If I could have given Suzanne, our server, 6 stars I would! Experience was great. Good wine and some nice recommendations to add to our meal. This is a wonderful restaurant, for a nice meal. You should treat yourself
The NY Strip is on point...with bleu cheese crusting it’s like heaven on earth. Side dishes were also good, recommend the cream spinach. Improvements: always have skim milk. A lot of people can’t drink coffee black or with half/half or whole milk. For the price, you should go to the local walgreens and pick up skim...just sayin.
Also, wait staff is okay...could be a bit more patient with customers who are deciding on a meal that is $150+ for 2 people. You’ll get a better tip for the patience.
Our wait staff was outstanding. She was just so accommodating, attentive and a lot of fun! Can't wait to go back!
Graduation. They gave the graduate a cake. Which was a nice touch
Prices are extremely high and you can get comparably good , if not better, food at other steak houses in Boston. However, it is still delicious food. The service is fantastic.
Our table was small for two in the way of traffic. Dishes weren’t cleared soon enough. So the table was very cluttered . Waitress wasn’t well versed. Way too much butter and stuffed potato didn’t taste fresh. My husband got his drink and I waited another 10 minutes for mine .
Anniversary meal and we were well taken care of. Great service, hospitality and ambiance.
Birthday celebration for son exceeded expectations . Exceptional service, food, attention to details. All wonderful , highly recommend and would come again.
Wait staff was very nice when we saw them, but severely understaffed.
Outstanding food. Outstanding service. Well worth the money. Great experience.
Great experience from food to ambiance. A must try when in Boston.
Food was excellent service was excellent overall I give this 5 stars we will be back thank you
The food was so good that my kids who never eat anything devoured their whole adult sizes steaks. Service was fantastic!
Food was excellent, nice cozy environment with our table in the vault. Service was wonderful as one would expect.
I wish I wrote down the waitress’ name as she was spectacular. The food is always good at any Ruths Chris. The noise was that NOISE, NOISE, NOISE. They can’t control loudmouths. Everything else was great.
We had a wonderful time some of my family was very happy with their steak. Others said it was ok... mine included. My plate was so hot that the butter was sizzling on it and burned. So the outside of the steak tasted like burnt butter. My one year old granddaughter was next to me reaching at everything so I had to move my plate far way so she wouldn’t get burned. Service was very good waiter was so nice. But I have to say that the Ruth Chris in NYC has much better food. Sorry Boston.
We had a great meal and loved our waiter Justin.
It’s the best food and service I’ve had in a long time
I really enjoyed myself for my birthday here. Everything was excellent thanks so much !!!
I have eaten at many Ruth restaurants over the years and they have always been wonderful. My filet was over cooked when it arrived at the table and of course continued to cook on the hot plate. Salad dishes not removed before dinner arrived. Saw our waiter once after we ordered. Poor!
Best steak ever! Pricey. Lower level seating felt subterrean.
Tried eating here twice, and both times were equally disappointing. The service starts out great & then fizzles to bare minimum as the night goes on. Food wasn’t up to par for industry standards and drink service took incredibly long (10+ minutes after being ordered). We weren’t checked in on after each course until it was entirely too late to complain. I reached out to them about our issues and they still never got back to me, which shows a lot. There are many steakhouses in Boston to not be on point with service/food all the time. I will not be back or recommend to anyone.
Food and service was absolutely amazing!!!
Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Boston is an excellent restaurant with very good food and very good service. The restaurant is very consistent in both food preparation and in service delivery. The ambiance is quite nice and all of the service providers are all well trained and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the restaurant.
Very understandable venue.
I had a party of 7 and do to circumstances some of them showed up late, but they were super understanding on waiting for us and accommodating us do to some us being delayed.
My family, party of 5, had a fantastic evening. Perfect steaks served by Kim - She was terrifc.
Outstanding food, nice ambiance, very friendly and helpful service - will definitely go back. Perfect for a special event or birthday!
Excellent food as always. Our server was amazing with perfect recommendations. Amazing service from the restaurant when I accidentally dropped a credit card and it was found in the restaurant.
The service was as always impeccable. Our server Tabitha did a lovely job and the manager was just as fabulous, checking and helping on us throughout the meal. Food is to die for always. Such a treat! Easily our favorite restaurant in Boston.
The food was fantastic and service was great. Definitely coming back.
We’ve spent more than a dozen significant dates at this restaurant and always had an incredible experience. Last night was very disappointing- mediocre at best. Our service was inattentive and lackluster. Our steaks were served sizzling but our sides were left on a tray across the room. By the time the waiter found them and served them, they were cold and he handed them to the wrong people. Dessert was served without taking a coffee order. Overall very disappointing.
If given the chance to do over, I would significantly reduce the salt content.
Ruth's Chris is our favorite steak restaurant. we go there several times a year. However, this time, the steak was not as melt in your mouth delicious as usual, and the service, although good, was not as fantastic as usual. Overall, a little disappointing.
There was 6 of us all out celebrating our birthdays!! We lack loved our steaks so flavorful and cooked perfect... I would definitely go back. We had a Caesar salad to start with then I got the rib eye and we had Mac and cheese that was excellent and the hash browns were out of this world!!
Not the best experience. Both me and my wife got the petite filets. Mine was like you would expect (looks like the picture they always advertise. Hers not so much. It was long and fat at one end and skinny on the other end so it was cooked medium like she wanted at the fat end but well at the skinny portion. This was quickly fixed by the waiter as soon as my wife cut into the steak. Almost like he knew it was an issue when he brought it over. The replacement steak was brought out quickly but again I wouldn’t say that steak matched the expectations for what you would expect from Ruth Chris. We won’t be rushing back.
Server Sam was very pleasant and accommodating to our party. She did a great job. The food was all delicious as well.
We had a party of five and our table was downstairs far away from the main dining room. We actually saw a couple guests complain and get moved out of that section during our dinner. It was far from the ambience we expected being in such a beautiful historic building. She had to apologize that the bar was backed up and our appetizers came out before the drinks.
I gave my valet ticket to the hostess who said it would be 5 minutes. After waiting 35 minutes I went back inside and the hostess couldn’t believe I was still waiting. She said she tried to call the valet but they didn’t answer. That’s when I requested to speak to the manager who came out and had no regard to my complaint. She pretty much said, “ well it’s a Third party company so I’ll convey the feedback to them”
After spending $1,000 on dinner the least she could have offered was to bring us inside from the rain and buy us a drink. The experience should be perfect at Ruth’s Chris and this experience was far from that.
Best steak in Boston!
Don't forget the shrimp app....
A seat at the bar overlooks the graveyard
Lots of shakers and movers in there.....
My husband 11 oz fillet mignon was great, my 6 oz was cooked medium as I asked, but was a tough piece.
Overall a nice dining experience. Food was good, service was very good. The wines are pricey by the glass and the selection is average for individual glasses. For what they charge for a glass a wine, they can afford to offer the better wines.
