Unfortunately did not have a good experience with my mom and 5 year old daughter. We were in a pinch to have a nice dinner and it was starting to get a little later. I figured we would still have a lovely experience because Ruth’s Chris has a great reputation and I’ve had amazing dining experiences at other RC locations. That was totally wrong. We waited over 2 hours for our food. Our waitress took about an hour getting to our table but sent another server to get our drink orders. Why she didn’t trade at that point I have no idea. It was a busy night but the service and food was terrible. We ordered my daughter a “cheddar grilled cheese” sandwich off the kids menu. She’s a picky eater and only likes cheddar cheese. The sandwich they brought had velveeta. Why not call it a Velvetta sandwich? Once we finally ordered we waited forever for a food. Twice I asked the server for more bread. She never brought it. Asked the server who helped deliver our food for bernaise sauce. That never arrived. Then my medium rare steak and lobster arrived. Both were extremely under cooked! My steak was literally ALIVE. The lobster tail had caked on seasoning and tasted slimey. Our server made her way back to us about 30 minutes later and I told her my food was raw. She insisted on taking it back to “recook” but I asked her nicely to take it off the check. My mom was kind enough to split half her steak while we sat there for 30 minutes and it was 2+ hours we’d been sitting there total. My daughter was almost asleep at the table. The server was rude about taking my meal off the check. At some point a very socially awkward manager came by to ask about our experience. I’m assuming he heard I’d returned my food. I politely said that it wasn’t quite up to par to which he awkwardly dismissed and walked away. What was the point of that!! In the end we still paid $160 bill for the worst dining experience. Very disappointing! Would not ever recommend and don’t plan to ever go back.
Great Food Great service
I made reservations here for my 21st anniversary and my wife’s birthday.
Let me start off by saying our server was great. Attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly.
The food however was lack luster other than the Lobster Mac-n-Cheese, which was good but not great.
The menu does not reflect the actual ingredients in the food. My wife hates peppers and the Crab Stack appetizer has onions and peppers in it but the menu mentions nothing of the sort.
The steaks were NOT the best grade of meat. I order the 16 oz ribeye, medium rare, and my wife ordered the filet, medium, and shrimp. My steak came out medium to well done and her’s came out medium rare to raw. We sent them back and my came back raw with a nice sear and hers was more toward medium well done. I sent mine back again. Rather than cook us new steaks, they ran them back thru the broiler which of course dried them out. The shrimp were nothing to write home about, overcooked and flavorless.
The server was very apologetic and offered replacement sides due to the length of time on the steaks. The sides weren’t very good so getting new ones was declined.
The manager came over and made excuses that “they must have the broiler set wrong”, which is a ridiculous explanation.
Dessert was nothing special either, cheesecake with a yogurt tasting cream on top and bread pudding that was just okay.
The server knocked off the up charges and the cost of the appetizer, about 25$. After the reduction, the check with a generous tip was $180.00 for the two of us. The meal was worth maybe $50.
We have eaten at some better establishments for less money and had a much much better meal. We were extremely disappointed and will never be back.
Don’t waste your time or money!!
Sebastian was our waiter and he was amazing! So attentive, kind and very knowledgeable about the menu and even suggested his favorite menu items! It was our first time at Ruth’s Chris and the whole experience was wonderful. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming!
Great place to visit if you don’t want to cook for Thanksgiving.
We have been going to Ruth Chris Steakhouse, as a tradition, for Thanksgiving. This year there were no available times at the Atlanta Buckhead location. So we tried the Atlanta Centinnial Park location. The waiter was inexperienced overflow staff. The food servers didn’t know where to deliver the food. One of our hot appetizers was served cold. I would rate the Centinnial Park location very average. We won’t be going back to that one.
the first time to not have my mom cook and to experience something different and special on Thanksgiving. 2 in our party ordered the Thanksgiving meal and I ordered a petite filet well no pink. Our feed was served after 25 minutes of waiting and the filet was pink. Waiter lightly apologized and took it back. He brought it back again and pink. Said my apologizes and that was it. I only at the 1/2 that wasn’t pink. Tried to order the green beans and mashed potatoes but no, had to order a full thanksgiving meal to order and pay for a side. Waiter was not concerned, charged us $43 for the steak. I didn’t make a fuss as to not ruin thanksgiving for my mom and family. Very disappointing to say the least.
