Ruth's Chris Steak House - Birmingham Ratings and Reviews
NOWHERE BETTER. The best food, WONDERFUL service, the servers, greeters everyone who came to our table were absolutely fantastic. I could go on and on but the bottom line is, there is absolutely nothing I would change. Nothing. Thanks to everyone who contributed to our wonderful evening together.
Our Ruth’s Chris visit was eventful this time! My chair went beyond the floor edging and I found myself on my back in the floral garden. My wife was soaked as I snatched the table cloth to catch my fall. We were placed at another table and our dinner was complimentary. Manager Cedric Castro and waiter Justin showed great care. Sore, wet, and eventful but still a great visit. As always, we will be back... soon!
You asked. Ordered the stuffed mushrooms. No where did it mention they were SPICY. Had to eat buttered bread to cool my mouth. Ordered off the pre fixe menu (big mistake). Ceaser salad was good. Steak cooked perfectly, but hard to chew. 6 oz filet and I was tired of chewing after 1/2 the steak. Got the mushroom coucous as a side, asked the waiter all about it, never mentioned there were peas in it. (Husband hates peas). The highlight of the meal was the CREAMED SPINACH, it is the BEST! We have celebrated our anniversary there before and was served a special dessert and our waiter, Justin, did not offer that. (He knew it was our anniversary and did not seem interested.) It was our 40th ... a big one! If I come back, will not order steak off the pre fixe menu. There was a man dressed in black going around and asking how things were, I was not going to embarass my husband by speaking up.
2nd time we have eaten here for Valentine’s. We were able to combine and share the salads and sides because it is usually just too much to eat. Filet was cooked just like we like it and we both like it different!! Justin was our waiter and did an excellent job. We were sad to hear that our waiter last year had passed away - his name was Mitchell and he was very special. We will definitely come back!!
The food was great as usual from Ruth's Chris; the location and environment of this particular location was kind of strange. I found my experience at the Embassy suites where this is located to be sub par but the restaurant was nice. It was in a location and the environment of the hotel was not comfortable at all; the restaurant was much better but I feel some of the noise from the hotel carried over into the dining location.
We had pretty good service there during our meal; just not the best experience I have at a this brand of restaurants.
