Service was great. Food not so much. The crab cakes were really good. Steak and spinach subpar to say the least. If I returned it would be for the crab cakes only.
I really enjoyed my experience today. This was my first time out in months after quarantine and I felt safe and my experience was amazing. Devine W was fast, efficient, and personable. I will be visiting this location in the future thank you for the hospitality.
Restaurant was it’s normal excellent experience sans the multitude of folks because of the Coronavirus warnings.
Always love the wait staff and the food, always the best.
Frank, the waiter was “Awesome”! He’s definitely personable and does an outstanding job. His personality made our dinner even more enjoyable. Thank you Frank!
Service wasn’t what we expected based on previous experiences at other Ruth’s Chris locations. Constantly had to request refills and ask for plates. Calamari was soggy and not very warm. Crab cakes weren’t very crispy and tasted a bit sandy. The steak was good. The price paid was not a reflection of the service and food received.
We had not been to a Ruth's Chris in 20 years, but decided to take my son to the Buckhead location to celebrate his birthday. This restaurant is located in the Embassy Suites Buckhead, which is currently under renovation and it was a BIG pain to even get to the hotel entrance. There was a line of cars backed up onto Peachtree waiting to get in and it took us close to 15 minutes to make it to the lobby. The main doors are blocked for the renovation and the entrance is not very well marked. Once inside we were seated and the service from Devine was good. We told her it was my son's birthday, hoping for something at the end in the way of a dessert with a candle, which we saw other's getting all around us. That never happened although she again wished him a happy birthday at the end of the meal. She was usually close by when we needed her and the food was good, although the steaks were more rare than the medium-rare we requested. All-in-all, it wasn't a bad meal, but waiting for our car took another 15-20 minutes and then another 10 minutes just to get out of the hotel driveway and onto the street. I would not recommend this location to anyone until the renovation is done and even then, not sure we'll be back. It's a hassle and not worth the wait. We prefer Fleming's and they will be our go to going forward when we want a fine dining experience.
I took my husband here for his birthday! Our experience from the time we checked in until the time we left, was AMAZING! The ambiance and atmosphere was perfect, and the staff very friendly. I noted in my reservations that we were celebrating a birthday, and they sprinkled "happy birthday" confetti on our table! Our server, Tristan, was very knowledgeable of the menu and very accommodating. He even told us as good spot, to catch a vibe and relax, after dinner. This place was one of my husband's dream places to eat, and the staff here made his experience even better!
Lobster tail ordered on hot plate was cold. Never came out cold before. Things seem to be thrown together close to closing. Moscato wine was great. Waiter came every now and again to the table. No one asked to deshell my lobster tail.
Very good food but the setting is so off putting. I think if RC as a high end steakhouse experience. My regular RC is in the Vandy area of Nashville. Classic club feel. Warm lighting, wood and a special feel.
Made this reservation in the Buckhead RC. Keep in mind it is in an Embassy Suites Lobby. At least the lobby is undergoing a renovation. Valet parking is a cluster out front. Uber or Lyft. The front desk staff warmly greeted us and made a point of wishing us a happy 17th anniversary. Kudos. Most restaurants do not read the special notes in the open table app. They also brought us a small anniversary cheesecake. The dinning room was such a disappointment. See pics. Almost empty on a Sat night at 8:00. It was so dated and looked like a run of the mill hotel bar. Bright white overhead lights were distracting and very unflattering to patrons or food.
Waiter, Dan, was a standout though. He provided great service and just the right amount of attention. The other guests in the dinning room looked and dressed like hotel guests. Did not appear that anyone saw this as a destination restaurant otherwise. Had to ask for a battery operated “candle” but it didn’t help much.
Food was very good but wines were expensive and food should be good for $186.00 before taxes. That was 2 Prix Fix meals plus an extra appetizer plus 2 martinis and 2 glasses of wine.
I would never come back here. Too many great steakhouses in Atlanta. Rathbun’s Steak, Marcel, even Houston’s. Plus there are so many great restaurants in Buckhead where you could walk.
Food was delicious, service was exceptional even in the middle of renovations.. great place!
Yummy food and they decorated the table for Valentine’s Day even though two day’s had passed and they gave me a rose!
The food was great. Atmosphere was amazing. Our waiter was friendly. We will be back.
Very expensive but the service was outstanding. Frank was the best
The hotel where the restaurant is located was undergoing renovation. With that said, we were celebrating a day late Valentines Day. The staff went out of their way to make the evening special. Our server, Adam, was one of the best we have ever experienced. My wife and I have eaten at top restaurants in New York, Chicago, Kansas City, etc. and Adam ranks in our top 3 servers! Our meal was perfectly prepared. We both opted for the Chef’s 3 course dinner. We both ordered the 11 oz. filet, mashed potatoes and Cesar salads. I would definitely go back again and recommend it!
Everything was wonderful!
To be avoided until the remodel is done. Granted, it was Valentines night, so you have to adjust your expectations, but the filet's were more stewed than broiled, definitely grey as opposed to any char. The side dishes were mixed. The potatoes were fine, but the corn was aged. it was wilted and a little dry, definitely not fresh. I am here in ATL for 2 weeks so my wife flew in from Dallas instead of me flying home, and this experience was a disappointment. When she accompanies me or flies in for my weekly travel we typically go out one night for a "nice" (expensive) meal and this was the disappointment of the past year. I have had great meals at Ruth's Chris in Dallas, Chicago and St. Louis, so I will return, but not to this location until the remodel is done and the issues are worked out.
Fantastic food and great service.
I went to celebrate my birthday. It was my first time dining there, and I was very pleased. I have plans on returning soon!
Love this place!!! Always great customer service and great food.
Food and service was outstanding! I will definitely be returning!
Outstanding customer service. Our server Matt P went above and beyond. I would definitely come here again for my next anniversary.
The food and service were excellent as usual at Ruth’s Chris.
What spoiled this evening for us was the extraordinary and unacceptable behaviour of the young families at a neighbouring table who considered it acceptable not only to hold video calls on their mobile phones, but also to change the diapers of not one but two of their babies on the floor between our tables.
My wife and I have never been confronted with such behaviour in any restaurant in our travels, let alone a top-end one. If I had been the manager of this restaurant I would have marched the whole group clean out the door and told them never to return.
They are renovating now, but still good as ever
Great food and atmosphere
Dirty plates left on table slow service and it was slow. The bread was hard and when I asked for the raisin bread that some Ruth’s chris have the guy did not understand me. I asked him 4 times. I was not impressed this time. The place was under construction and the girl at the front could not dine my reservation and it took her 5+ mins to get our table ready. It was not a great experience and we eat at Ruth ls chris all over the world. From Japan to hawaii. I would rather eat at the Kennasaw location from now on. When they came out to cut the steak to split I got a really small 1/2...... it just was not a great experience. The server was ok though. He tried. I don’t know if I will give them another chance. At least not that location. Also the manager did a quick swing by, asked if it’s ok...? Did not even come to the table just dip by and out. She was not on the ball.
Our server, Mike, was outstanding and the food is always great. Thank you for the personal "Happy Birthday" touches.
Everything was great.
Have been here many times. In the past there has been problems with the hostess enforcing the business casual dress code.
This time there was not problem. There were people who were not dressed business casual, but they were seated in the bar and not the dining room. If it were me I would not even let them in the bar, but as long as they are not in the dining room I am good.
Our dinner was excellent, Filet and Touranado. We knew the hotel was under construction but once we were in the restaurant, there was a continuous stream of people going in and out to the bar. It was very difficult to enjoy our time together.
