We have been to Ruth's Chris in Greenville many times. The service is always perfect. At the Columbia restaurant our service was poor waiting for a chance to just get someone to our table. Food was as amazing as always. Bar service before dinner was perfect. We tipped well because we understand servers work for this. However, this service was not good.

We had a good time. Wasn’t pleased with the creamed spinach or lobster bisque. My steak and lobster was cooked properly though. Wouldn’t recommend the table right beside the entrance. Service was great.

my steak was supposed to be cooked medium, and it was cooked well done and dry. It had no flavor at all. My broccoli had no seasoning (bland). My wifes salmon was overcooked also. It was our anniversary so i didn't want to ruin it by complaining. we were both very disappointed with the restaurant and the food in particular. i expected much better for the prices that they charge. we will not be going back to Ruth Chris. I can get a much better steak at Longhorn Steakhouse for more then half the price.

hen I booked the reservation it asked me if it was a special occasion, which it was my sons bithday. I was expecting some acknowledgement of that event, especially after spending
595.00. But nmever a word mentioned. We often eat at the Ponte Vedra loction where we are from in Florida and unfortunately did not have the same atmosphere or experience. Lighting extremely dark, ambience very very somber. Not the experience I had expected. Only thing I was accustomed to was the bill, food was great.

The food was good, but it was an underwhelming experience. We have been to this restaurant a few times previously, and we always had a great experience. It made it worth the cost of the food.
This time, though, it wasn't worth it. We went for our anniversary, and the only acknowledgments we got was from the hostess.
We won't return to this location.

Ate right at the bar and received excellent service from the bartender. My wife and I are on a diet and wanted to split our meal. Our server split the steak, salad and our sides in the kitchen and brought our meal out on two plates. First class service.

Not what I expected. An overpriced mess. No one followed rules... dress, masks, etc... food was a waste of 154 plus a $20 tip. I wouldn’t return to this one. Someone praised this place but I can say the same.

The waiter was not very attentive. We had to wait to long for our drinks to be refilled. When requesting check it took a very long time for the waiter to bring it. He was very unpleasant which made my dining experience very bad. The food was great as always. But I will not be dining there anytime in the near future.

Wow, I have been to a few of these. But after eating at Ruth’s Chris in Columbia, I don’t plan on returning. The steaks were not to any stand especially when you pay $50 for a steak. The best dish was the salad, the lobster was overcooked, the fries we grease logged, the mash potatoes needed to be served in a bowl, it was like potato soup. Everything was so salty. For $400 I’ll buy my own steaks and cook them at home next time. Pretty bad when 3 of the people at the table look at you and say, your steaks are better then this. Not including the side dishes were not worth eating. I was very unimpressed with the food. I expect this at Applebee’s or some other chain restaurant but for the money you pay- you expect a step above quality then the run-of-the mill restaurant. Ruth’s Chris you have let me down. I hope you can turn your business around before it’s too late.

Overall pretty good. We haven't eaten at a Ruth's Chris in a couple of years, but the steaks were are good as we remember. Service was iffy at best... not rude, but just not so skilled. Also, liquor prices seem to have escaped orbit and are hurling for uncharted territory.

We had dinner with another couple for Fathers Day! After ordering a few drinks the server kept asking us did we want more drinks instead of ordering food. After about 30 minutes we told the server we would like to order. The food took 1 hour and 30 minutes. By the time the food arrived we were too tired to eat. I asked for medium well steaks and they were cool and red in the center. This was a 7:00pm dinner reservation and the restaurant was fairly empty at the time. The servers were very polite but we usually have a better experience with the timeless of the food. Anything over an hour is way too long to wait.

Meals were delicious! My hub and I enjoyed every bite. We were running late but were still seated quickly. Needed to used the parking garage but its close, valet was unavailable. Try the Lamb!

While the general idea of a sizzling plate probably looks good in television commercials, the practicality is far from perfect. When you order your filet medium rare, the super hot plate actually continues to cook your steak...so that by the time you get half way through your meal the meat is very much well done.....I would recommend you dial back the temp a bit in the interest of maintaining the diner's preference. We are two couples who are in our 70's and dine out together almost every week...this after literally forty years as best friends and neighbors. This past Saturday was a birthday meal for one of us and we really wanted it to be special. It would have been at some other venue but you disappointed us tremendously. Both couples ordered the potatoes au gratin and they were tasteless and dry. How in the world do you mess up that so simple recipe? $447.00 for a pretty bad meal will not get you repeat business. Fortunately all of us are financially well off and so the cost is not so much a factor, but for anyone who expects exceptional experience, Ruth's Chris could surely do better. We have travelled all over the world and had fabulous meals in spectacular restaurants,,, this one is a distinct underperformer.

I have have dined at Ruth's Chris quite a few times and the food was delicious. However, I was disappointed with the food quality during this visit. I did not like the taste of my sides (very bland) and my cowboy ribeye steak was mediocre. The presence of the COVID-19 virus in SC may have something to do with things being off right now with various restaurants and their products. Once this pandemic comes to an end, I will try Ruth's Chris out once again to see if there are any improvements.

How can you go wrong. Food was outstanding, service superb. Drinks were not great, sweet and no single cubes.

The atmosphere was great the service was good. The food was good but not as good as it usually is. There was something different not sure if there's a different chef or different recipe. Wasn't bad. Just not the usual either.

Milestone anniversary and they treated us very special. Steak, salad , appetizer and dessert were perfect. Maybe the potato casserole could have been a little crisper.Extensive wine choices. Service attentive, friendly but not intrusive...perfect.

Ken was our server he was amazing we really enjoyed ourselves only small complain I had was I ordered a medium steak and got a well done steak but it was so late in the evening so I didn’t even worry about sending anything back overall a great experience!!!

Ken Robertson was an excellent waiter. All the staff was professional and wonderful. Steaks perfect although the price is high. Wine good but overpriced. Overall, excellent time and food.
