Ruth's Chris Steak House - Buckhead Ratings and Reviews
I was fairly disappointed in our meal and the restaurant. I’ve been to Ruth Chris before, and thought I knew what to expect. This location has seen it’s better days. It’s run down and in desperate need of renovation.
The food was meh. When paying $50+ for a steak, 1.) I expect not to have to return it to the kitchen for being over cooked and 2.) I expect it to be a quality cut of meat.
Thankfully we had a great wait staff, that made it easier to enjoy mediocre food.
Service this is where they shine. Quality of food average at best, my wife ask for her steak to be done all the way threw (WELL DONE NO PINK) came out rare, we sent it back. As for my steak it was OK not up to the standard or quality they promote. Great look, service, if only the food was what they said it would be. Have eaten several times other Ruth Chris locations and the food far exceeded this location.
We ordered petite filets and an order of asparagus. The food was too heavily salted. The steaks were OK, just too much finishing salt. The asparagus was not edible because it was so heavily salted. We have eaten at several Ruth Chris’ before and enjoyed them. This was a very bad experience. The ambiance leaves a lot to be desired as it is in the lobby of an Embassy Suites hotel, so you a re looking up at balconies. But the major problem was bad food! Will not eat here again!
This Ruth's was great! We were seated quickly, and handled with care the entire time we were there. The food was amazing, so I want to send my thanks to the chef! I have no complaints, and our waiter Mark was absolutely adorable, and very good at hos art! We're planning another group meal soon and they're already suggesting that we go back here! I'm guessing we'll be back sooner than later! Thanks for an awesome dining experience!
Experience was at best, eh. Went on a double date there and both wives ordered their meal medium well as they cannot consume undercooked meat. When they arrived, both were medium rare. Pink in the center to the point where the texture resembled almost raw. Waiter took them back and returned with them both extremely dried out. You could tell they just threw them under the broiler and just sucked the moisture out. The other two of us ordered the same cut and temperature and mine was over cooked and a subpar cut. It wasn’t worth bothering to send it back. With all the other steakhouses in Atlanta, don’t bother with RC. Much better options out there.
We frequent RC around the country and have never seen anything like this Food and service were good BUT its a high end steakhouse located in a lower end hotel. Hard to get into a nice meal when you are staring at people in a pool and looking right into their rooms. We would not ever choose this location again
For a nice get together with friends, Ruth Chris is usually a wonderful choice. We brought our own special bottle of wine and the sommelier opened it and aerated it for us. Once he left, our server was clueless on how to serve the wine and what to do with the second bottle. One steak was over cooked. We had to repeated ask for more water. She was not on top of her service game. The only reason service was given Good was because of the sommelier. Oh did I say it took us 20 minutes to get our car from valet.
In the past, We have enjoyed dinner at many Ruth’s chris steak house locations in multiple states. I would not recommend this location. We had dinner for two special occasions in two weeks. Both times we sent many meals back. The last time we dined, a medium filet was served completely raw in the center. When the filet sent back and served again, the filet was served with the .25 inch outside well done and the middle raw. The third time the filet was served 1inch was well done and the center raw. I wanted to ask If the filet had been microwaved??
When the filet was sent back for the third time our waitress was quite nasty. No comment from the manager.
The restaurant was not busy and made mistake, a simple apology would have been nice.
Don’t ruin you dinning event by eating at this location
Was taking out a top performing business unit and the leader asked to go here. I had not been to Ruth's Chris so it seemed like a good idea. It was cold that night in Atlanta and they put us at a table next to a sliding door that seemed to be the cut through to the bathroom so we kept having to close it to keep the cold draft out. Our server was unenthusiastic bordering on surly. Appetizer of stuffed mushrooms was very good, but the gumbo and calamari was quite plain. The steaks were served on these tiny plates just barely bigger than the steaks> Maybe that was to make the steaks look bigger which they needed since it was hard for me to believe my steak was the size they claimed it to be. However it also left no room on the plate for any of the vegetables. Squash was good, lobster mac and cheese OK. Brussel sprouts and creamed spinach you should pass on. The steaks were fine, though not special. Also when you pay you bill the server stands over your shoulder with the credit card machine that has default tip settings that are above what they should be since they include the tax in the calculation, and it times out if you don't put it in fast enough. To adjust the tip you have to go thorough another selection, again with the server standing over you. Oh, and is you want a good laugh take your leftovers to go. We were provided with very small boxes that the server shoved all the food in together. Our friend who had a T-bone cut her leftovers into pieces to make it fit and the bone did not fit anyway. Yeah, if someone else suggests this place again I just offer one of the many really good steak places in Atlanta instead.
Very very disappointed at our experience at Ruth Chris Buckhead. Ruth Chris has always been one of my Dads favorite places and he really wanted to take his family there for our celebration. Not only is the hotel lobby freezing and the ridiculous constant opening and closing of the main doors leaves the dining room uncomfortable but it took 15 minutes for us to get waters. Then even longer for our first round of drinks. 2nd round I didn’t think would ever show up. We didn’t bother with a 3rd round. They didn’t bring my brothers soup with all our salads and forget the shrimp on his entree. My steak was over cooked (I ordered medium rare)and both my brother and I’s shrimp were intensely over cooked. My sister did say her tuna steak was very good and my Dad liked his ribeye a lot. The dinner ended up being way too long for a small party and it wasn’t due to us lingering. Even with some of the food being good, we were all disappointed. Will not be going back to the Buckhead location.
It was too cold. The venue is actually in the center atrium of the Embassy Suites. New Year's Eve was extremely cold and the restaurant was just as cold. We've dined at Ruth Chris downtown and in other states and have always enjoyed. This Ruth Chris is in an unfortunate location that should never be visited during the cold months.
This was the first time I've ever been to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. The ambiance was very warm and inviting and my seat request was honored as I asked for a cozy space inside the restaurant. Mark and Victoria served us and were extremely attentive to our requests and tastes. The food was exquisite and the steak came sizzling just as the radio advertisements say. I would recommend this restaurant for special date nights, as well as any special occasion.
While the food was good, I was very disappointed at how the evening ended. I had called ahead to ask for them to bring out a dessert for my nephew's birthday and it never happened. Our waiter, who was fine, asked if we wanted dessert and showed us the dessert menu. It's as if I never made the request. I did not say anything because my nephew would have heard me complain. The fact that a nice restaurant can't communicate a simple request when they assured me they would take care of this when I called, is just bad service. I will not return to this place for a special occasion. The food was good, but my salad came out at the same time the main course was served. Again, bad service. Not up to par with the other nice steakhouses in Buckhead.
