Ruth’s Chris is our preferred steakhouse in Cincinnati so my wife and I went there for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. This was the first time that we weren’t 100% satisfied. My steak was great and our sides were fantastic but my wife’s petite filet was over cooked and did not present well. My wife didn’t want to say anything so to their defense I’m sure they would have rectified. The music playing was also too loud and annoying, sounded like the same song playing over and over. Our waitress was fantastic though so definitely want to give her a shout out.
The food was great and my waiter David was excellent. I came for my birthday just me and my fiance and we had a nice time
It's very hard to beat a Ruby steak, I think they have done it. Regret taking so long to visit this place. Great service, great cocktails, and overall great time. It's going to cost you but in life sometimes you have to splurge.
It is pricey but its a good experience and would go again to celebrate a special occasion.
Superb service and food! It was one of the best meals I have ever had, and one of the best experiences with wait staff at any restaurant. Go if you can!
great food ,friendly service we cant wait to go back
My daughter’s birthday.Wonderful experience.
Outstanding food and service. My new favorite place.
Stopped in after the Reds game great food great service!!
Delicious as always. I always overeat plus take some home. Stuffed chicken breast, Au gratin potatoes and sweet potato casserole are my top picks! Their dirty goose martini is the best drink in town!
Ruth Chris at the Banks was a wonderful experience to celebrate my birthday after watching my Cleveland Indians beat Cincinnati Reds. The Paul Hobbs wine was exquisite and the Filet and Shrimp dinner combo was a real deal.
Delicious food, great service.
Ruth’s Chris always delivers delicious fare. This location did not disappoint- ambiance was very nice and there was plenty of people watching in the street below. Good view of the big Ferris wheel too.
We had a 7:00PM reservation. We got there at 6:00 PM and they were able to accommodate us. Which was so nice. We enjoyed our dinner and the cheesecake for dessert was amazing.
Our experience there was totally different the the RC in Louisville, Kentucky. The Cincy version was more of a bar-like atmosphere. Kinda loud. And I noticed that I was about the only one following the business casual dress requirements. Dudes were in their shorts, flip flops, tee shirts and baseball hats. Having noticed and saying all of this though, the food and service were outstanding. So yeah, I'd go back and maybe I'll dress a little more comfortably next time.
Fantastic place to celebrate! Great service, great food.
Seafood was amazing and I just don’t think you can get a better steak.
We had reservations for party of 5 took us upstairs and had to wait while they figured out how to sit 5 at a set table for 4. The waiter was not engaging or helpful with the menu. We bought wine and didn’t even offer our 16 year old a pop etc for him. Since he can’t drink alcohol.
Make no mistake, this is an expensive restaurant. It takes a special occasion for us to spend in excess of $150/Couple to eat out. However, they use high quality meats that melt in your mouth and are a tasty pleasure to chew. JR still gets my vote for best steak but this is a close second. Had the special dinner which included Starter, main course, side and a desert along with a bottle of wine we split with the other couple celebrating our wife's birthday. A good value and five star service but I do have some complaints. The Matradee came buy and asked how things were. Great we replied. She did a good job making us feel welcome. However, she noticed my friends wine glass was empty. She asked if she could get my friend another glass of wine. My friend not wanting to pay for another bottle said no. She again asked are you sure, I can get you another glass, phrased in a way it almost sounded complementary but was unclear if it was. Okay so the meal pushed our budget a bit and my friend was a little shaky in his answer thinking it might be complimentary but was too embarrassed to ask. So he just said no again. Then the Matradee said Really? I can get you something else if you like? I'd say she tried to talk him into another drink for at least another minute. A little too aggressive if you ask me and a bit embarrassing to those of us on a tight budget. If it was complementary, she should have said so. Otherwise, she should have taken his no and let the waitress deal with the drink order if he changed his mind. The restaurant did provide us with a birthday card on the table, a nice touch. However I did have to explain to my wife that not all restaurants give free deserts or something for attending on your birthday. This left her not pleased. I do highly recommend the restaurant though. Go often if you can afford it or try it at least once if you need to celebrate something special. Just simply say no to the up-sells.
