   Great! The only thing was a table behind use complained about everything. It was very distracting. The waiter and who I guess was a manager was doing everything they could to please them. It sounded like a ploy for freebies!!! Other than that it was a wonderful night out and plan to return soon:)

   As always, the food was very good. Our server was excellent. The atmosphere in the very dated Embassy suites could be better. Would be nice, and probably more profitable for Ruth’s Chris to relocate to somewhere like Hoover.

   We went there on the spur of the moment just wanting there house salad with 1000 Island Dressing and there appetizer of spicy shrimp and oysters If you have never tried them give it a chance you want be disappointed Service was wonderful !!

   The food was delicious; however, the service was terrible. We have a $100 gift card that we forgot to bring with us and said afterwards that we will not be using it because the service makes spending $300, or more, for a meal just not worth it. There are much better places one can go for a good meal that has great service. The entire team should be pushing to offer the best experience one can get and so much of that is dependent upon hiring, and training, good wait staff. It’s not hard. Even offering crappy service, wait staff can make a ton of money - just imagine what you could make if you worked on your craft and just put a tinsy bit of effort into it.

    The food was fantastic. The steak could’ve used a little more seasoning but it was cooked perfectly. Our server was outstanding. The only bad thing was it was so hot and humid in the restaurant and the hotel that it is inside of was dirty in the lobby.

    My husband and I chose to have our 19th Anniversary dinner at Ruth’s Chris here in Birmingham. And let me say, it did not disappoint! We were greeted by the hostesses in a professional, prompt, and friendly manner. We had a 7pm reservation and were sat immediately upon arrival (6:56pm). I also received a text regarding our reservation and was able to respond that we were in route. While walking to our table the hostess chatted with us and made us feel very welcomed. Even acknowledged our anniversary! As soon as we sat our server, Steven, greeted us, filled our waters and informed us of the special. We started our meal with the Seared Ahi Tuna appetizer, which was delightful and the on our table in less than 10mins! And the relish served with it is certainly created just for that dish (I’m not a fan of sweet for meals but it was truly perfect!) it paired well with the tuna. We then had the house salads, ranch was perfect. We both had the 11oz filet (Pittsburgh rare). They were cooked perfectly! The steaks were so tender I could’ve cut through them with a butter knife. Perfectly seasoned. I’m very picky about my steak so to say it was perfect, I truly mean that. Our sides consisted of a loaded baked potato (it was huge), lobster Mac and cheese, and creamed spinach……all were delicious. After we ate all we could Steven boxed our remaining portions up for us. Which were a lot. Yes, some may say the prices are high but you do get a lot of food which I feel should be considered. Really one side dish would feed at least two. That lobster Mac & cheese would probably feed four! So do not allow the prices to overly concern as they overly compensate with the amount of food. I ordered my husband cheesecake to go, we were stuffed! When our desert to go came out Steven also brought out a complimentary dessert with “Happy Anniversary” nicely written in chocolate on the plate to us. I thought that was rather sweet! And not some nasty house cheap desert, it was a chocolate mousse

    Seated us in a very poorly lighted area...Lot's of noise from kids running from the pool area. Steak was spot on, always consistent! Side dish was not hot enough to melt butter.

    Service good except it seemed too long to get the food from the kitchen. It very well may be that there wasn’t enough staff working in that area. This is understandable, a lot of restaurants are experiencing a shortage of staff. The restaurant does need some upgrades. The dining room decor is outdated. The food was outstanding!

    The steaks were top notch! The service was outstanding, and they accommodated my girlfriends birthday perfectly. My only real critique I would have is that perhaps maybe there should’ve been a little more “atmosphere” in the room, like maybe some music to break up the silence of the more open areas of the restaurant. Other than that, a great experience that I’m sure I will want to go back and do again! 👍

    I booked reservations for my birthday/Valentine’s day. For the most part I enjoyed my experience. Food & drinks were great! Waiter was nice and attentive. I don’t understand what’s the point of making a reservation when a table isn’t available when you get there though. It was okay because we didn’t wait long, but still.

    When we arrived to the hostess desk, she stated to us that our reservation had been canceled because we were 20min late. She said there is only a 10min grace period. However, we did not get a call or text. Stated we could sit at the bar because she had no slot to put us. As we waited at the bar we noticed her seat several people with late reservations. One that was directly behind us with the same reservation time. We asked her about it and she lied and said no. A manger was standing there at the time and overheard the conversation and stated they would seat us. We eat there all the time and have never had an issue like this. I’m very unsatisfied because if you tell one person no then you need to tell everyone. Once we were seated in the dinning area there were multiple tables available.

    Ordered the NY Strip and it came out way over cooked and dry. However my wife got the filet and it was cooked perfectly. Sides (lobster Mac and creamed spinach) were “luke” warm at best. Glad I had a gift card for part of the bill. Overall not worth the price IMO.

    Great Valentine’s Day for my wife and I. We were very satisfied with our server Jacob as well as his knowledge of the food menu as well as the wine and cocktail menu. He even introduced me to a new wine that I absolutely loved. It was a Cabernet that I had my wife write down for our next visit. The only problem we had was with my wife’s potatoes au gratin. It was very runny and lackluster in taste but the manager for the night removed it off of our bill, apologized and thanked us for letting them know. We plan on returning again as we always do because of the friendly staff, fantastic food and pleasant ambience (when not places under the open area of the hotel).

    We go to Ruth’s Chris for almost every Valentine’s Day - this was the weekend before V-Day. It took us a while to find a bottle of wine we wanted; our order was a bit slow getting out but our server, Morgan, came by periodically to apologize for the wait, that the kitchen was very busy. When we received our order, my husband’s medium filet was actually cold - as in not at all warm and very rare- in the middle. We flagged Morgan and she whisked it away. Meanwhile, I ate my dinner so it wouldn’t get cold. The manager came back with Morgan and a new plate with a properly prepared filet on it, and apologized for the mistake. There was no compensation for the mistake, but we did not ask for that. A new order was brought out within minutes and we enjoyed the rest of our evening. We appreciated that the manager came by personally to bring my husband’s dinner and make sure we were happy. Ruth’s Chris has a prix fix menu that is a great value and good for those whose appetite is not up to giant steaks - a 6 oz filet with shrimp or lobster tail, salad or soup, a side, and a dessert - in our case, cheesecake - is a great special dinner for the price, without being too much to eat or having to take half of it home.

    I definitely didn’t care for the seating arrangement outside in the hotel lobby. My wife and I would have preferred inside the restaurant for her birthday dinner. The waitress was very nice, but inadequately trained.

    Serviced was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Only complaint was that I had asked for my steak to be served blued. Really was not prepared properly. Not a lot of restaurants know how to prepare a blued steak but i would have thought Ruth Chris chefs would. Elmer K. Pierce
