitchen was way behind. Seems like they ran out of some food. Have eaten there many times and was something very wrong in the kitchen.... We were all finished and my wife just then got her food and the side.. Very poor coordination with server and kitchen.
Hit or miss. Was there two weeks before and it was very good. Came back March 10th and the food was cold and service non-existent.
Food was underwhelming compared to other Ruth's locations. Service was extremely slow. There were tons of children dinning here, not the atmosphere I was wanting.
We were first time visitors. The food & service lived up to its reputation. We werent disappointed!
Been to Ruth’s Chris several times; but steaks were extremely dry, highly disappointed. Will probably not return; a bit upset since it was our anniversary.
Celebrated our 26 anniversary with a diner at Ruth Chris on the recommendation of a friend. Table was ready when we arrived. Food and service was very good. There was a large party nearby that was loud but not too bad. Nothing the staff could do about the that. Very good experience. Will be back.
The food, service, wine selection and portions are all great. It is expensive. The chop salad, gumbo, streak, lobster, and onion rings were all superbly prepared- absolutely no room for dessert.Only down side is that it feels like a hotel dining room (which it is). For a high quality , expensive meal , a little more ambiance would be nice.
Ruth Chris in Columbia was excellent. The food was terrific and the service was exceptional. Would go there again in an instant!
After 2 below standard experiences, I must say my recent visit was the best service ever! My waiter Jamie was Amazing! Our drinks were never below half and it was his pleasure to make sure we were satisfied. That is 5 star service!!!
Sides came out after guests had finished entree and 1 of the sides was never delivered at all. Disappointing.
Our service was horrible. There was a large gathering at this restaurant and it apparently impacted majorly on the regular customers. Long wait for food and drinks. We will not return.
I have eaten at Ruth Chris on several occasions (in Charleston and in Columbia, SC). My husband and I have been impressed on every occasion. The food is great and worth the $.
The only recommendation for the Columbia restaurant would be the possible use of live music like in Charleston. That adds an extra something to the atmosphere. Just a suggestion.
We will come back either way and recommend highly
Lovely meal in a nice atmosphere. So thrilled about the gluten-free offerings there now.
