My husband and I got married in one of their private rooms upstairs. We come to eat here on special occasions, and the food and service has never failed. It's hard to order a filet mignon, well done, and not have it come out dry. They cook it to perfection. The scalloped potatoes are delicious, but all the sides we have tried are very good.
We will always come to Ruth's Chris to celebrate. Wonderful service, and food.

This was the worst service we have had by far from any fine dining restaurant. The table we were sat next to was so loud it was hard to hear each other and the server. I am surprised we were sat next to them, because it was obvious how drunk and loud they were...however, noise volume is something that we can get over...not a big deal. The service itself is what ruined our dinner experience. It took a long time to order our appetizers, and our server was barely present throughout dinner. Took over 30 minutes for my wife's drink. When we were obviously ready to leave (we were wearing our coats at the table) and had already had our leftovers brought to us, it took 20-30 minutes to get our check. For spending a good amount of money on an anniversary dinner, this was awful.
I took my wife, daughter and fiancé there for a Valentine's celebration. My wife and I had been to a Ruth's Chris on a couple of occasions and thought this would be a special meal for my daughter and future son-in-law.
We were very pleased. The service was excellent as was the food. Everyone had a fabulous meal.
Absolutely amazing. Get the stuffed chicken and broccolini. Tables are a bit crowded and we had somewhat of a large party. Overall, we loved it and will be back in a couple of weeks to celebrate another birthday.
Steaks were excellent as usual. They were out of our first choice of wine and I overheard the table next to us experiencing the same issue with a different bottle of wine. We ordered the fixings for our loaded baked potato on the side and for some reason no cheese was included. We also had to request new wine glasses as they were dirty.
We went for my wife's birthday, and it was excellent! Every detail was perfect, from the food to the birthday confetti on the table, and even a birthday greeting on her dessert plate. Chris' service was fantastic! He took excellent care of all his tables. The best caesar salad we've had in a long time, steaks were perfect and tender. Excellent bread and shrimp! Not in our usual budget, but definitely worth the splurge!

Ruth Chris is a great restaurant, the steaks are outstanding, the best in the city, in my opinion. But I was a little disappointed. I asked for bernaise and was charged $2. While I have no issue with paying for it, I think the waiter should have informed me there was an up charge. Not his fault, maybe it's assumed there is a charge.
Restaurant Week 2018 lunch menu offering for $22 includes a meat, side dish, and dessert. Service is phenomenal as always. Food came out fast, delicious, and served on a hot plate. Definitely a price value!
We ordered the restaurant week menu with an add on of shrimp and lobster. I had the ribeye, it was incredible fatty. I know ribeyes have a little more fat, I have been eating them my whole life. This steak had so much grease that it congealed in the takeout container. (I took the steak home and gave it to my dog). We had two sides, mashed and cream spinach, both were lukewarm, we had to send the spinach back to be warmed up. The dessert that the evening for “chefs choice” was not one I cared for and when I told our server that I didn’t want the dessert, huge miss on his part, all he said was I will bring two for your husband. I personally feel the correct response should of been, would you care for something else instead, even if he would of offered a scoop of ice cream.
If you have a special menu for restaurant week, don’t skimp on quality! Have smaller portions if you need but the restaurant does it self a disservice when they choose quantity or quality.
This is my second and last visit to this restaurant, so many better steak houses in the city.

We dined here for restaurant week again this year. We were seated promptly at the time of our reservation. The steaks were really good as usual. I just believe this to be one of the best steak houses in Chciago.
