Ruth's Chris Steak House - Centennial Park

Very poor service and average food. Meals came before the salad, shrimp was over cooked, steaks were dry, etc. The salad and spinach were excellent though! And all of that could have been forgiven if the server would have at least made contact with us or been somewhat attentive. The manager was very responsive and kind. I just expected more from a high end steak house. There are much better places to dine in Atlanta.
Had a great time for my husband’s birthday! Wonderful service and food!
I’ve visited several Ruth’s Chris restaurants. The food Centennial Park was just an “Outback” type experience at double the price. Was very disappointed based on my prior meals in Baltimore and Salt Lake City. Will be different to get my wife to return as this was her first experience at Ruth’s.
Everything was perfect. Our steaks were cooked just right and the seafood tower was excellent. We were early so they were not very busy. Great overall experience!
We dined at this restaurant two nights in a row (client dinners). At BOTH dinners, the steaks were swapped when delivered so the person who wanted medium got the medium rare and vice versa. This happened BOTH nights with different servers. Very frustrating as each night, someone had their filet overcooked. Didn't want to complain in front of clients or have a client wait to have another steak delivered. Also, the au gratin potatoes were undercooked on the first night. The brussel sprouts were fair but not great. I dine at other RCSH and those experiences are much better than what we experienced this week. With all the options in Atlanta, I recommend going to another steakhouse.
I visit Atlanta twice a year but I always make it Ruth Chris’s for a great dinner
Food took over an hour to be delivered to the table
There aren’t a lot of options in downtown Atlanta and I try to avoid chains, but this steakhouse is a solid choice when in the area. The service is terrible. My party had three different menus. The cocktail menu is on an iPad so they are always trying to take in away. Most of the food is solid.
The shellfish tower is a great value and delicious. The steak and broiled lobster are great. The spinach salad is odd, but overall a good place if you don’t mind odd service with decent food
Everything was superb!! Wonderful time
I wished that I remembered our Servers name because she was AWESOME. Really cute, Asian young lady with a bob and wore glasses. She was really personable and extremely attentive. Our food was OH MY! DELICIOUS!! I think that I chewed every bite with my eyes closed. Hands down the absolute best mac n cheese that I’ve had in my life.
Upon check in .. I gave my name to the 1 of 4 people standing behind the counter... then stood there , not knowing we’re to go ... she just looked at me , and instructed, just sit over there .,. It would have been Nice to tell us , have seat at the bar , and we’ll call you when you table was ready... but we were just left standing there , not knowing if our table was ready , or ,if it would be a few minutes.. we weren’t the only ones feeling that way ... kindest goes a long way ... a manager did come over and apologized.. and bought me a glass of wine ... our waitress was awesome...
Even though we had made reservations well in advance, we still had to wait 30 minutes pass our reserve time to be seated. Then we told our waitress that we were in a hurry due to us being seated late because we were going to the Celine concert. So they brought out our bread and salads fairly fast.... then we waited and waited for our entree. Approximately 40 minutes later our steaks were delivered. The concert started at 7:30 and it was now 7:40. We went ahead and paid as soon as our steaks were brought to the table .. I did not even finish my steak and I was upset. The female manager apologized and gave us a 40 gift card for future use for our $120 meal plus 20% tip. My steak was overcooked and we took our dessert with us which we ended up throwing away because we didn’t have an opportunity to eat the bread pudding until after the concert. It tasted terrible anyway.
Half hour delay in getting seated. Reservation was for 5pm, seated at 5:30pm. Unacceptable.
Service person was wonderful!!
Great location great staff
Service was great! Trina was amazing! The atmosphere was lovely with the skyline showing through the dining area. Everyone was wonderful including valet!
My waitress was so cool and a good waitress.. She looked Korean (sorry) with a side cut to her hair and I think her names started with an A! Awesome person
Amy was an excellent server! Food was delicious and came out timely...
We agreed we never get a bad meal at Ruth’s Chris!
Everything was excellent except our server Maddison was a little slow at times. We also had to ask for bread as she didn’t notice that we hadn’t been given any.
I was completely disappointed with just about the entire Ruth's Chris experience. We went to dinner on New Year's Eve, as we thought it would be a nice place to ring in the New Year. There was no ringing in of the New Year at all.. The staff did not pass out hats or tiara's. There was not a champagne toast. There was not even a countdown to the New year. It was the worst experience I have ever had for a New Year's Eve dinner. The restaurant management staff had to be nonexistent! At no point was there any attempt to celebrate the New Year. We didn't even know it was the New Year until other patrons started standing up and saying Happy New Year to one another. It makes me mad all over again just thinking about the experience. Ruth's Chris . The best part of the night was the hostess. She was pleasant and very organized.
We went for NYE dinner, the server was good but the food wasn’t as I expected or what I recall from visiting the buckhead location. The playing was sloppy and the food lacked flavor. I had Lamb, spinach and sweet potatoes. I probably won’t be back to this location.
