Terrible!. Reservation meant nothing. I showed up to my reservation in time they seated me an hour later. The hostess (Anna) pushed my reservation twice to accommodate other guests. Will not me be back anytime soon
I really wanted to Love this restaurant based off of family members who had gone here before. I work in an industry where I refer people constantly for dinner experiences. The experience here really wasn’t good from the moment we arrived to the restaurant to the time we left. I’m sorry to say that but it really was bad. To the credit of the restaurant it was Valentine’s Day and we had a 7:15 PM appointment and things were somewhat chaotic. But watching the experience of people that were waiting for the reservation to be fulfilled was unfortunate. I felt very bad for people that were trying to go out and experience their Valentine’s Day evening and weren’t treated real well.It seemed like an easy solution was to treat the people that were sitting in the front of house waiting for their delayed reservation to be treated with some respect whether it be with drinks or with hors d’oeuvres. Instead the host staff dismissed people saying that the restaurant was just backed up. Not our faults as consumers who are paying a lot of money to die. Once we were finally seated the experience didn’t get much better. I really felt like the experience could’ve been so much better if the wait staff had more trained to deal with fine dining. The cost of the meal versus the experience of the The dining room didn’t lineup. The food was absolutely delicious and very well cooked. That cannot be denied. But it just didn’t line up with the experience one was having in the dining room with the service staff. It seems like a pretty easy fix but need to big knowledged.Best wishes to the restaurant for continued success most likely will not be coming back and will not refer anyone there to the restaurant.

I usually enjoy my experience at Ruth Chris; this experience not so much. The service was extremely slow being that the restaurant wasn’t busy. We didn’t have the utensils we needed for our meal. The staff weren’t as attentive as we were used to.
I've been coming to this location for years, food is always good and the servers can tell you about ANYTHING on the menu and or behind the bar.

We love this place. But this time we were seated right in the center of the upstairs floor. At a table that was added to accommodate. However the foot traffic was excessive and the upstairs is very loud. I moved my chair to the edge of the table. But still not as we were accustomed too.
Food was hot and fresh as usual at this Ruth Chris location. Of course the prices are up the roof lol. Waiter could have checked in more often as we waited a couple times. We wanted to order drinks but by the time the food came out first so we changed our minds. We also waited for quite along time for the waiter to come back to pick up the check. Overall the waiter was nice and courteous just check in from time to time.
Honestly, fantastic. Service was phenomenal and the food was out of this world. I split the porterhouse with a friend and had more then enough food. Also, for a steakhouse in Chicago the price was fantastic.
Always a great time and great food!!! From the curbside valet, to the hostess and server everything was top notch. Will definitely be back.

First time dining here and enjoyed everything about it. The staff was very friendly, fast service and my waitress Kayla was knowledgeable about the menu, polite and welcoming. I had the stuffed chicken with cream spinach and sweet potato casserole and was pleased.
Because it was restaurant week the food poorly cook and not at the standard of Ruth Chris. I was extremely disappointed especially with a $500 bill

Always enjoy eating at Ruth Chris but this time my filet mignon was grainy but my husband said his was excellent.
Good choice for Chicago Restaurant Week 2019 and throughout the year. The salmon was superb and you can't go wrong with the filet. Nice chef's selection for surprise dessert.

The steak is some of the best we've ever had. The service, however, was quite disappointing. Our server was also doubling as bartender and spent most of her time doing that. If we return, we'll probably sit in the main dining room, not the bar booths.

One of the best meals we've had in a very very long time, Ron our server was very pleasant made the meal more enjoyable, I wish I could remember our busboys name said he'd been there for about 2 months he was very attentive as well. We will definitely be back.
When we we’re walking upstairs to be seated by the host he had to tell us to wait another few minutes as it appeared there were no tables available in the section they were putting us.in. We were greeted right away by our very friendly and professional waiter when we were finally seated. My husband and I took advantage of the restaurant week deal that included 3 entrees. We both started out with Calamari and was brought out within 10 min and was good. We both started our main course with Cesar salad which took almost 30 minutes to come out and we both did not like. The salad itself looked brown and old. As we began to eat our salads our steaks came out at the same time! Was very disappointed that this was happening. Our waiter hurried the server back to take the steaks to the kitchen. We were not happy about the fact that steaks came out at the same time and had to sit longer for us to enjoy. Finally our steaks came out and all I could think about at point could These have tasted better if everything we ordered was timed better? The wine and drinks were the best thing we ordered. The overall experience was disappointing as my husband and I don’t have time to get out much because of work and kids and we had been looking forward to this for so long. Not sure if we will be coming back to RuthChris after The disappointing experience. Clearly there was a lot of disorganization going on and hope that they improve on they’re service!
Brett was our waiter and he was awesome. He told jokes and he really boned well with our table.
I have dined at Ruth's Chris on numerous occasion. My dinning experience this past Saturday night was Excellent (Restaurant Week), the food was delicious as always, I had the King Salmon Blackened and my dinning mate had the 12 oz New York Strip that melted in your mouth along with lobster tail. We started with Calamari (which was the best I have had in awhile), followed by Seafood Gumbo also delicious. Our meal was paired with a smooth tasting Malbec which was suggested by our Server (Kayla). The Meal was nothing less than what I expected from Ruth's Chris.
I would be re-missed if I did not mention our server Kayla. Kayla has a great personality and very knowledgeable of the Menu and Wines (coming from a wine enthusiast, that says a lot). From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, Kayla provided top notch service. Making great recommendations of both the food and wine. She time our meal appropriately, we did not feel rushed or had to wait for the next course, everything came out like clock work. Kayla was attentive to our needs, even ensuring that our wine glasses were filled. Kayla, what a great server one worth noting.
It was restaurant week and I introduced some friends to Ruth's Chris. As always it was a good dining experience and I believe everyone enjoyed themselves. I, of course, will be returning.

We go here once a year, disappointed to find a few of our menu stand-bys had changed (carpaccio different format, creamed spinach was not great) One member of our table got a less than ideal cut of steak. Nothing worthy of sending back or making a fuss over, but just not quite the same.
Service was excellent and attentive, and ambiance was good.

Went with some friends to Ruths Chris for restaurant week and they failed to deliver in almost every aspect. Host seemed bothered to seat us, didn’t inquire whether we wanted a table or booth, and when we asked to be seated elsewhere he was clearly annoyed, insisted we walk back to the front of the restaurant with him only and then we returned to a different table a mere ten feet from where we started. Despite being empty, service was mediocre at best. Three of our four steaks were overcooked, one was clearly well done instead of medium and was replaced. Mashed potatoes were lukewarm but by the time the server came back to check on us, we had just decided to eat them rather than ask for fresh.
Restaurant week is a perfect opportunity to showcase your restaurant and entice diners to return. Unfortunately Ruth’s Chris was a big disappointment, barely worth half of what we paid.

We have gone here for years and is my favorite steakhouse. We had a terrible server who forgot our dessert order twice and had the wrong ones brought. He was super slow and never refilled our water. We spend a lot of money there and this was a huge disappointment.
