Absolutely delicious! The sweet potato soufflé was the best I have ever eaten in my life. All the food was quick to come out after ordering and everything was mouth watering.

We went to Ruth Chris for restaurant week. The food was delicious. I had a salad, an amazing chicken dish and the bread pudding. My fellow diners had some sort of fish soup, steak with shrimp and the bread pudding. We were all very happy with I food food. The service was terrible. Our waitress, when she did pay attention to us, seemed to have her mind on something else. After we finished our entrées, she came over and said she would be back to clean up our dishes. She never came back. We waited 35 minutes until we got a busboy to come over. We asked him to find our waitress, but instead the manager came over. We explained what was going on, and she had somebody clean up our table and bring us dessert. When the manager brought our bill, she also gave her business card to us. She said she would like us to come back to the restaurant and we should call her when we do. We did not know what that meant. They did not comp any of our meal, and I am not sure that if we came back again they would comp that meal. While the food was good, the service was not. With so many restaurants in Charleston to pick from, I do not see any reason to go back there.

I was a little disappointed in the manager. Waiter was fine but the entire experience was not up to normal Ruth’s Chris standards.

Steak was overcooked and looked as if the filet was cut in half through the middle. Extremely thin to be a filet. Won’t be back.

Big disappointment. The chairs are peeling, service extremely slow even with only a few people in the restaurant. The food was cold, the bread was hard and no way fresh. It was presented very sloppy. We had such a wonderful experience at the one in Atlanta so very shocked at how different this one was. The best part of the experience was the Valet attendant, he was very nice and professional.

Valet parking in the back of the restaurant was very convenient. The staff were polite and courteous, they could’ve been a little more prompt at times but that could be attributed to the rush from restaurant week. The food was delicious as usual and our waiter was kind enough to remove one of the drinks I didn’t care for from the bar to replace it with something else. The atmosphere was well arranged for both more private, intimate dinners or social gatherings. The only thing that could’ve went more smoothly is our check in initially with only one hostess and another party needing more extenuating assistance but other than that, Overall an enjoyable evening for date night.

Food was excellent! Server was ok. She told us no one informed her about my Birthday and only offered to take back my small dish of ice cream to place a candle in it! I declined. My husband thought I should have been offed a Birthday dessert.

We were there on Friday of Restaurant Week. Had a 6 p.m. reservation but were able to be seated by 5:30. Kudos to our server, Kevin, who guided us through our selection and whose service to the table was impeccable. Kudos to the kitchen....the chicken breast for my wife and my salmon were incredible. We SHALL return.

We went there for New Years Eve for a 9:45PM reservation. The restaurant was not at all crowded, but it did appear to be shortstaffed. It took 45 minutes for the waitress to bring us our cocktails. Surprisingly we saw her bussing other tables. So we got her attention and asked where our drinks were. She told us the bartender was backlogged and jokingly my husband offered to help the bartender. In response she told my husband to go right ahead. The cocktails finally came minus the cherries for the manhattans. We asked her to please get the cherries and guess what, she forgot to bring them. We had to ask a second time. While our intent was to enjoy our cocktails before the appitizers, voilà the appitizers showed up. While other tables had bread we had none. So we had to ask for the bread. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table. The waitress did not even let my husband taste the wine before pouring into my glass and then everyone elses. Two of my friends ordered medium steaks but they were delivered well done. When we told her they were not medium she apologized and said "yeah I know". She did offer to have the two meals replaced but we all wanted to eat together. I shared my meal with my friend because his steak was not eatable. We had the manager come over he listened and he told us he would take care of us. He took the two steaks off the bill which was very nice, but did nothing about all the other mishaps. I never expected this type of service from a restaurant like Ruth's Chris. We just expected treatment that was comparable to the price we paid. Shame on you Ruth's Chris!!

1. I put in the occasion of my wife’s Birthday Celebration but no one recognized it of knew of it so why check off this during reservation if it doesn’t mean any thing.
2. Both me and my wife ordered the praline bread pudding to go but wanted to have the ice cream during dining, waitress never brought the ice cream on the side. When we got to our room and opened our boxes the attached picture is what we got in both. Just sad looking crumb in my opinion and not worth biting.
Desserts are special but this crumb ticked me off.

Very poorly managed. Had an 8:30 P reservation. Upon arrival, we were told to go to the bar and we'd be called. We weren't; when we inquired they said that we'd already been seated.
The waitress was appropriate.
Your prices are outrageous; $22.50 for two glasses of mediocre, cheap wine.
Restaurant is shabby.

