It was my first time and I love the place would have like to stay however I had too leave because of family members had a accident however I would like to come back to Chicago and eat here again
Outstanding food; impeccable service.
It was the first time we’ve been and we went for my birthday. They had a table ready for us, tastefully decorated. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable and welcoming. The whole experience was very good. We will be back.
Jessica Love was my server. She was absolutely amazing!!! It's been a very long time since I've experiences such great service. Thank you Jessica for exceeding our expectations.
Great food and great service as usual!!
Waitress shook my martini behind me and the top came loose spraying me lightly. She says the bartender will make a new one. The “new one” filled the martini glass only 1/2 way. Porterhouse for two was to be medium rare. It was medium, not medium rare. We have had better dinners at other Ruth Chris locations.
The restaurant lacks atmosphere. The “booth” we were seated in was shot . When I sat down it sunk in like a hole . I expect more when I’m paying $68.00 for a steak . I also expect for my steak to be cooked per my request. I asked for “ medium rare “ I got “ rare “ . I showed my waiter and he agreed. He asked if I wanted to speak with the manager . I told him “ no just box it up “ . I didn’t feel like going through the process of complaining. I didn’t come for a free meal . I came for a exceptional meal . I didn’t get one at all . To be clear , the waiter was very good and professional. I will never go to Ruth’s Chris again. I have dined at the Norfolk Virginia location several times and it was average. I spent 270.00 including the tip . A couple of days earlier I dined at the original Morton’s steak house. It was the best steak I have ever had in my life . The service was great as was the atmosphere. It cost me and my wife $300.00 and was awesome. What I call a memorable meal .
I think Ruth’s Chris has spread itself too thin thus watering down the brand . I hope this helps those who are considering dining in downtown Chicago. Or elsewhere for that matter.
Love Ruth's Chris. Never had a bad experience. The food is fantastic and the waiters/waitresses are very friendly.
Awesome food and service.
The appetizers and portions of the main courses were what you would expect at one of the best steak houses in the world. I have been to a dozen Ruth's Chris globally and I am never disappointed as the consistency is always there. I was a little surprised that there were only a few tables being served but the meal was a thumbs up!
This visit was celebrating my wife birthday. This is about my fourth time here, but the first time that we have used Open table. As usual the food is great and always have the best waiters. Again thanks for a great time. My wife was happy.
It was my wife and I anniversary.
Best steak we've ever had....hands down! We try other steakhouses, but nothing compares to Ruth's Chris. End of story.
The food was exceptional! Love the sizzling plates to keep the food hot while you eat. We ordered the brussel sprouts, jalapeño corn and lobster Mac n Cheese for sides. All were delicious. The service was spot on. Food came out in a timely manner. All in all it was a great night of food and company. Will definitely return again.
Steaks were a bit over cooked. We visit RC all the time, our favorite place in Tampa and this one just wasn’t up to par with what we come to expect.
We celebrated Father’s Day last night and had a lovely evening. We were well attended to. We ordered calamari and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers and the food came out in 10 minutes and was delicious. For entree my father and I shared the tomahawk ribeye cooked medium plus so my portion was med rare like I like but my fathers piece was more well done like he prefers. My son ordered the cowboy ribeye which he enjoyed. We also had the grilled asparagus which was perfect and the brussel sprouts were fantastic as well. The lobster Mac and cheese was okay they just put a heap of lobster on top of their regular Mac and cheese dish so it doesn’t taste like a part of the dish.
We celebrated Father’s Day!
Love this place. Food was outstanding Service was on point. I am going back.
I experienced poor customer service from my server.
The food was outstanding. We didn't have to wait for a long time after our reservation. The food temperature an taste was excellent and so was the staff.
I have always enjoyed this place but Saturday night the food was awful and my mom and I both got sick.
Went for a graduation celebration. They had the table decorated and a special treat for the graduate. The food was excellent and the servers were attentive and pleasant.
Was seated by the bar and dining room where everyone comes together to order drinks, bus tables, etc. Very noisy. Restaurant staff gather in these areas and I heard a lot of personal conversations. Not a quiet dinner.
A large group of people were celebrating a birthday with children next to us and it was extremely loud. For a romantic birthday dinner with my husband spending $200 on just food, which included no alcohol I am sad to say I will not be returning... Huge let down...
We had not been to a Ruth Chris in a few years, and now know we will return sooner. Everything was perfect, food service ambience. A great restaurant!
Great steaks to celebrate my parents meeting my girlfriend for the first time.
Our server Jimmy was outstanding. He was attentive, gave suggestions and was so friendly. The rib eye steak was above average but it wasn’t amazing which is what I’m used to.
My filet was a little over cook for my liking. The manager Tom ask if he could have my steak prepared over. My goodness the steak was mouthwatering. I could cut it with my fork. Thanks Tom for making my dinner perfect
We thoroughly enjoyed the food and service by Lisette was great! Table was right next to kitchen door so lots of traffic
Always love Ruth Chris but this time was not up to par. My wife and I ordered the exact same steak and you would think they would serve the exact same cuts of steak but not so. My wife's came out perfect, thick and beautiful. Mine was thin, like a 1/2 in, and not done as it should have been. Strange they would serve the same table two different cuts of the same steak. The service was good at the beginning but trailed off as the end of the meal approached and almost disappeared before the bill.
Really going down hill. the decor is wearing out. I was given a choice of very dull steak knives(to go with a bone in filet). Food was fine, but nothing great. Service was mediocre at best. They really need to work on training. They have freindly staff, just not 5 star quality training. When you spend over $700 on dinner for 4 you would expect it to be better. This is the 2nd time in a row R'sC has let me down, I have always been a big fan, but I won't be back anytime soon.
Wow... Our ribeye was tough to cut into. With a $60 price tag, I would have expected something a little better. The salads were good. We each got our own salad, split the ribeye, and got a side. That was more than enough. Overall, it was a fine experience, but it was too expensive to justify going back again. I repeat, I will not be going back again. Plenty of other great spots you can eat for MUCH less.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was top notch. The lobster bisque was delicious and the ribeye and creamed spinach were also delicious. I appreciate on the menu it disclosed or highlighted the corn fed steak. The rest I give a pass to since it was a special occasion and my boss was treating me (not sure if sauces had cornstarch, but the bread probably had cornmeal on the crust). We had an early lunch, so it was more quiet than a later lunch or dinner, which was nice. First time was a charm.
Willie did an outstanding job! Very knowledgeable of the menu items and excellent recommendation for how we should request our steak to be prepared. He made our 36 wedding anniversary special. Thank you Willie
The restaurant was operating on holiday hours as posted on their website however does not say what time they open for the holiday. Service was great, food was great, nice ambiance, food is pricey, 2 drinks were extremely outrageous. Drink responsibly but elsewhere!!
My chicken wasn't done all the way. My steak was burnt.
Everyone was very nice. Our server, Mikey, was on point and helpful when it came to make selections. The whole experience was great.
Good food, nice wines, nice crew. Great place for enjoying your company. Relaxing atmosphere