Not sure what the issue was. Took 45 minutes to get a bottle of Camus I ordered. Poured my Wifes champagne into a wine glass, which you could still drink but ya know. Finally received a beer that was ordered, it had sat out on counter so long, it was hot. My filet was fare however my son said the Thanksgiving dinner that was served tasted like food at their school cafeteria so I tried it and it tasted like left over turkey. Worse part was it took us FOUR hours to eat lunch. They also overcharged us and charged us for an item we didn’t receive. They did over compensate for charges when I brought it to there attention. It seemed to be an honest mistake, server was very nice but I believe it may have come down to be understaffed. I love Ruths Chris, I always choose to eat there when traveling to different cities. This is my second bad experience at this particular one. I will not give it a third try.
Ruth Chris always provides an excellent service and quality meal. Thanks to James, our server, for going above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect.
We love Ruth Chris, but they have changed the chopped salad. It used to be chopped very fine which helped blend the favors, now it’s big chunks! Our dessert of bread pudding was served room temp with a side scoop of ice cream; everybody knows bread pudding should be served warm! The steaks were great!!
The ambiance is lovely with a view of Centennial Park and the Ferris Wheel. We were there while the German Christmas Market was at the Park, and it was fun, colorful, and beautifully lit! The food was very disappointing. The appetizer of stuffed mushrooms was almost inedible. We sent it back to finish cooking! It was really mushy, raw, and tasteless--pretty awful! The Caesar salad was tasty but not authentic Caesar salad. The best part of the meal was the Porterhouse for Two. It was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly to medium rare--very tender and tasty-- but at $105, it was expensive and we expected it to be excellent, and it was very good. The potatoes au gratin were smothered in cheese--perhaps a bit too much. The service was superb. All in all, the meal was a mixed bag--food was from very bad to very good. Service and ambiance were better than the meal!
It was our anniversary and we had a phenomenal experience!! They had a romantic table set up for us, our waiter was AWESOME, and the food was OUTSTANDING!! Thank you for making a special occasion unforgettable !! We will be back and now customers for life!!
The restaurant was out of multiple things we tried to order. It took 30 mins to get a drink from the bar 👎🏼
The food items were hit or miss. The calamari and barbeque shrimp appetizers were great but the t-bone was average at best. The server was good but the service time was very lacking for all parts of the meal. By the time the entrees finally came out, we were ready to leave. An overall average experience at a costly price. I doubt I will return!
Great meal and very good portions. Nice wine selection too.
Absolutely I would recommend this restaurant! The food was awesome and my steak was cooked to perfection! The staff goes way above all to make you feel special!
Wonderful dining experience for my Wife's birthday
Yes I would recommend Ruth’s Chris to a friend. We noted a couple flaws to our experience. When your location is overlooking Centennial Olympic Park you should take advantage of it. There were only two other tables dining near us. A table of two by the windows and a table of about ten people two tables from the window seating. My mother and I were sat next to the table of ten. Two of which were small children carrying on and playing their technology quite loudly. We asked to move to a seat at the window. We were moved after the table was set for us. I would have preferred to be seated near the window overlooking the park the first time around. Our server was great but super busy. We like our server to be attentive and overwhelmed servers can not be as attentive. Our meals were mixed. Bread was delicious. Mom’s garden salad was delicious while my Caesar salad was a tad dry. Streaks were seasoned perfectly and absolutely delicious. I asked for well done no pink. Three quarters of my steak was cooked to perfection the last quarter was quite pink. This disappointed me greatly. When you pay top dollar for a steak at a steak house you expect the chef to know how to cook it properly. Our waitress brought out a sizzling hot plate for me to cut my steak and finish cooking it. Never again will I go to Ruth’s Chris and finish cooking my own steak. Not acceptable. Mashed potatoes were delicious and the strawberry shortcake was fair. Nothing was gong to taste as good after I had to sear part of a $150 meal.
Great! Waiter was awesome.