Very unusual experience at this Ruth's Chris location from the very beginning. We started off our reservation with the hostess sitting us and another table at the same time which was odd, I've never seen this and I was a hostess for many years. She then made us stand at the computer in the back of the restaurant after following the other party to their table for about 5 minutes while she figured out where to put us. The main issue for us was the service, our server did not portray upscale dining at all. He never really took care of us and the wait for every time he did come to us was very long in between. After we sat down it took at least 20 mins to even get our drink order then another 20 mins to get a glass of wine. The food was good but the service was horrible and our server never seemed to care. I wish a manager would have come by at some point to voice this to him/her but that never happened either. We understand it was busy for New Years but we've been plenty of other places in Charleston for New Years and were never treated this way. It is disappointing being that this is the Ruth Chris brand and not the service we expect with that or any fine dining location.

Everything was very nice. The steak was the best I’ve ever had. Pricey but was worth it. My only complaint would be the chairs. I know that might sound weird but if I’m going to pay $50 for a steak, I want to sit in a chair that doesn’t look like it came from Goodwill. All the chairs in the dining area were old. They looked out of place and definitely didn’t provide the ambiance I was expecting.

We has a really odd expierience. We had made a reservation for 7.30. When we came to the restaurant 7.30 we were told that we have to wait in between 20 and 40 minutes to get a table. The server forgot the sauce we ordered - we got it but late, the steak ordered medium were more the well done and finally we got a check wich were not ours.
No excuses, no someting on the house, very odd, and really bad service

We would have given an overall 5 stars if we had not waited so long for our table. We had a reservation at 6.45 and were seated around 40 minutes later. I understand it was Christmas night and they were very busy but ......it all could have been managed a bit better. That said - the steaks were superb and cooked to perfection and our server Breanne was amazing - please giver her a big shout out from us - she helped make the evening very special. The wine and beer selection was excellent.

We had a reservation for Xmasday. It took a pretty long wait before our table was ready. Would have been nice if they offered all the waiting people at least a glass of water.
Our waitress was terrific. The food was good and accomodated glutenfree/vegetarian. Would have been nice if they had some glutenfree bread as well, especially since I mentioned it on the reservation AND after that long wait we were really hungry and the no glutenfree person was served with bread and my daughter and I who are glutenfree (not by choice) had to wait even longer before any of the food was served.
Pricewise I would comment that the quality was good, but 19 dollar for 4 !! shrimps is in my opnion charged way way to much.

We made our reservation at Ruth Chris a month in advance. After our table was prepared we were seated at a table that was not cleared. Dirty napkins and soiled menus made the setting appear. We felt that we were being punished and could not sit with the other adults at the main dining room.

We only got water because we asked for it. My husband ordered the special, filet and shrimp with salad and a choice of a side. He chose kale which they were out of. He was told his choice must be be from the special sides or he would have to price up.
The Ruth Chris restaurants at which we have dInked are known for great food, great service and great ambiance. One out of three is not enough. The food was excellent as usual.

We had a reservation for bar seating but when we arrived, there had been a cancellation so we were offered to sit in the main dining room which was a nice surprise. Our server was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and offered suggestions that truly added to our dining experience. The meal was excellent, the meat was cooked to perfection. We never felt rushed during our meal, even though it was Christmas day and the restaurant was packed. The server actually went out of her way to tell us not to rush but to enjoy the meal and take our time. Excellent server and excellent service.

The steak was amazing and we had a great meal! My son has severe food allergies so eating out can be tricky and worrisome. Ruth Chris did take the allergies into consideration and let us know what was acceptable for him to eat. Our waitress was not fully versed in how to deal with food allergies as I think she was new. Its not acceptable to say things like “I think he can eat that” and “I’m sure it’s fine, there are no peanuts in the bread”. I just had to have her double check with the chef a few times to confirm this and that. She was pleasant about it. All in all a great place to dine for the holidays!

We were celebrating my sister's first birthday since moving to Charleston. Make no mistake, the wait staff was wonderful! I'm sure the food was okay too but we didn't really get to eat it. There were giant fruit flies ALL over our drinks and dishes the entire meal. I didn't even realize that was possible in winter. Spent a good portion of the evening swatting flies away. It was truly disgusting and far too expensive of a meal for me to brush it off...

This was my first experience eating at Ruth's Chris Steak House. We told the server this and she was a good server but we felt we were not offered what other tables were offered. After we finished we watched as another server waited on the table next to us. They were offered bread which we were never offered. Their server served them much quicker than our server and our server was too involved with a potential catering discussion to serve us promptly. My meal was to come with a dessert which was never offered and we never received. My husband's tea was never refilled. We spent close to $120 on a meal for 2 and had water, tea, shrimp and grits, small steak and potatoes. Very disappointed.

I thought having a reservation would get us a nice table for the prices you pay. Nope, got stuck in the corner next to the kitchen. Never again.