It was our Anniversary. Fabulous experience all the way around. We’ll definitely be back!
They were very accommodating for my grandmothers birthday
AMAZING. Ruth’s Chris never disappoints. Our server Carmen was great and the food and wine were phenomenal.
Phenomenal experience! Perfect spot for celebrations, business dinners, or just a nice night out to indulge. We love that it's not overly stuffy like some of their competitors. Best steaks I've had in this area, not even close.
Our waiter was efficient but unfriendly. My husbands’s bone in filet came out warm, not hot and was under cooked. Not our usual dining experience at Ruths. Overall it was a disappointment.
As always, great food and service.
Came in for a birthday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. Keifer was a great server and our food was delicious. Steaks were cooked to precise temperature and our sides/dessert were phenomenal as well.
We celebrated our anniversary there a couple of years ago. It was an awesome experience.
I can't say that this year. We were treated like customers rather than guests.
The filet was amazing! I also ordered the baked potato and it was the BEST potato I have ever had. The waiters were kind. Price was solid-not too expensive for the great value of food you are receiving.
Joseph took great care of us for a delightful experience. The food is excellent and the selection fantastic. Great selection of wines by the glass.
I would recommend just on a less busy day everything we ordered the waiter cane back and said they where out of...No sweet potatoes no bacon no blueberry our table was like just bring us whatever you have
First of all got there on time waited 20 minutes to be seated. The server TERRELL was terrible. People seated after us got service before us we waited and waited on bread He said he was gonna bring never got it had to ask and tip other server for bread.. And had to ask a whoke other person for dessert. I'm a hair dresser and I'm all about tipping. But this server TERRELL did not deserve a tip and madr it his business to rub out after us because we barely gave him a tip. And said sarcastically THANKS. LOL. the food was good but hopr noone gets TERRELL as a server
We have a wonderful time, will be come back soon
Service was slow. Busboy spilled water on table and laughed. Someone dropped a stack of plates sending shards flying then manager asked if we were awake now. Much improvement is needed.
Great service great food. Our server was so sweet and the menu had a package meal that was a great price.
Courtney, our server, was fantastic and was very knowledgeable about the menus. She directed me and my partner toward the Classics menu -- a salad, entrée, side, and dessert for around $58 dollars each. What a value! 11 oz. filet, loaded baked potato, cheesecake with ice cream, and a fancy salad and the same for my partner (6 oz. filet and 3 shrimp as the entrée). The filet was cooked perfectly and smothered in butter. Oh, and the bread was so good (included in meal). An assistant came in between courses to clean off the table and was very friendly and kind. Regarding drinks, my partner got a cucumber cup which was refreshing and delicious. Everything about this restaurant was first class and the location is really fun when there is a Reds game. Can't wait to go back for a special occasion!
The perfect option for celebrating a late Mother’s Day/early Father’s Day.
Went for our anniversary. Ruth’s Chris is my wife’s favorite restaurant. ALWAYS great food and service. A very consistent experience so it’s ALWAYS a welcome choice!
AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Service from Joe (I think that was his name) was on point. We never had to ask for anything. His assistant Bryce never let our water glass get below half full. They really have a phenomenal team and everyone looks genuinely happy to be working there, which says a lot in my opinion. I ordered the seafood tower as an app, and this was a show stopper! Fresh lobster, crab legs, shrimp cocktail paired with decadent dipping sauces, all served on a beautiful display of crushed ice placed on a tower on our table, the perfect start to our meal. I followed that with a Cowboy cut Ribeye, 22oz of pure heaven in my mouth. It came sizzling on their 500 degree plate with butter, which puts the flavor and experience over the top. Be prepared to spend some dough, but well worth it for a nice night out.
Food was fantastic! Our server Courtney is a gem. We made sure to tell the manager how picky we are about our service and how she met and exceeded all our expectations. She provided our top 3 service experience we've ever had in the city, and we go out at least once a week. Steaks were cooked to perfection, creme brulee was the perfect ending. Truly the best place in the area if you want to indulge and treat yourself.