Arrived on time for our reservations. Restaurant appeared less than busy but took 10-15 minutes to get seated. When we did sit, there were plenty of empty tables. Waiters came pretty quickly and we informed them of having to be at a concert in 1.5 hours (from original reservation time around the corner at State Farm.) Waiter said he would be back in two minutes to take order. More like 10. Salad came out with wrong dressing but others received theirs as ordered. Drinks refilled once entire meal even though one diner’s glass was clearly empty. Entree arrived with less than 1/2 hour to concert and we had to ask waiter to bring check right away. Side dish was ordered without honey butter due to dairy free request but delivered made with butter. Dessert was part of three course meal ordered by two individuals but of course we were out of time and no apology or discount was offered. Can’t say I will eat at this Ruth Chris again unless we have all the time in the world and want so-so service.
Ruths Chris is Always a good dining experience. Very close to State Farm Arena
The flavor of the food was good, but rough around the edges. Soup arrived very lukewarm. Drinks were very slow in coming. Manager comped the drinks which was appreciated, but shouldn't have been an issue to start with. Took a long time for waiter to pick up and run bill after we placed credit card for payment. For the high level of the prices, it should have been a much more well-run operation.
It was very good. Food was great, though I had to send my steak back because it wasn’t cooked to order. Service, location, and atmosphere were perfect.
Dined here before a concert during a date weekend away. What a treat, as usual! Very friendly service, dependably good food, and always a place that celebrates you as their guest. Ruth’s Chris has always been our “special occasion place” and will continue. Our favorite menu items: New York Strip, au gratin potatoes, and bread pudding! (Though the celebration cheesecake was fantastic as well!) Thanks for another great experience!
The steak was overcooked but we were so hungry we just decided to go with it. It also took an incredibly long time to get our cocktails and we ended up only drinking one round because of the wait.
Service was great; steaks, appetizer and wine awesome; salads had way too much dressing, but we were taken care of when we complained. We were celebrating our anniversary and could have had a much better table- we faced the kitchen m, it was too bright and had lots of traffic go by us... so noisier than we would have preferred. They did have paper rose petals decorate the table since they had known it was our anniversary....
Dinner before Elton John Concert
Excelent food, great location, good service, recommended for just a dinner or for a celebration
Service was poor but the food was great. Appetizer was forgotten and we felt a little bit neglected.
Slow to clear dinner plates.
Best experience ever!
Great location. Steaks were fantastic. The sides were so-so. Service was pretty good.
ALWAYS A PLEASURE EATING AT CENNTINAL RUTH CHRIS.... IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY, I RECEIVED A COMPLIMENTARY APPETIZER & DESERT... THANKS🤩
Food and wine was great, but got suckered into. $43 glass of wine. I guess my mistake for not asking the price.
We ran about ten minutes late because of issues with the weather and the maitre d' was very pleased to see us there safely, if not a little wet. We were seated almost immediately and greeted by a precious waiter who was very accommodating... even having the bartender look up drinks that were no longer on the drink menu. The food was excellent... I would highly recommend the crab cake appetizers. There was no delay in getting our check, as we were on our way to a concert and in a bit of a time crunch. A wonderful experience overall.
Ordered a Medium filet , it was chewy, meat appeared to be cooked correct (color) but meat quality was poor.
Filet not as tender as other Ruth's Chris we usually visit. Sat next to a loud table in a quiet section. Scott, our server, was outstanding!
We decided to sit at a booth by the bar to enjoy happy hour, then ended up staying there for dinner. Our server did not write down any of our order, which resulted in numerous mistakes. First, I ordered Cabernet, and was brought Chardonnay. Then, for dinner, my side was supposed to be au gratin broccoli, but I was brought mashed potatoes. I ordered steak and shrimp, and the shrimp were not cooked. They were still gray and looked fresh out of the seafood display. After my shrimp were re-cooked, the manager brought out my broccoli, only it was not au gratin, as I ordered. She took it back and eventually I got my au gratin broccoli. For our trouble, we got to upgrade to the premium dessert for no charge, but nothing else off the bill. We visit Ruth Chris in every city we travel to, and this was by far our worst experience. The staff was also not very apologetic about the mistakes. When I pointed out the wine issue, our waiter said “ok” and took it back and brought me the correct wine. No apology on return either.
Had to wait to be seated
The food was good except we didn’t get the entire meal all together.lobster&mac came out extremely late