Was sat near an open kitchen leading to a loud and less than pleasurable view of the behind the scenes action.
My husband’s Birthday
The restaurant was understaffed. The bartender was by himself and the bar was relatively full. Service was slow. The steaks were over cooked. We got some crab for the salad and the serving size for the price was ridiculously. The soft drinks did not have free refills despite paying a little over $100 a person to eat there. Then the credit card machine was not working so I had to wait about 20 minutes to pay my bill.
I've dined at Ruth's Chris for 40 years and at multiple cities and this was the WORST dining experience I ever had at a Ruth's Chris. I'm so disappointed that Ruth's Chris lost a future customer!
I had reservations and was there much earlier We got to the table around 9 pm. We didn’t get our food till 1130. I was so tired I didn’t complain. Steak was order medium rare and it came out well done. Chop
Salad came out wrong. We sent it back. Had way to much red onion. Just overall way to long.
We had an 845pm reservation. We ordered and did not get our food until 11:15. The waiter (Sabastian) kept us informed of the delays. We asked to speak to a manager, the lady (cannot remember her name) cam over and tried to blame the waiter, basically saying she will look into what he did wrong. I corrected her that he was very polite, kept us informed and he was not at fault. We had a 7 year old, by now he is climbing the walls due to the wait. Steaks came out finally and they were all under cooked. They were cooked to rare or medium rare at best. Almost everyone just ate half the meal, Sabastian asked if we would want to send the steaks back, we declined because we were just ready to go. We have ate at several Ruth's and this my bar far the worst experience. Besides the 9 people at our table we have another table of 4 come with us.
Our particular waitress was horrible. 20-30 minutes between visits to the table. Food came out all wrong. I suspect that had something to do with our server. Hard to enjoy the food when you spend $230 for two and are treated to such abysmal service. Would never dine at this restaurant again. Go to Morton’s.
The service is excellent and my food was fantastic. I was in Atlanta at Ruth's for the SEC Championship. And the bar service was a struggle. This time I made a reservation, and you guys knock it out of the park.
All the best, Justin
Ate here before SEC game and again before the semi-final football games. Excellent food and service!!!
Great food friendly service
Did not bring us our soap
Brought wrong potatoes
Meat was not cooked properly or to order
Serves was slow
No excuses. Do not care the LSU vs OK playoff game as in town very poor service and food.
When we arrived, we waited to get a drink at the bar and were never served. Courtney our server was great and a bright spot on our experience. My steak did not have any butter in the dish. Inconsistent on a busy night. Not up to Ruth Chris standards-my go to for friends and family gatherings.
The service was extremely poor. Our cocktails took forever to come and nobody ever asked if we would like another. Our salads came out and were not what we ordered. Our steaks were overcooked. Part of our daughter’s order was not brought to us and they forgot our desserts! Very disappointing when you are there to celebrate someone’s birthday!!!
FOOD WAS GREAT. I THOUGHT SERVICE WAS MEDIOCRE FOR A RUTH CHRIS'. IT WAS THE WEEKEND OF THE PEACH BOWL AND THEY WERE PACKED. JUST FEEL LIKE THEY WERE UNDER STAFFED. WE WAITED OVER 15 MINUTES AFTER OUR RESERVATION. OUR WAITER WAS VERY FRIENDLY BUT WE RAN OUT OF DRINKS MORE THAN ONCE. WILL RETURN, BUT JUST A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED.
Food was absolutely fantastic. The server was either new or needs more training.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would for the food, but the service needs work.
Service was great, but the food was not. Order medium well lamb chops, they came out rare. Got them cooked up, it was brought back burnt. The seafood Mac was very good other than that everything else was blah. This was my first time dining at Ruth Chris & it may be awhile before I come back
We had a great dinner with great service. The the staff was pleasant and the locations was great also.
We have eaten at this location every Christmas for several years and each year it seems the quality decreases. For starters they seated our large party right next to the kitchen where it was so loud and right in the path of every server. The steaks were served on plates that were NOT 500 degrees. When we have eaten there before and I cut into my meat it would sizzle on the plate, not this time. The plates were only warm to the touch. 3 of our meats were not cooked as ordered and my baked potato was definitely not a pound weight and not worth the price paid.
I go to RUTH Chris every year for Christmas dinner. This year the Buckhead location was full and we choose the Centennial Park location. Our reservation was at 2:45pm we were not seated until around 3:30pm. That was a little upsetting because they were not busy and we hade scheduled plans after dinner. I imagined it would take an hour and a half to eat but even so we did not get our food on the table until after 4:20pm. If they were busy I could have understood but they were not. The sweet potato casserole would’ve been good if it was not so burnt on the top. It was too hard to eat. The wait staff was excellent, checking up on us every few minutes to make sure everything was satisfactory. I’m not familiar with this location and will not be running here anytime soon.
